It's been a while since I did Non-Mundane Mondays!! so here are some funny videos featuring the British comedian Catherine Tate as Lauren Cooper. I discovered her much later than a lot of people, and then I started saying: "Am I Bovvered!! Look at my face! Do I look Bovvered to you!!!!"

she's super funny, she got everyone saying it, and it's hilarious. I really hope you enjoy these videos, and it cheers up your week, there was even one with Tony Blair that was absolutely wicked!! and it had him saying her catch phrase to her.

oh yeah sorry to disappoint but I didn't do anything for Halloween, well except eat so... much candy, go to the gym for 25mins, got hit on by some guy, while looking crappy with no makeup, and begrudingly did my marketing homework. oh and the sketches are from The Catherine Tate Show.

Jimmy Choo for H&M will not available for all?

so everyone has seen the ads for the H&M shoes by Jimmy Choo right? I know it's insane! For those that didn't know, the fabulously expensive shoe designer Jimmy Choo will be doing some low budget fantastically hot shoes for H&M.

These pictures were shot by Terry Richardson, and if you've been on my blog you might have noticed some of his pictures in freakin.love.fridays.

The shoes are hot, they are to be released NOV 14TH 2009 pretty exciting. well that was until I went to Atlantic Station & I found out we will not be getting them in any H&M in Georgia, and according to the sales man neither will most states except New York. He wasn't sure about internet sales or overseas buying. This pretty much sucks, he was shocked they wouldn't be getting it his store, so I wonder, why all the hype? only to limit them and make it scarce.

It's not just shoes it's also clothes

...accessories, evening clutches and larger day bags, which are studded or fringed for the jet-set lifestyle. Belts are studded and wide, or long enough for a triple wrap. Choker necklaces, bracelets, cuffs and earrings echo the shoes perfectly.

I'm really confused because on the site it says:

Money Talks to Have Before Marriage : Forewarned is Forearmed

My old sociology professor sent some us of an article from the NY times and it deals with money discussion that people should have before marriage. & I think you guys could benefit from it.

A lot of stuff affect a marriage, and money is one big key player in it, so remember forewarned is forearmed, and it's best you go in prepared.

I'm sure you have heard people repeating that "the statistics for divorce is over 50%." right??? well this excerpt makes it better:

The risk that any marriage will end in divorce is about 45 percent according to David Popenoe, a professor of sociology emeritus at Rutgers University. The chances fall to about 40 percent for first marriages and decline further for college-educated couples, people from intact families and couples who share the same religion.

see... so if you are college educated, or have the same religion, or from an intact family (whatever their definition of intact is) and it is your first marriage, you chances of divorce are lower than 40% & hopefully these 4 tips will reduce it even more :)

THE FOUR TIPS

1. ANCESTRY: Most of our money behavior is learned, so remember you are two different people entering into the marriage with different money behaviors. so.. talk about your first experiences with money?, how did your parents treat money? did one parent make the money? did they share it? hide it? use it to control the other?if divorced how did they decide what to do? The article warns that this can be highly emotional for people with divorced parents.

2. CREDIT: Whoa, this is a biggie!!!!! that a lot of people going into marriages are not aware of. GIRL, I plan to get a credit report (& ps: i heard if he pays child support it shows up on there, so... if he was lying about having kids... there you go)

Two reasons why this credit report discussion is super important: 1) A credit report is, in part, a catalog of past mistakes and overall habits - missed loan payments etc. what have you learned about money? 2) It's practical: if your credit is low, you want to fix this ASAP, so you will have the chance to get the best rate for your future home loan etc

3. CONTROL: money is control, so make sure you know who will be paying most of the bills, monthly , yearly etc, perhaps have a meeting to keep the other to speed. An important thing i saw in the article, If one person is going to be making most of the money (for all you future trophy wives and husbands) does that mean that this person will be making most of the financial decisions?

4. AFFLUENCE: What is your desired level of affluence? is it realistic with our current work paths? will it tear us apart? in the future do you want to visit Dubai? and that in the 7 star hotel I talked about?

