It was announced last month that Shrek will play it's final performance on Broadway on January 3. I for one think that the show deserves a longer run. Sure the show may not be perfect but it is a lot more entertaining then a lot of shows out there right now. I'll be the first to admit that I went into the show not expecting much.

I had never seen any of the movies so I wasn't really sure what to expect accept a singing ogre and his friends. I was not only pleasantly surprised but I had a great time. It's got great music, a funny yet touching story, and a cast that entertains and warm's your heart all at the same time. What more could you ask for in a Broadway musical? It's a shame that a show as good as Shrek couldn't find an audience. I guess Disney won the battle of the cartoon musicals after all. Can anyone take down the Mouse? The future looks bleak.

JWB
Applause Theatre and Entertainment
311 West 43rd Street
Suite 601
New York,NY 10036
212-307-7050 or 1-800-451-9930

http://www.applause-tickets.com/

Follow us at http://twitter.com/applausetickets
Facebook: Applause Theater and Entertainment Service,Inc

Today marks the Jersey Boys fourth year on Broadway. I remember when the show was first announced back in early 2005 I wasn't too excited. Don't get me wrong. I like their music. I just wasn't sure how they were going to incorporate it into the show. Was it just going to be a concert or were they actually going to tell their story? It turns out I was worried for nothing. The show opened to rave reviews and became a massive it. Not only that but it won the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical. Not too bad for a show that most people didn't think was going to be all that successful.

Two years into it's run I finally got a chance to see it. You see even thought it was a hit I was still a bit skeptical about whether I would like it or not. Once again I was proved wrong. I loved it. In fact I would put Jersey Boys up there with my favorite Broadway shows of all time. Now while the show was entertaining what really got me was the story.

Being a composer myself I know what it's like to have to work your ass off to get someone or anyone for that matter to hear your stuff. After seeing the show my struggles are nothing compared to what these four boys from New Jersey went thru to achieve their dreams. Enough about me. You can hear more about my show when it opens on Broadway in 2011.By the way that is wishful thinking on my part. Anyway back to the reason for my blog. Go see Jersey Boys. It is an amazing show that I know you will love if you just give it a chance. By the way you don't have to be a fan of their music or be from New Jersey to appreciate the show. Although it helps. Until next time theatre fans.

JWB
Applause Theatre and Entertainment
311 West 43rd Street
Suite 601
New York,NY 10036
212-307-7050 or 1-800-451-9930

http://www.applause-tickets.com/

Follow us at http://twitter.com/applausetickets
Facebook: Applause Theater and Entertainment Service,Inc

This should be one of the bright spots for the current Broadway season. Let me explain why.

Firstly you will get to see two amazing Broadway regulars, Victor Garber (Damn Yankees, Lend Me a Tenor, Little Me, Deathtrap) and Harriet Harris (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Cry-Baby and many others). Present Laughter will play a limited engagement at the American Airlines Theater from January 2 through March 21, 2010 and is a Roundabout Theatre Company production.

This very funny comedy tells the story of a matinee idol called Garry as we witness him planning for an upcoming trip to Africa. Before not too long, Garry finds his beautiful London flat invaded by several people who turn his life upside down, including his estranged wife and a young playwright. All hell breaks loose before Garry gets to escape on his trip.

Direction of Present Laughter is by Nicholas Martin. The show is 2 and 1/2 hours long including 2 intermissions.

If you feel like just talking about Present Laughter, obtaining tickets to the show or need some restaurant suggestions when planning a visit to one of the many Broadway Shows, Applause Ticket Agency looks forward to your call.

I hope this information is helpful to you or someone you know.

Take care now.

Regards, Rich Gladstone
Applause Ticket Agency (NY State License #71AP1001029)
311 West 43rd Street, suite 601
NY,NY 10036
local phone 212-307-7050
toll free 800-451-9930

Become a fan on Facebook
Follow us at www.twitter.com/applausetickets

It's a place on my way walking home from work in New York City but very much within walking distance of many of the Broadway Theaters.

So I thought I would suggest you consider having dinner at Ristorante Il Melograno, located at 501 West 51 st Street on Tenth Avenue. Sure it is a 10 minute walk or very short cab ride to most of the Broadway theaters but very much worth the trip.

