Gary Stokan has done a lot for sports in Georgia. The President and CEO of the Chick-fil-A Bowl also serves in the same capacity for Atlanta Hall Management, Inc. – the organization created to build and manage the new College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. Stokan also currently serves as chairman of the Atlanta Local Organizing Committee to recruit the FIFA World Cup in 2018 or 2022. He is past president of the Atlanta Sports Council where he served for 12 years, concurrently with his role with the Chick-fil-A Bowl. BI had a chance to catch up with Gary at SEC Media Days to talk about the Dawgs’ upcoming season opener in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game against Boise State.

The Gym Dawgs welcome a new member to their team, but she has been part of the UGA family her whole life. Lindsey Cheek was born and raised in Athens, Georgia, and recently graduated from Oconee County High School. She has been involved in gymnastics since she was four. Now she has taken her athletic career to UGA, and has been practicing with the team for the past month. I met her before practice to talk to her about how life as a Gym Dawg has been so far.
