How to Hide, Disable or Remove Blogger Blogspot NavBar?

At the top of most Blogger blogs you'll see a navigation bar, which enables you to flick from one blog to the next (plus additional options when you are signed in). Many bloggers have used CSS techniques to hide the navbar.

If you want to hide the navbar in your blogger blog, here's what you should do (these instructions refer to the "new" Blogger layouts templates):

Go to Template>Edit HTML in your Blogger dashboard and first back-up your template to ensure you can restore it if you make unwanted mistakes!
Next, find this line in the template: </b:skin>
Just before this line, insert the following lines of code:

visibility:hidden;
display:none
}

4.You can preview your template to see the effect in action, and then save your template to save the changes because your done

There is a slight different between this blogger trick rather than the one before. As you can see from the tutorial before about How To Hide Or Remove Blogger Navbar which basically the blogger navbar still exist and loaded by the internet browser even though you already hide it.

Blogger has got a default Navigation Bar.

This navigation bar is hidden in most of the third party templates. Instead of hiding the nav bar using CSS, we can completely remove it.

How to do To do that ?

1. Login to your Blogger account and navigate to Layout > Edit HTML

2. In the Template Code find <body> and just above that add the following Code.

3. Now Save the Template and you will see a confirmation about deleting the

Navbar Widget. Confirm the Deletion by Clicking on the Delete Widgets Button as

 it shows bellow !

4.Now your Navbar is completely removed from your Blog.

How to Get back the NavBar?

If you followed this method to remove the navbar and now want to get it back, then delete the extra code that you added. i.e remove the code from step 2, that you added into your template and Save the Template.

Easter Is the Holiest Day of the Year in Bulgaria

Bulgaria is a largely Orthodox Christian country along with the rest of the Balkans (except for Croatia)and, as such, religious devotions figure prominently in the Easter holiday. During Holy Week, some very devout Bulgarians attend church every day.

Palm Sunday Begins Holy Week

Palm Sunday is known as Tsvetnitsa or Vrubnitsa (Flower Day) and the faithful are given a dispensation and allowed to eat fish. Since palms aren't readily available, pussy willows are taken to church to be blessed. The branches are often fashioned into crowns by young girls and worn to church until they are thrown in a river, hopefully to be caught by their future husband on the other side. Many people named after flowers or plants, like Violeta, Roza, Lillia, celebrate their name day on Palm Sunday, and others called Velichka, Velina, Velika and Veichko have their name day on Easter day.

Holy or Maundy Thursday

Easter eggs are dyed on Maundy (Holy) Thursday or Holy Saturday. The first red egg dyed on Holy Thursday is a symbol of health and good fortune for the family and is set aside to be kept until next Easter.

Good Friday

Good Friday is the anniversary of the Crucifixion, and the day when a table is set up in churches representing Christ's coffin. The faithful climb underneath in the hopes of having a year full of health and fertility.

Holy Saturday

Holy Saturday services begin at 11 p.m. Families and friends attend church together, carrying their colored eggs with them. When the clock strikes midnight, they greet each other with the words Hristos vozkrese (Christ has risen). The response is Voistina vozkrese (He has risen indeed). The priest and faithful then walk around the church three times with lit candles in hand. The belief is if one has been a good Christian, his candle will not go out no matter how strong the wind might be, because he has no sins. After services are over, the all-important "egg fight" or choukane s yaitsa takes place. Opponents smash their eggs into each other with the egg left unbroken proclaimed the winner or borak. The winning egg is kept until next Easter and is a sign of good luck.

The Fun Stuff

In Bulgarian Orthodox Church tradition, the Lenten fast begins on Zagovezni, the Sunday six weeks before Easter. For the 46 days of Lent, church members abstain from all animal and fish products and byproducts, that means butter, cheese, milk, and caviar, if you can afford it!
While not a morsel is eaten before Easter Sunday, yeast-raised cakes and buns in animal shapes, and cookie rabbits and flowers are baked during Holy Week. The most important ritual bread is the braided kozunak.
On Easter Sunday, after 46 days of fast and abstinence, a feast of all the prohibited food is laid on the table, with the kozunak, symbolizing the body of Christ, taking center stage. Lamb, representing the Paschal Lamb, is always served.

Superstitions

It is believed if one hears a cuckoo midway during Lent, spring is coming. Likewise, if one has money in his pocket at the sound of the cuckoo, he will be rich in the coming year, but if one has no money or is hungry, then that will likely be how the rest of the year will play out.

Dubai ruler's firm said to have bigger debt than first thought.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Dubai Group, part of an investment company controlled by the emirate's ruler, is reportedly seeking to renegotiate the terms on $10 billion in debt — $4 billion more than previously divulged.
The disclosure highlights the serious financial challenges and problems with transparency still facing the indebted city-state despite its success in retooling the terms on $25 billion of state-linked debt.
Dubai Group has not publicly commented on the higher debt tally, which has been reported elsewhere, including by the Emirati government-owned daily The National on Tuesday.
An official familiar with the negotiations confirmed the $10 billion figure to The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the talks are private.
The total amount of debt involved includes $6 billion of bank loans, which the company has previously acknowledged, plus $4 billion owed to investors elsewhere, the official said.
Representatives for Dubai Group's parent company Dubai Holding and the Dubai government media office declined to comment.
Dubai Group first acknowledged the need to open up debt talks with lenders last year. In late January, it said it had begun negotiating with two sets of lenders separately to try to hammer out the $6 billion restructuring more efficiently.
One negotiating committee involving a division of France's Natixis SA and Dubai-based Mashreqbank covers secured creditors, which means their loans are backed by collateral.
The other is made up of partially secured and unsecured creditors. It includes the U.K.'s Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC and five regional lenders.
Dubai Group is part of a conglomerate known as Dubai Holding, which is personally controlled by the city-state's hereditary ruler, Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It owns property in the U.S. and has sizable stakes in several financial companies, including regional bank EFG-Hermes and Europe's Marfin Popular Bank.
Its most pressing debt concern is a $1.5 billion loan coming due in August.
Dubai and its many government-controlled companies are shouldering well over $100 billion in debt, though the total size of the liabilities has never been disclosed.
The emirate in March signed a final agreement with creditors to repay $25 billion worth of loans tied to state conglomerate Dubai World on revised terms over the next eight years. Acute financial problems at the company in late 2009 sent tremors through global markets.