The restaurateur is Alberto Tartari who opened his first restaurant in the Lombardy region of Northern Italy in 1991. Mr. Tartari opened this restaurant some 20 years after visiting New York, always planning on returning to Hells Kitchen and doing so. He prides himself on using only the freshest of healthy ingredients in his cooking, the very concept that he used way back in his first restaurant experience. Most of the products used are imported from Italy. His breads and pastas are homemade and you would be hard pressed to find better in my opinion. Mr. Tartari doesn't use any MSG or trans fats in either of his two establishments. The Chianti and other wines are very tasty and inexpensive and don't even get me started about his desserts. they're awesome.

Tonight I had a Cesar salad, the Monk fish and risotto special and a glass of Chianti. It was a hearty meal and cost only $43.00 or so. Although I consider Il Molegrano a neighborhood restaurant, I know in my heart that many of our customers that we provide Broadway Show tickets to will love this place. Although the atmosphere is on the ordinary side in appearance, the excellent food and very capable and extremely friendly staff easily makes up for it.

Il Molegrano's web site is http://www.ilmelogranonyc.com/ . Their phone number is 212-757-9290. They are open 7 days a week with Brunch offered on Saturdays and Sundays.

This information is brought to you by Rich Gladstone from Applause Ticket Agency in New York City. And being from New York City all my life, although we usually have pretty cold weather at this time of year, we don't always have a White Christmas. With this in mind, I must tell you how much I thoroughly enjoyed seeing White Christmas on Broadway when it played here last year. The show did so well wowing audiences, and making money of course, that it looks like White Christmas will be coming back each year around this time. So although it sounds kind of corny, it looks like there will be a White Christmas in New York City this year. Well at least the Broadway kind for sure.

Since this is an article about the Broadway Show called White Christmas, which was a very poplar show last year (2008), I thought I'd share some useful information with you regarding this years production. Right now you can consider contacting Applause Ticket Agency (License #71AP1001029) and obtaining tickets for this great show at reduced prices for many of its performances. Do bear in mind that during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, discounts are not valid as the show will sell out all their inventory. Still White Christmas on Broadway in conjunction with Applause Ticket Agency will hold great seats for you for this limited engagement of only 64 performances.

White Christmas is based on the wonderful classic film starring Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby as two former army pals who go onto become a very successful nightclub act. They find out that their former commanding officer who runs a little Vermont ski lodge is having troubles of his own and decide to pitch in and help stage a variety show that will help keep the "old man's" business afloat. Of course the two guys are both searching for love in their lives and lots of interesting things begin to happen when the guys meet up with a "sister act" that have plans of their own.

White Christmas on Broadway will have direction from Walter Bobbie with a book written by Paul Blake and David Ives. Randy Skinner provides the choreography with music supervision by Rob Berman. Irving Berlin wrote the music for the show which include many famous classics that you'll recall for sure.

White Christmas has a very talented cast of performers. They include James Clow (Assassins, Company, Blood Brothers), Melisa Errico (she's done lots of Broadway including High Society, Amour and My Fair Lady), Tony Yazbeck (Gypsy), Maria Davi (The Drowsey Chaperone, A Chorus Line), Ruth Williamson (White Christmas, La Cage Aux Folles), Peter Reardon (Urinetown, Passion), Remy Auberjonois (Frost/Nixon), Cliff Bemis (The Drowsey Chaperone, White Christmas), Madeline Rose Yen (Annie Get Your Gun, Peter Pan, Beauty and The Beast)and David Ogden Stiers (from the hit TV series MASH).

Here are some excellent reviews I've come across.

"This Cozy Trip Down Memory Lane Should be on Your Wish List."- Charles Isherwood-The New York Times

"A Holiday Card come to Life."- Joe Dziemianowicz-Daily News

"The Perfect Gift! Then there are people that love some of his work and don't like some of his other works.

Mr. Mamet has written some really good ones that were very popular runs on Broadway. They include Speed The Plow, Glengarry Glen Ross and American Buffalo.

Race is a new play by Mamet. It is about 3 lawyers, two are black and one is white. Their firm is about to defend a white man that is being charged for a crime against a black woman. I think we will be witness to there being some problems that develop on the lawyer's side regarding possible racial allegations.

