We have always had basic guidelines for smoking, but no real policy in effect. This policy communicates to all our patrons what they can expect.

We also are open to conversation on this topic, so you may talk with a manager, or email the pool – summerfest@bspool.com

• No Smoking in any buildings at any time.
• No Smoking on any of the concrete decks or structures.
• No Smoking up to approximately 10’ away from the decks.
• No Smoking within a 20’ range of the baby pool and wading pool (which is located next to the baby pool)

So, in terms of specific smoke free areas around the pool, here is what you can expect:

The entrance way to the pool and the deck immediately in front of the admissions gate and snack bar are smoke free.

The grassy ‘midway’ area between the bathrooms and our main pool are smoke free.

The baby pool area – from the blue wall of the main pool, to 20’ from the baby pool are smoke free.  At this stage, there are orange painted markings at a 20’ radius of the baby pool area.

Finally – after all the rain, two floods that were high enough to flood the pump house out and lots of rain after that – we are just about ready to get open for 2011. The water is blue, the pools are ready and we can’t wait to see all of you again!

Swimming Lessons

If you are interested in swimming lessons, we will have the schedule online within the next week. We will also have a ‘sign up’ day – where you can meet with Abby, our instructor, and ask any questions you may have.

Refillable Sports Bottles

We have our refillable sports bottles again this year – and the ones you bought last year are still good for $1 Refills, all season long. They also hold more than our fountain cups!

New Website

We changed the look of the website this year and included the ink sketch drawing that was made for some T Shirts last year. I hope you like it – let me know if you see anything missing!

We have quite a bit to offer – in terms of swimming pool and wading pool varieties, plus waterslides, plenty of soft green grass, free parking and a full service snack bar.

We do not have residency requirements – so anyone can come and visit the pool with a daily admission, value pack or season membership.  ”We don’t care where you live, just where you swim!”

In addition, we are looking into a couple other new pieces of equipment – a new deep fryer and a new oven – since our current machines are quite old and very power hungry.

This time, the gauges hit a new high (since 2000) of 12.1 ft and put water into the pump house for the second time.

Luckily, we were able to disconnect everything again and get set for the overflow.

So now, we are just counting on the odds – and we hope that another ‘over-the-pump-house’ flood will not occur again for at least another 5 to 10 years.  Crossing my fingers – and thankful that we escaped with just some more accumulated mud.
