It was as though, I’d personally taken those letters from my own mailbox, and opened them. Like God was sending me special notes of encouragement by way of Brenda’s book.

Brenda set out to teach truths about how God truly feels about His children. About how much He loves us. I don’t believe I’ve ever read a book with the dialog set in this tone. Thus my surprise, especially since I felt like God spoke to me in a new way.

You are the apple of My eye…the most beautiful piece of pottery on My wheel…the loveliest garden I walk in…the most fragrant lily of the valley…the most perfect rose of Sharon..the most amazing butterfly I have ever crafted.

I really enjoy learning while listening to the older generation share their life experiences. Many times they’ve traveled the roads of life in ways that I’ve never thought of. When I’m around an older person I find myself digging around in their memory bank looking for treasures. It’s almost like discovering an old trunk tucked away in the attic. You can’t wait to open it because even the meager findings become a treasure to you. There seems to be a story written in each item as to their failures and successes in life. I’m sure I learn more from their failures than I do their successes. I know how to succeed—I just want to learn how to keep from failing.

I bowed low in my place of utter need “ but in a split second”, found myself upright and striding on other shores.
Essence of renewed life filled the atmosphere, floating cloud-like through my heart. Heart prints of bygone journeys entreated me, enticed me, “Follow us. We know the way.”
Tattered, weather-beaten cords of another reality unraveled [...]

There has been a great attempt to discredit you and create doubt that you do in fact hear me.As you know, this is not My work but the way the enemy works through people given to their own devices and following their own will…

Music slide show of unique approaching fog banks like I’ve never seen in the twenty years of working offshore. While no amount of pictures can take the place of witnessing this phenomenon in person, I hope you get a glimpse of the awe and wonder we felt beholding God’s beauty in creation.

Carl Boberg, a young Swedish minister, wrote this hymn in poetic phrase while walking home from a church service in a thunder storm, nearly a hundred years ago. Imagine his surprise when he heard his poem sung to an old Swedish tune. Some forty years later a Russian pastor named Stuart Hine caught in a similar thunder-storm added to this magnificent hymn. Both men, lovers of God, opened their ordinary lives to leave a great heritage for the upcoming generations.

How often you think of us, and how vast are your thoughts of us. Nothing escapes your notice.