Race has quite a talented cast that include James Spader (Boston Legal), Richard Thomas (The Waltons), David Alan Grier ( A Soldiers Story, In Living Color) and Kerry Washington (Lakeview Terrace, Ray). Race will be the first time Mr. Mamet will direct one of his own plays. This should be exciting for sure.

A local Broadway ticket agency called Applause has the inside track on discounted tickets of admission for Race. In conjunction with the producers of Race, Applause is able to obtain orchestra, front mezzanine and some mid mezzanine seats at prices that are Below Face Value. We call these our BFV ticket deals. Click here to see a current listing of several other Broadway shows you might want to see.

Right now these specially priced seats are good for performances through December 23, 2009. If the show is reviewed in a very positive way, it is possible that discount tickets will have to be stopped.

Being a huge fan of the hit TV series Boston Legal, I am looking forward to seeing James Spader play a lawyer in Race. He's one of the great actors of our time I think.

I hope you find this information about David Mamet's new show Race helpful to you or someone you know. If you want to talk about Race coming to Broadway, you can call Applause locally at 212-307-7050 or toll free at 1800-451-9930. There is never any pressure to buy tickets. We just consider ourselves folks who know Broadway Theater and love helping people make their plans.

Enjoy the Broadway Theater.

Sincerely,
Rich Gladstone
Applause Ticket Agency (license #71AP1001029)
311 West 43rd Street, suite 601
NY,NY 10036
website

Become an Applause fan on Facebook
Follow us at www.twitter.com/applausetickets

The only catch is tickets need to be purchased by December 20, 2009.

Bye Bye Birdie is a production of the Roundabout Theatre Company which also has a few other shows playing in New York right now including After Miss Julie and Wishful Drinking. This production is the first revival in 50 years for Bye Bye Birdie and stars some of my all-time favorite actors- John Stamos, Gina Gershon, Bill Irwin, Jayne Houdyshell, Dee Hoty and Nolan Gerard Funk (who plays the lead Conrad Bridie). Bye Bye Birdie is a cute story about an emerging rock star, his manager and what unfolds as the lead in the show-Conrad Birdie is about to join the military. The show has a book written by Michael Stewart with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Lee Adams and direction and choreography by Robert Longbottom.

I've seen the show a few weeks ago and although I think they could have made some artistic changes in the show, for the most part it is an enjoyable little musical. Although many songs may seem memorable to those who choose to buy tickets for this version of Bye Bye Birdie, the best thing about the show seem to be its lead stars, Gina Gershon (gorgeous and talented) and John Stamos, an actor who has made quite a name for himself on stage, in film and in television as well.

If you think you or someone you know might want to see this Bye Bye Birdie, we can help you score some top priced seats, at prices that won't scare you away. Interested ticket buyers can contact a local Broadway ticket agency called Applause. Tonight will mark the official start of the 2009-2010 New York City Opera season. Included in this season's offerings are such classics as Don Giovanni and Madame Butterfly. It's funny but in all the years that I have lived in New York I have never been to an opera. I had always wanted to see La Boheme because it was based on my favorite show of all time Rent. Considering it plays here every year I figure I'll eventually get around to seeing it.

Now while we specialize in getting tickets for all Broadway and Off-Broadway shows we do have access to tickets to all events in New York as well as Nationwide. So if you are looking for tickets to Opera, Ballet, Sports, or Theatre than Applause is the place for all your tickets needs. Why not give us a try? So, short of inviting everyone over to my apartment I have put together a list of reasonably priced restaurants close enough to the theatre district. I also chose restaurants with a child price and menu as many who have been asking are families. So here they are:

Brasserie 44 (212-944-8844)
We will be offering a traditional Thanksgiving dinner w. all the trimmings ($70/adult; $35/child).

Brasserie 81/2 (212-829-0812)
Make your Thanksgiving feast a breeze this year & indulge in Chef Julian Alonzo's delicious 3-course prix-fixe menu ($49/adult; $24.50/child). I am of course talking about Wicked. The show which celebrated it's sixth year on Broadway just last week continues to sell out nightly at the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway. Not only that but it continues to break box office records at theatres all around the world.