Basically this article go in with your eyes open, just put a tiny pause on the romance, discuss this, and avoid the potential problems that a lot have run into which could have been avoided, like they say forewarned is forearmed.

omg I'm currently obsessed with watching youtube videos of this british show called "Supersize vs Superskinny." It's absolutley great!!! the only thing that majorly sucks relates to something about british copyrights, so youtube doesn't let us watch them in the US, and I only got to see the part 1's and 2's but never the ends 3, 4, 5.

so if you are outside the US check it out, and if you use a youtube downloader like I did for this 1st part, of the first season, be a dear and let me know :) but if you are in the UK etc you can enjoy the show, I think it's on channel 4, and you can watch it on youtube.

They take two women with extreme weights and eating habits, too big or too small, and put them in a house to eat what the other normally eats for a week, then... they help them go healthy (i never get to see, so I can't tell you)

My favorite is Charlotte & Heather (season 2, episode 8) it shows you how drastic 2 of their extreme feeding habits are, what it does to their body how gross it looks, one weight 87 pounds, about 5'2 very very underweight & the other is 280lbs.

I understand no one knows it all, and we as human being are constantly learning, but sometimes, you watch something really dumb, or get asked the most ignorant and racist questions, and it makes you want to smack the $*&% out someone.

People I'm not saying I'm perfect! but please try to be sensitive when asking questions about race or religion, and c'mon if you are of a certain age, you should know better!

My experience:

Most times when you want to know what someone is, I've learned it is safe to ask:
"What's your ethnicity" or "what's your nationality"
instead of What are you? or Where are you from?.... because you dont look....

Not all black people look the same,

Not all white people look the same,

Not all asian people look the same

& I've heard this so... many times from different races, and if you think so it's just cause you are not exposed to various enthnicites, & trust me, if you live with a bunch of people from different races you will see the difference.

India is in Asia, so an Indian is Asian. & yes everyone can be racist, white, black, mixed, whatever, but we should try not to be.

This post is long overdue, (insert big smile...) & it's been a while since I had personal pics up. A lot of you have noticed my new header. or via twitter or facebook.

My picture was taken by a photographer in Atlanta, called Thomas Dodd. At first I was going to do a header that was more burlesque, photoshopped & more of a magazine look. While looking for Atlanta photographer I came across Thomas Dodd & loved the way some of his images are a bit dark, surreal & from a different period. Then I merged the idea with the theme I was thinking of, and let him do his magic. His work varies, and is really different, so I wasn't exactly sure how the results would be, so along the way I got some cool pictures out of the process.

these are 2 of his styles I like, the first is my favorite!! he's work is beautiful and continues to change, and he's a really nice guy. (you should see it live in canvas!! amazing)

DAY OF PHOTOSHOOT

My makeup & hair (weave & styling) was done by Nneka, who's one of atlanta's best makeup artists, does fab hair and also happens to be my cousin.

& the design was done by me & Ola. and he put the twitter thing in it, and came of with the font.
so the finale of my header is what you see now.

Anyways after a long days work, I took my ass partying with ma girls at Eros (yeah they're my girls from Miami), then went partying with the guys at Primal.

When we were done. decided I still wanted to party so headed out to party with Shaun (not in pics) & Hugo.

ha ha we were laughing cuz I kept taking pictures and deleting them cuz I looked like crap in all of them and sweaty!! finally ones decent:

I had soo..... much fun that day & night, even though the rain tried to ruin the shoot, it came out well. I partied with ma people & had a blast. Goodbye Summer. I'll miss you!

After this whole experience I've realized that sometimes you have to be clear on what you want, especially if you have a vision in your head, and it might be different from what a creative expert might prefer, and it's hard to find a balance between getting what you want and not pissing people off & keeping everyone happy. It was a lovely experience, and these are all great people to work with, that will take your ideas into consideration, and work with you, revision after revision with patience

I've searched everywhere. I don't know who made the ones above, or what advertorial it is, but it's gorgeous. This site claims to sell them, (star latex.en.enc21) I'm super skeptical & don't know if they are legit.

the best I've found are these ones below by Atsuko Kudo & his Latex Rubber Stockings cost $132.27 (atsukokudo.com)

considering I'm not gonna prance around in only stockings for Halloween, and I'll need clothes, shoes, etc. I'd rather spend less than that for stockings. Unless I was definitely gonna wear them again.

