Katrina Kaif Says: I M Not Acting With Madhuri: Buzz is that Katrina Kaif’s character in director Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan is modelled on the Madhuri Dixit. The actress vehemently denies the rumour and says, “I’m playing a struggling actress who expresses every emotion over the top.""I’m quite a drama queen in the film.” Kaif

"I’m quite a drama queen in the film.” Kaifaccepted the role to add more variety to her list of assignments. “I don’t want the audience to get bored watching me play the same kind of roles. A producer saw the rushes of Tees Maar Khan and jumped out of his seat.He couldn’t believe that I’m the same actress in Raajneeti. And the credit for that goes to Farah,” elaborates Kaif.

Belly good It’s also said that a song picturised on Kaif draws heavily from La Dixit’s Dhak dhak number from Beta. “Farah treats songs in her distinct style. I look up to Madhuri as an actress. For me, her performance and screen presence are an inspiration,” Kaif explains.

The actress is also excited about her belly-dancing track, Sheela ki jawani, which Khan has added to the movie. It will be shot later next month. Kaif is currently working with Zoya Akhtar on Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara in Spain. The film will release after Tees Maar Khan opens in December.

Katrina Kaif: It is one of the vagueries of the Hindi film industry that an actress like Katrina Kaif, who is born to an Indian-Kashmiri father and a British mother, is right there at the top even though she hardly speaks Hindi. What’s more, she has also done films in Telugu and Malayalam without knowing those languages either! What helps, one supposes is that undoubtedly she is the best looker in the film industry today with a sexy body to match. And also that she has been cast correctly in most of her films as by and large her roles have been fairly undemanding requiring her to look good, wear short dresses, dance a bit and smile sweetly! Contrary to popular perception and some reportage, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are still together. Tabloids went haywire walking about how Katrina Kaif was not in London as she had informed the media, but was in fact holidaying in New York along with Ranbir Kapoor.

But then a small event – a series of press interviews by Salman Khan for his film Veer said the story. Salman was doing the interviews at Mehboob Studios close to his residence.

Salman Khan has been upset with Katrina Kaif for her agreeing to do films with Shahid Kapur.

While one is not clear about the status of their relationship as yet, because neither Katrina nor Ranbir have come clean on their relationship, it is believed that Salman is angry with Katrina for having agreed to Raj Kumar Santoshi’s script in which she is paired with Shahid Kapoor whom he does not like.

If things turn out as expected and if director Ahmed Khan comes up with an interesting script, there’s a thick chance that we might see Shahid Kapoor romancing Katrina Kaif or Deepika Padukone in Khan’s next film.

Ahmed, who is a good friend of Shahid and has directed him in the upcoming film Paathshala, admits he’s writing a script for a movie that will doubtlessly have his favourite Shahid Kapoor as the male lead.