I saw the show during it's preview period in 2003 and while I enjoyed it I never expected it to become the phenomenon that is has become. I don't think anybody did. Every year there are rumblings about them turning the show into a movie but I think it would be wise to wait a few more years. A movie is not going to make them sell any more tickets than they already have. Regardless Wicked is here to stay. It is Broadway's most "Popular" show after all. Get your tickets to see Wicked at a theatre near you. Don't forget. We are just a phone away.

JWB
Applause Theatre and Entertainment
311 West 43rd Street
Suite 601
New York,NY 10036
212-307-7050 or 1-800-451-9930

http://www.applause-tickets.com/

Follow us at http://twitter.com/applausetickets
Facebook: Applause Theater and Entertainment Service,Inc

The tag line was "Broadway's Sure Thing". It got me thinking. When it comes to Broadway nowadays the term "Sure Thing" doesn't really apply anymore. Gone are the days when any big musical from London was an automatic hit. Yes Billy Elliot is very popular and was showered with awards but seats are usually available for most performances. In the state that the economy is in people simply can't or won't shell out a $126 to see a show that may or not be any good.Look at something like Memphis. It got great reviews across the board and yet last week they were at 60% capacity. What does that tell you?

Look Broadway isn't going anywhere. There will always be plenty of new shows or revivals coming in each and every season. That will never change. However if Broadway is going to thrive then the price of the ticket either needs to go down or the costs of the productions do. When a show like Spider-Man needs to spend $52 million on a show then something needs to change. It is just one man's opinion. Until next time theatre fans.

JWB
Applause Theatre and Entertainment
311 West 43rd Street
Suite 601
New York,NY 10036
212-307-7050 or 1-800-451-9930

http://www.applause-tickets.com/

Follow us at http://twitter.com/applausetickets
Facebook: Applause Theater and Entertainment Service,Inc

Well look no further than Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific. Not only does the show contain some of the most beautiful music ever written for the American musical theatre but it is also one of the most romantic shows on the Great White Way. The show which won seven 2008 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival continues to enchant audiences eight times a week at Broadway's Vivian Beaumont Theatre.

I had the pleasure of seeing the show right before it opened last year and thought it was one of the most visually stunning productions I have ever seen. Not too mention a cast of Broadway veterans and newcomers who made the stage come alive. If you get a chance on your next trip to New York I highly recommend you see it if you get the chance. Well what are you waiting for? Now is the best time to see one of Broadway's biggest hits. The show which first premiered in London is not only a huge hit on Broadway but all around the world. In fact it's been estimated that over 30 million people have seen Mamma Mia since it first opened in 1999. Not bad for a show that nobody thought would make it in the first place.

Now I personally have never seen the show. Mamma Mia is here to stay. That you can count on.

JWB
Applause Theatre and Entertainment
311 West 43rd Street
Suite 601
New York,NY 10036
212-307-7050 or 1-800-451-9930

http://www.applause-tickets.com/

Follow us at http://twitter.com/applausetickets
Facebook: Applause Theater and Entertainment Service,Inc

The celebration includes Lincoln Center Theater's show now in previews at the Lyceum Theater called In The Next Room, or the vibrator play. Although I have plans to see the show personally within the next week or so (I see them all), it sounds like In The Next Room, or the vibrator play should be a very funny, touching, provocative and entertaining story. It's about a young doctor and his wife. Dr. Givings is played by Michael Cerveris and his wife Catherine by Laura Benanti. I last saw Ms. Benanti in Gypsy and she was amazing.

Sarah Ruhl is the writer of this play. Ms. Ruhl must have wondered why back in the 1880's that medical doctors used "vibrator therapies" on some of their female patients to treat episodes of hysteria. It appears that hysteria was a real diagnosis. One that was often given to women in that era. It seems that it was a common way to treat this medical condition was with electrical stimulating machines or what is commonly thought of now- vibrators.

In the show, apparently Dr. Givings is one of those people who is completely obsessed with all the latest technology. With this in mind, the good doctor is always seeking to find out how this technology can help his female patients. Although he doesn't quite understand exactly "how the vibrators help", his patients always come back for more treatment. Catherine, his wife, only gets to hear sounds that come from the doctor's treatment room. Catherine wants to be closer to her husband but not necessarily by electric means. I guess you may want to get some tickets to find out exactly what happens.

