Young, very modern girls may find these boots a bit outdated, but women in their 40s or 50s will see them as an excellent option for smart casual outfits suitable for cold days of fall and freezing winter days. The heel height is 3 1/4 inches, so beware of those days when ice is all over the place. Black is the only color available. I think that dark brown would have been welcome as well, but it’s really no big deal, as black matches basically any other color.

One of my favorite stops when it comes to footwear is Born. Women’s shoes made by them are very appealing to my clothing style and their latest boots series, Shola, are exactly what I was after. They are an excellent choice for both jeans and dress pants, and this fact alone is going to save me some money, as I can wear them in many occasions, be it I’m going to business meetings or to casual encounters with my friends.

Shola boots are available in three color choices: black, Antique Bronze and Dark Brown. The Antique Bronze ones are made of metallic leather, while the other two are full-grain leather. The rubber forepart and outside heel give durability to these boots, so I’m positive I’m going to wear them for more than one year, if they don’t go out of fashion. The leawood wrapped heels give a special elegance to the boot, but I’d probably have to be careful where I step, in order not to destroy that wrapper.

Shola boots’ heels are 3 1/4 inches high, with a shaft height of 3 3/4 inches and the shaft circumference of 9 1/4 inches. If you’re not used to wear high heels, you might have troubles in walking in the beginning, However, the heels are solid enough for a good stability, even when you’re running.

With Born Miriam boots, however, every lady can be sure she’ll look great in lots of occasions, as these are the boots with modern design that go very well with jeans as well as with long dresses. However, the little fashion devil that resides in our minds soon got out to the light, so we now have a wide variety of water shoes brands, styles and prices. We are going to take a look at several mens water shoes models, as well as at some cool water shoes for women, and most of all, we are going to see which are the brands that started to dominate this market: Teva, Keen, Ryka, Vibram or Merrell.

One of the major edges is the fact that the shoes have individual toe slots which offer much better dexterity and control when walking on slippery surfaces. Their material has quick drying capabilities, which give you the comfort of wearing them even after you got out of the water. The special antibacterial foot beds help you stay odorless. These water shoes can be washed in the washing machine, but the advice from the manufacturer is to use only air for drying them. A special use of these mens water shoes is outside water, in the wilderness, for doing wildlife photography, when  it’s very important to stay as quiet as possible when moving. The New Balance shoes offer three choices of retro running shoes for men: the U420LK, the M480WR and the M410NYU. All these models feature a simple, classic look and style, matching most sports outfits available. As they are supposed to remind us of past times, the shoes don’t incorporate any of those modern technologies that made New Balance shoes gain a top ranking in their class. Yet, these retro kicks are lightweight and versatile, with their solid rubber outsole and their leather or mesh upper.  Amongst these three models, the 480 is maybe the best, as it has an excellent quality perforated leather upper and it features a striking colorway. The outsole is very durable, thanks to the N-Durance rubber compound it’s made of.

We are going to stop today at my favorite model of New Balance tennis shoes, the 1004. This shoe incorporates four breakthrough technologies that make them so efficient:

• Lightning Dry – this is the moisture transfer management system that keeps feet dry throughout the entire game.
• Abzorb SBS – this is the shock absorption system proprietary to New Balance
• NLock – integrated lacing and webbing system which offers your shoe a tight fit thanks to the lower midfoot support
• LockDown Liner – this system secures your feet without smothering them

The 1004 offers a very good lateral support, it’s light weight and comfortable. Besides, the combination of back and orange places it highly amongst my favorite sport shoes ever. Of course, no shoe in the world would improve my tennis skills, but at least  I can have fun with a sport I like, without worrying of killing my feet.

The New Balance 1123 running shoes weigh 414 grams, which is about 14.6 oz. Featuring the Lightning Dry technology, these New Balance running shoes manage moisture transfer in a highly efficient way, therefore your feet will always stay dry and refreshed, even in case of longer running sessions. If you like to run at night or in the evening, when sunlight dims, you’ll be safe with these shoes, because they feature a reflective detail, in order to make you visible for drivers.

In terms of looks, the 1123 have nothing special, being rather a dull model, in white and gray. Over-pronators who care about how their shoes look, could then take a lok to the 817 model, which is the improved version of New Balance 816, offering a better stability and helping prevent over-pronation thanks to the Medial Post situated on the inside edge of the shoe. The Abzorb (TM) cushioning technology is incorporated in both heel and forefoot, which makes these shoes exceptionally comfortable and protective to the joints. Born Cuff: the minimalist design of this flat sandal makes it an excellent option for the beach. With the heel high of 1 inch, and featuring an elegant toe loop styling, the Born Cuff sandal is definitely more than a simple flip-flop, as it can be matched with elegant outfits as well as with casual ones. The sandal is available in four colors: black, white, chocolate brown and Buddha, it features full-grain or metallic leather upper, rubber outsole, leather lining and a durable opanka hand-sewn construction.  At the price of $70 on the Born Shoes official website, we consider the Cuff as a good buy for your summer vacation outfits.

Born Irina: its lustrous metallic looks and its exotic cut-out detail make the Born Irina handcrafted thong a great choice for young girls who want to be noticeable. Available in four colors, black, brown, coin and raven, the Irina sandals can be matched with many clothing outfits.

Born Raffia: with the heel height of 1 inch and available in two colors, black and chocolate brown, this thong offers a relaxed, exotic look and a great level of comfort.

All these three sandal models from Born feature the same sole, in terms of shape and material, but differ in the upper details, therefore they can satisfy a wide range of preferences for women of various ages.

Comfort for my feet is very important. If shoes hurt, you get nervous, you yell at people without reason, you feel sad and depressed. It’s normal. Who can live with eternal pains in their feet?
