You’ve probably figured that you can’t paint (or caulk, or concrete) in the rain.  Things are looking better as we head into the weekend, but we are cutting it really close this year.

Lessons:  We got an instructor lined up and we will be offering swimming lessons at the Boiling Springs Pool.  The lessons page has been updated.  We will also offer some private lessons, which need to be scheduled individually with our instructor.

Is everyone ready for opening weekend?

Although we don’t have any major new construction, we are planning ahead for Summerfest, which is scheduled for June 23rd – mark your calendars now, you have been warned!  Please feel free to make suggestions below.  I’ve got ideas, but I have not started formulating the schedule yet.  What would you like to see at our Summerfest Celebration?

When you bring a guest up to the gate with you, we will give them a $5.00 discount off the general admission price.  For the shorties (kids under 46″) we will give you $2.00 off their admission.

In the evening, we can give you an additional $1.00 off the already discounted rate!

These rates are better than ‘almost’ every coupon out there right now.  I think the only better deal is the $5.00 Fridays!

• No Smoking in any buildings at any time.
• No Smoking on any of the concrete decks or structures.
• No Smoking up to approximately 10’ away from the decks.
• No Smoking within a 20’ range of the baby pool and wading pool (which is located next to the baby pool)

So, in speaking english terms of specific smoke free areas around the pool, here is what you can expect:

The entrance way to the pool and the deck immediately in front of the admissions gate and snack bar are smoke free.

The grassy ‘midway’ area between the bathrooms and our main pool are smoke free.

The baby pool area – from the blue wall of the main pool, to 20’ from the baby pool are smoke free.  At this stage, there are orange painted markings at a 20’ radius of the baby pool area.

Finally – after all the rain, two floods that were high enough to flood the pump house out and lots of rain after that – we are just about ready to get open for 2011. The water is blue, the pools are ready and we can’t wait to see all of you again!

Swimming Lessons

If you are interested in swimming lessons, we will have the schedule online within the next week. We will also have a ‘sign up’ day – where you can meet with Abby, our instructor, and ask any questions you may have.

Refillable Sports Bottles

We have our refillable sports bottles again this year – and the ones you bought last year are still good for $1 Refills, all season long. They also hold more than our fountain cups!

We changed the look of the website this year and included the ink sketch drawing that was made for some T Shirts last year. I hope you like it – let me know if you see anything missing!
