Had an amazing photoshoot with Riely yesterday. Riely is a Ballerina, Model, Actress, Martial Artist, Stunt & Aerial Performer, and a talented Make-Up artist. The only thing she doesn’t do is small engine repair

I had the opportunity to shoot some VIPs at an Eric Clapton concert in Hong Kong on Feb 18. This also included a very brief visit by Eric Clapton himself. He came out so I could take some photos with him with a few of the guests and before you knew it he returned back to the green room to prepare for the show. I wasn’t a big Eric Clapton fan but it was a fantastic concert. He is an amazingly gifted musician that really knows how to entertain. I’ll buy a ticket to his concert the next time he is in town whether I’m working it or not.

I was able to get very close to the stage which allowed me to get some of these great shots. Most of the press was way at the back of the arena by the sound board. Lucky me

All of the wider angle photos were shot with a Canon 5d mark II with a 24-105 F4. The close up photos were all taken with a Canon 7D with a 70-200 F4. If I shoot more events like this I’ll probably upgrade my 70-200 to an F2.8. That extra stop of light would have really helped.

I had the pleasure of shooting model/actress/singer/songwriter Maya in the studio last week. She’s also the winner of Miss World Supermodel 2010. Obviously a pro and the pics prove it.

We were out on location today at one of my favorite spots. The best part is we were joined by two lovely models. Miyuki and Melissa.

Almost of the photos were lit with an off camera flash in a Ezybox hotshoe softbox. It’s a great piece of kit that is very portable and produces a very soft light.

Here are some pics from the recent shoot with Anna. I was also able to use my digital infrared camera for the first time in the studio. Still need to work on the post processing a little but they turned out pretty good. I also put together a quick video slide show along with the usual gallery.