In The Next Room, or the vibrator play is directed by Les Waters with set design by Annie Smart. David Zinn, Russell Champa, Brad Poor and Jonathan Bell are responsible for costume design, lighting design, sound design and original music.

In The Next Room, or the vibrator play opens officially on Broadway on November 19, 2009. Prior to its opening, the local ticket experts at Applause Ticket Agency (NY State license #71AP1001029) can offer the public amazing seats in the orchestra section of the Lyceum Theater for below face value prices. What this means is we can get you into the show for below the regular cost price of the tickets. In fact, if you purchase your tickets before the shows opening night, we can extend the special offer through January 10, 2010.

Where else can you obtain tickets for In The Next Room, or the vibrator play or any of the other Broadway Insider Price Shows for less than the regular cost price. Oh and did I forget to mention the outstanding personal service Applause has?

Our toll free number in New York is 800-451-9930 or you can call us locally at 212-307-7050 seven days a week.

What are you waiting for? Fela! uses the uniqueness of Afrobeat, which is a combination of Jazz, Funk and African rhythm and harmonies. This great music is used to tell the inspirational story of the controversial African artist and musician and political activist named Fela Kuti.

Fela Kuti's amazing songs along with Tony Award winner Bill T. Jones original staging makes for a very special theater experience indeed. Mr. Jones also is the writer of Fela! musicals book.

One of the many markets we serve when providing tickets to theater-goers are sales to hotel concierge. In making my rounds visiting various hotel concierge in New York City over the past few weeks, I must say that most of these New York City experts really love the Fela! musical. My friend Lorena is a head concierge at the newly refurbished Surrey Hotel on East 73rd Street and she said "Rich, I really loved everything about Fela! and often suggest my hotel guests go to see it".

Of course Fela! will be a much different theater experience than you've ever had. But if you are looking to see something that only comes along once every 10 to 20 years or so, maybe Fela! is the show you've been waiting for.

Right now, the local Broadway ticket experts at Applause Ticket Agency in New York City (NY State license #71AP1001029) have an arrangement with Fela! which will give our customers access to top priced seating for this amazing event along with greatly reduced prices. It's very simple really when you think about it. Fela! wants an introduction to the average Broadway theater-goer so they can sell more tickets to the show. With this in mind, Fela! is giving our company Applause a significant discount. We in turn, pass on the reduced price we can buy the tickets for, add on a small service charge and offer the public seats at terrific prices.

From now through November 21, 2009, we can provide tickets at below face value for Fela! And provide excellent orchestra and front mezzanine seats as well. If you think you might want to see something unique on Broadway, consider a call to Applause today. Ask for the Fela! BFV ticket special. The movie was one of my favorites growing up as a child and I was eager to finally see a "live" version of this classic musical. Not only that but I couldn't wait to see one of my favorite performers Karen Olivo perform the role of Anita. Early on in the run we were invited to see the show and I was hoping that I wouldn't be disappointed.

So there I was on a rainy Wednesday afternoon sitting next to my boss waiting for the show to begin. All of a sudden that old familiar tune began to play. I got chills. That would not be the last time. Now the show isn't perfect. While I enjoyed the show overall there were parts that could and should have been stronger. However the blame lies with the director. Not the cast.

Having said that if you are looking for a show with a spectacular score and a cast of hard working performers than this is the show too see. The show which won three 2009 Tony Awards including Best Play has been a smash hit ever since it opened this past Spring at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre on Broadway. In fact the show has been so popular that even I couldn't get a ticket and I work in the industry. Not that I haven't tried.

A new cast of theatre and television veterans are set to take over on November 17th. They are Christine Lahti, Annie Potts, Jimmy Smits and Ken Stott who originated the role in the London production last year. Now while the show is extremely popular it is mostly due in part too it's current all-star cast. The big question is if it can sell just as well without them.We will soon find out. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

I have read many articles pertaining to ticket prices being overpriced for the New York Yankees, Broadway Shows and most headliner concerts throughout the country. In addition, there is growing controversy around the nation that several NFL football franchises like the New York Jets and New York Giants are making their fans purchase PSL's. PSL's stand for Personal Seat License. Since taxpayers are not paying the bill for the new stadium that the Jets and Giants are going to play in next year, the teams are insisting that their season ticket holders have to pay for the stadium to be built.

