Tom Seminar FordA big welcome to Tom Seminar Ford , who will this season 2010 be joining ‘Blue & Beyond’ as lead guitarist.

Tom lives and breathes guitar and hails from Solihull. He trained at Berkleee college of music in Boston from 2007 to 2009. Despite his age of 22 he is the first session musician who was completely familiar with our repertoire at audition. Tom is a fine jazz musician and a regular figure on the Birmingham scene. His playing influences include Ry Cooder and Steve James plus SRV.

Usually the band who plays at 8:00 pm gets a thin audience as most people arrive at 9:00pm, but Geoff Downes, Lyndon Webb and myself were delighted to play to a full beer garden. Some of the audience from the valleys certainly kept us entertained while we played. One dancer slightly the worse for wear even put ‘Blue And Beyond’ into the South Wales Argus in Monday 15th’s edition.