Trip to the World's only 7 star Hotel: Burj Al Arab (in Dubai)

So in a previous post I mentioned that a lot of people I knew had visited Dubai, and some stayed at world's only 7 star hotel, which is there. & I was hoping my friends would give me permission to share it with you & she did!!! I've never been to Dubai, and um those that hotel costs about $1,592.66 to $10,889.98. oh yeah that's per night :)

yeah..... I think I'll keep hustling for Mrytle Beach, Vegas & Miami for now. Well my friend would rather be Anonymous, so lets call her A, for Ashley. so I can't put any pictures that show her or her family, but their still pretty badass pics. so it'll be like she took us on her trip (^_^)

Ashely stayed in this pretty badass suite! it was 2 floors, living room,dining room, freshly squeezed juice etc. And if you weren't staying in the hotel, but wanted to check it out, you could pay to take a tour, seriously, they have tours. & camera's couldnt be used by guests in certain public areas like the dinner place, to be courteous to other guess, if not you could order fabulous room service.

Now major cool points: u know how many of us might get candy in a nice hotel, or perhaps little bottles of free hair shampoos etc, They got IPODS!! My mum from her trip was also telling me how people have gold plated cars, like the whole car's gold plated, and these are young people! wow, crazy. oooh and they also have an Dubai also has indoor Ice place thingie, with fake snow etc, where you can snow board and gorgeous Underwater hotel!!!! where you can see the fish etc. oh yeah and as for Ashley's hotel I'm looking forward to visiting & seeing all the people checking in at night with their Louis's and dark celebrity shades at night. I love Ashley she's so.... down to earth, lol i saw her facebook pictures and didnt even know that's the hotel she stayed in, until i randomly started talking about some 7 star hotel I heard of.

Nina Ricci Badass Eight Inch Heel-less Shoes- Fall 2009

while I was randomly flipping through the September issue of Vogue, i saw these 8 inch psycho, gorgeous red heels. They were designed by Olivier Theyskens for the Nina Ricci 2009 Fall Collections. These shoes are pretty badass, heel-less and apparently no model fell during the runway show. definitely pretty creative!!

The article basically said it's not healthy for us to wear really high heels, like this shoe, and if you want to wear this shoe, you are advised to he a healthy weight (yeah feel free to mail me a picture of it lol). Vogue states this fact "the higher the heel, the more pressure it places on the ball of your foot, leading to" ... insert bad stuff, trust me. ok hammer toes (digits crumpled)(images) and metatarsalgia (pain between the ball of the foot and the toes)(link)."

Thanks for all the advice in my post. I've decided to fly off for the weekend to Myrtle Beach after my class, then drive back with the rest of the crew. i'm gonna get there 9pm Saturday, so that kinda sucks.

but for those in Atlanta, I have compiled an eclectic list of activities, that are so diverse and fun,from beer festivals, to drive in theaters and family stuff. Friday 4th September 2009

10pm- 5am: yes I said 5am (sometimes 6am). Nigerian Labor Day party hosted by Dejavu Ent. (at Queens International Nightclub in Norcross) Ladies free before midnight. (flyer) A bunch of hot naija Dj's, their events tend to be fun and packed.

10pm-3am: Labor Day Party hosted by a bunch of players from the Atlanta Falcons like Tony Gonzalez, Michael Jenkins etc (at Velvet Room)& ladies you are free till midnight (but u know that line is long as crap so get there really early, or pay your $20, if not get ready to stand in line for an hr plus ) (link)

10pm-3am: I Love the 90's, Labor day party (location: F.A.B. = French American Brasserie). Hosted by Prophecy Atl which is pretty cool, so if you miss 90's music, or wanna play dress up, or just have fun check it out. $10 if you pay in advance, $20 at the door. (tix, flyer)

9am Sat- 12am Sun: Dragon*Com (Hyatt Regency): OMG this I really really wish I was going for!!!! It's like a pre halloween party. I think you needed a ticket, but perhaps its not too late! Dragon*Con is the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the US. AKA I can dress up as Anything Hot!! (link)

Noon-6pm (starts 10am)-Chick-Fil-A Kick Off Game- Alabama vs. Virginia Tech (location: Centennial Olympic Park). There'll be a lot of fan events, give aways, food & Shaun Alexander (3.30-5pm) and Antonio Freeman (1.30-3pm) are signing autographs. (more info: link, link)

so everyone who reads my blog or follows me on twitter (@AtlBombChell) knows I'm a huge TrueBlood fan. I've watched it since the first episode of the first season & I still love it. so shout out to all my "fangbangers."