For instance, I personally have been on the New York Giants "wait list" to get season tickets for about 15 years now. The team keeps calling me and emailing me offers to purchase a PSL and all the seats that you want to buy, which cost $250.00 per seat, per game. If I were to buy the PSL and only keep my season tickets for 1 year, each seat would cost $7500.00 (for the PSL) and $250.00 for each seat for 10 games. This comes out to $1000.00 a game. That's a little too rich for my blood. I will enjoy watching the Giants play every week on my big flat screen TV at home and save the money for something my family really needs.

Yes I'm sure there are plenty of folks that will cave in and buy the PSL's and accompanying seats but it has irritated thousands of fans that have been football season subscribers for decades now. Many are going to give up the subscriptions in protest before being forced to pay for the new PSL's and higher ticket prices. This doesn't seem fair does it?

I have heard reports that the New York Yankees attendance in 2009 has fallen 13 %. Could it be that people are tired of having to overpay for tickets, especially during uncertain economic times. Sure the new stadium is gorgeous, I've been there 9 times this year. You might ask why I complain then go to see all these ballgames. The answer is a simple one. I know how to shop for the best seats and also search for the best value.

The same goes for Broadway Theater. There are hundreds of web sites that claim to sell tickets to Broadway. How true, but they mostly all look alike. They show the same seats on many of these sites with prices that range from high to outrageous.

If you are sick and tired of getting "ripped off" and could use some expert advice regarding how to shop for the best seats for Broadway or just about any event ticket, my suggestion is to stop clicking on and off different web sites and call a "local expert" in the area your event is taking place. For instance, my company is called Applause Theater Service, located at 311 West 42rd Street, suite 601, New York, New York 10036.

Our area of expertise is Broadway Theater tickets and sporting and concert tickets in the New York tri-state area. Although we have access to events all over the country, we seek out advice from other local ticket experts, gather information for you then try to acquire seats for you. Or just make suggestions for you.

So for everyone who is sick and tired of paying too much for Broadway, Concert and Sporting Event tickets, may I suggest you place a call to Applause today. Applause has a down to earth group of real people you can trust. And it won't cost you an arm and a leg either.

Applause can be reached locally in New York at 212-307-7050 or toll free at 800-51-9930, seven days a week. I hope this information was helpful to you.

Sincerely,
Rich Gladstone
Applause Theatre Service (NY State License #71AP1001029)
311 West 43rd Street, suite 601
NY,NY 10036
web site
Follow Applause at www.twitter.com/applausetickets
Become a fan of Applause on Facebook

It's time for my weekly In The Heights blog. I bet you thought I was going to forget didn't you? The big question is what to blog about? Yes I love the show and if I had too I could probably blog about it everyday of the week. Today's blog is about it's National tour. The show which won the Tony Award in 2008 for Best Musical launched it's tour on October 27 at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. This is good news for fans of the show who can't make the trip to New York to see it. If you get the chance to see it I highly recommend you do. It is winner. Oh and by the way if you want to see In The Heights on Broadway or anywhere Nationwide don't forget Applause is just a phone call away.

