This week at Broken Rainbow HQ, Max Zachs, from Channel 4’s My Transsexual Summer, dropped by to help with the launch of our new helpline for trans people. It was great fun meeting Max, who is really passionate about helping lesbian, gay, bi and trans people affected by domestic violence. We got to tell him all about Broken Rainbow’s services, while he shared some gossip on what it’s like to be a new TV star.

While he was here, Max recorded a short video message, encouraging trans people to call during our new helpline hours. We’ll be releasing the video soon. But for now, he’s a photo of Max with Charlie, our helpline manager.

Our new, dedicated trans helpline hours launch on 14 February at Bar Wotever in London. From then, the helpline will be open for an additional 4 hours on Tuesdays 1-5pm, when you’ll be able to talk to a trans person about domestic violence. However, our trans callers are also welcome to call at any other time, as all of our staff are able to take you call.