no 1: MaryAnn's crazy! & yesterday's episode, didn't help justify her case, that chic is nuts. p.s. was it just me, or was yesterday's episode a bit boring compared to other episodes, as if it's sole purpose was to amp us up for the season finale & introduce us to the queen. The queen Sophie-Anne Leclerq (played by Evan Rachel Wood) seemed... well annoying, like a bratty kid (which i heard she was in the book or something). but I hope I get to see her power, and lol at her "I insists"

no 2: Eggs!!! well this character's full name is Benedit Talley. Anyways basically Eggs is all fucked up, and being used by Maryann, who's a psycho immortal biatch, that eats organs, kills folks, makes them get drunk, filled with rage, and have tons of sex. She's really messed up but sadly she's immortal some sort of Maenad.

Anyways Eggs is so so so HOT! he was the crazy neighbour brother from desperate housewives, dated the character Melanie on CW's The game, but gosh never noticed how hot he was until True Blood. He's real name is Mehcad Brooks & his body looks like Wonderland.

but sometimes he makes silly faces like this: lol especially when he's zombie'd out by Maryann & had those blacked out/ "bug eyes."

Now Maryanne. b!tch is crazy, nuff said.

Should I Stay or Should I go to Myrtle Beach

I just Aced my accounting exam. well I hope I aced it. I was up till 5am doing financial statements for my project. 3 days ago I couldn’t use excel {don't blame me, I was a sociology student I learnt SPSS} and now I'm pretty decent.

OMG HOW DEPRESSING!! I've been planning a beach trip for the Labor Day Weekend September 5-7th. BUT i signed up for a 4 hour Saturday class, so I think I'm staying here in Atlanta! (if y'all see Myrtle Beach, SC pics next week, it means I ditched but shhh......) Or maybe I'll go to class… then DRIVE later Saturday (ugh) 6 hrs alone to South Carolina.

C'mon do you remember how much fun I had in Miami!!! ((LOOK)). I love Atlanta but it's land locked, the closest beach is Savannah, GA, like 4 hours away. I took it for granted when I lived in Lagos, there was a beach everywhere, right by the Atlantic Ocean, it seemed so normal, but now I have to plan months ahead to see the beach.

Oh yeah I'm thinking of visiting Cali sometime this year, but thanks to my classes I'm no sure when. This post was originally about the future blog posts I had in the works, but I'll tell you about that later

Now while we're on the topic of Beaches! & Travels.... Have you ever heard of the world's only 7 star hotel!!!

OMG my friend and my mum were telling me about it. They've been there it's in Dubai, my cousin also stayed there. I'll ask them if I can post pictures, and i'll tell you about it. ITS FREAKIN INSANE! lol hey for those of us who can't we might as well live vicariously through others, heard that place is crazy expensive.

I'm doing good, everything's great, well mostly. I just felt like I needed to take a break, and put stuff in perspective. 2) OMG McSteamy from Grey's Anatomy made a threesome video, ooh and his wife was in it, I saw a clean version intro, where they were acting like it was very normal (link). very odd & hollywood teeny right?

AUG 27TH EDIT: they said he later killed himself. it's all so tragic.

My Answer, I think they're almost both the same.

My logic.

(A)
some studies have shown that the richer a guy is, the more attractive females find him. crazy but that's the study. Imagine rich old guys that find hot young models to date. & beauty is in the eye of the beholder right? plus he might be nice. And if it were a woman, I'm sure there is some hot young stud out there that would want to be a Kept man! (omg do you remember the VH1 show Kept?)

Like they said on the HBO Tv show Hung, you find your greatest asset & use it (well maybe that reference is bad, since he ended up going into the "oldest profession"). go Model or something, Hustle, and look if you want a job, studies show that the prettier people tend to get hired (if you have 2 people with the same qualifications, they say the prettier person gets the job)

All i'm saying is that if all these stats were true, wouldnt every CEO be super hot. lol Im playing, that doesnt really add up, but kinda.

& You know what, according to this site seekingarrangement.com you could find a guy that will pay for you to go to school, rent etc and you don't have to do anything. Or just go try to be a playboy bunny. (lol ok... I'll behave, i'm just saying!)