Tour Dates
Nov. 3 - 8, 2009
Atlanta, GA The Fox Theatre
Nov. 10 - 22, 2009
St. Louis, MO The Fabulous Fox
Nov. 24 - 29, 2009
Columbus, OH Ohio Theatre
Dec. 1 - 6, 2009
Minneapolis, MN Orpheum
Dec. 8 - 13, 2009
Appleton, WI Fox Cities Performing Arts Centerm Theatre
Dec. 15 - Jan. 3, 2009
Chicago, IL Cadillac Palace Theatre
Jan. 5 - 10, 2010
Hartford, CT The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts
Jan. 12 - 24, 2010
Boston, MA Boston Opera House
Jan. 26 - 31, 2010
Buffalo, NY Shea's Performing Arts Center
Feb. 2 - 7, 2010
Pittsburgh, PA Benedum Center
Feb. 9 - 21, 2010
Cleveland, OH PlayhouseSquare / Palace Theatre
Feb. 23 - Mar. 7, 2010
Baltimore, MD Hippodrome Theatre
Mar. 9 - 14, 2010
Orlando, FL Carr Performing Arts Centre
Mar. 16 - 28, 2010
Fort Lauderdale, FL Broward Center for the Performing Arts
Mar. 29 - Apr. 3, 2010
Naples, FL Philharmonic Center for the Arts
Apr. 6 - 18, 2010
Houston, TX Hobby Center for the Performing Arts
Apr. 20 - 25, 2010
Austin, TX Bass Concert Hall
Apr. 27 - May 9, 2010
Denver, CO The Buell Theatre
Jun. 15 - 20, 2010
Tempe, AZ ASU Gammage
Jun. 22 - Jul. 11, 2010
Los Angeles, CA Pantages Theatre
Jul. 27 - Aug. 1, 2010
San Diego, CA San Diego Civic Theatre
Aug. 3 - 15, 2010
Costa Mesa, CA Orange County Performing Arts Center

JWB
Applause Theatre and Entertainment
311 West 43rd Street
Suite 601
New York,NY 10036
212-307-7050 or 1-800-451-9930

http://www.applause-tickets.com/

Follow us at http://twitter.com/applausetickets
Facebook: Applause Theater and Entertainment Service,Inc

I can't tell you how much I loved this production. Going in I knew a few of the songs but that was it. Everybody I know had been raving about it for so long I figured it was time to see what the fuss was all about. From the opening number I was literally transported back to the 1960's. Every actor from the ensemble to the leads were dead on. I can't imagine anyone not loving this show.

Now for those of you who may be turned off by the nudity, don't be. It is very brief. If you are looking for an amazing and uplifting show then Hair is the one to see. By the way after the show is over the cast invites everyone in the audience to come up on stage and join in the celebration. Bet you can't say that about any other Broadway show can you? The show which first premiered on Broadway in November 1997 is still one of Broadway's top selling shows and should continue to be for a very long time. Now I personally have never seen the show. Those of you who read my blogs know I am not the biggest Disney fan in the world. However you can't deny it's popularity. I can't tell you how many people call everyday asking for tickets to this show. You would think after twelve years it would slow down but as I said it is still one of the most popular shows on the Great White Way. Not only that but it is the perfect show for young and old alike. Call Applause now to get your tickets to see The Lion King on Broadway. I am of course talking about Billy Elliot The Musical. The 2009 Tony Award winner for Best Musical. The show which first premiered in London and opened to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike will celebrate it's first year on Broadway next month. Now while I haven't see the show there is no denying it's appeal to people from all walks of life. I expect Billy Elliot to be around for a very long time. Now while the show is popular there are still good seats available for most performances. All you have to do is give us the date and the number of seats and we will do the rest. It's that easy. Call Applause now to get your tickets to see Billy Elliot on Broadway. Boy time sure does fly doesn't it? The show which believe it or not is still a big seller continues to charm audiences eight times a week at Broadway's Majestic Theatre. Growing up in a small town in Illinois I wasn't exposed to a lot of theatre except the shows I did in high school or the local community theatre. Then one day our choir director brought in a copy of the soundtrack and I fell in love with the score. Just a few months later it was announced that Phantom was coming to Chicago and I would finally get the chance to see a live production of the show. Well wouldn't you know it but Illinois was hit with one of the biggest snowstorms in years and I couldn't go. I guess I was destined never to see it. Cut to two years later and I moved to New York to study acting and my school gave all the students tickets to see the show. Finally after all these years I was going to see the show that I had been listening too non-stop. The big question is whether or not it would live up to all my expectations. I am happy to report that it did. What a great show. Yes I know some people find the show a bit sappy and over dramatic at times but I really enjoyed it. If you go in knowing what to expect than you will have a great time. I sure did, and I know millions of other people did as well. A show doesn't last all those years for nothing you know.

JWB

Applause Theatre and Entertainment

311 West 43rd Street

Suite 601

New York,NY 10036

212-307-7050 or 1-800-451-9930

http://www.applause-tickets.com/

Follow us at http://twitter.com/applausetickets

Facebook: Applause Theater and Entertainment Service,Inc
