Metabolism relates to chemical processes within the body that convert food and other substances into energy used by the body simply to live, repair damage and neutralize toxins. &lt;br /&gt;

Metabolism is most affected by:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;nutrition&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;hydration&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;physical activity&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;When any one of these is lacking, your metabolic rate drops. That's where the connection between &lt;strong&gt;weight loss&lt;/strong&gt; and your &lt;strong&gt;metabolism&lt;/strong&gt; lies!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
It is really unfortunate that extremely lowering calories and especially calories from fat is so prevalent in so called weight loss diets because both actually bust your metabolism. You would want to boost your metabolism, not ruin it!&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
You need to boost your metabolic rate since decreased metabolism causes the body not only to burn fewer calories and less fat, but may even induce your body to store excess fat in reserve!&lt;br /&gt;

Now, while I think that it's to strong to say that drinking diet soda will make you obese, it is a fact that current obesity epidemic grew alongside diet drinks industry. Makes you think, at least...&lt;br /&gt;