Do you think you have a true friend in your life? A friend who’ll do anything to help you, and accept you with your positive and negative qualities.

Best friends come to know, when the other person is in trouble, merely by listening to their "Hello" over the phone. They can even understand each other's silence.

True friends don't desert each other when one is facing trouble. They would face it together and support each other.True friends are not opportunists. They don't help, because they have something to gain out of it. True friendship is marked by selflessness. Best friends support even each other, even if the whole world opposes them.

It is not easy getting true friends for the lifetime in this world of cynics and back stabbers . If you have even one true friend, consider yourself blessed!

The Roman philosopher Cicero believed that in order to have a true friendship with someone, one must have complete honesty, truth, and trust. He also thought that friends would do things for each other without expectation of repayment. If a friend is about to do something wrong, one should not compromise one's morals and let the friend commit the action--one should explain what is wrong about the action, and help one's friend understand what is right. Cicero believed that ignorance is the cause of evil.

In Russia, one typically accords very few people the status of "friend". These friendships, however, make up in intensity what they lack in number. Friends are entitled to call each other by their first names alone, and to use diminutives. A norm of polite behavior is addressing "acquaintances" by full first name plus patronymic.These could include relationships which elsewhere would be qualified as real friendships, such as workplace relationships of long standing, or neighbors with whom one shares an occasional meal or a customary drink.

In the Middle East and Central Asia, male friendships, while less restricted than in Russia, tend also to be reserved and respectable in nature. They may use nick names and diminutive forms of their first names. In countries like India, it is believed in some parts that friendship is a form of respect, not born out of fear or superiority. Friends are people who are equal in most standards, but still respect each other irrespective of their attributes or shortcomings.

How to Turn Your Facebook Profile Into a Fan Page

Facebook has recently made available a tool which will allow you to convert your personal Facebook profile into a Facebook Page (also known as a Fan Page). A quick refresher: profiles are for people. Pages are for businesses, brands, puppies, and yes…people. So, a person can have a profile and a page, but a business for example, cannot have a profile. A business must have a page.

If someone wants to friend you on Facebook, they go through your profile. This is a mutual relationship. If someone wants to connect with you, and you don’t know who they are, they can connect with you via a page by “Liking it.” This used to be called “Fanning” a page.

You can turn your profile into a page by going here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php?migrate.

This is perfect IF !

1) You originally created a profile for your business instead of a page.

2) You are a public persona, and have been using your profile as a page – to connect with fans, etc. Facebook limits you to 5000 friends.

Do NOT convert to a page if you are using Facebook to connect with family and friends only, because you will not be able to send them individual messages, or write on their walls if they only make that feature available to “friends.”

Please note :

1) All your profile pictures will be transferred, and your current Facebook friends will be moved from friends to people who “like” your page. You will not be able to send them individual messages.

2) No other content, such as information & things they may have posted, will be carried over. Please back up all your FB content before you make the switch. 3) You cannot move your friends to a current fan page. If you already have a fan page setup, they will not be added to it. You will have to setup a new fan page.

Adding a Facebook Like/Fan box to Blogger blog

After you’ve created a Facebook Page for your blog, the next thing you’ll need to do is add a Facebook Like Box to your blog. The Like Box helps you attract and gain Likes (fans) from your own blog. The Like Box also allows your readers to see their friends and other readers who already like your Facebook Page.

Adding a Like Box to your blogger blog is pretty simple:

1- Enter your Facebook Page URL
(ex. http://www.facebook.com/bloggerdashboard. )
2- Width: You can use the default width (292 pixels) or replace it by the width of your blog’s sidebar.
3- Select color scheme.
4 - Check or uncheck boxes for ‘Show Faces’, ‘Stream’, and ‘Header’.

- Go to the Facebook Like Box plugin page.
Configure your facebook Like Box.

3. Click Get Code (a dialog box will pop up) You’ll be given two codes, titled iframe and XFBML. You only need the iframe code.

4. The iframe code should look more or less like this:

5. FOR BLOGGER: Go to your Blogger Dashboard > Design > Page Elements > Add a Gadget > HTML/Javascipt
Click Save.

please note that It seems Facebook (perhaps erroneously) has the box height fixed to 62px. This allows only your Facebook page title and the Like button to appear inside the box. The faces will be hidden. To show them, you must increase the height. For example, to show two rows of faces, change the height to 280px. There are two heights in the code, make sure you change both.

Palm Sunday is the last big feast before Easter.

It is always on Sunday.
Tradition connects it with a solemn face of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem with palm branches, covered with glory as Messianic king. He entered the town on donkey and was greeted by people with "Hosanna" for having raised Lazarus previous day - Saturday. Formally welcomed in Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, he voluntarily goes step by step destined to end his earthly life.
On this day of service at Christian churches hold in their hands sanctified willow branches to replace the palm branches - though once again meet their Savior. Priests consecrate the branches and flowers, brought by believers. After worship Christians carry away the sanctified willow twigs in their homes for health and prevent disease and evil. Usually they are wrapped wreaths to be hung above the house or home over the altar.
In this day continue Lazarovi rituals and customs. On this holiday with “kumichene” of lazarki ends the cycle of maiden spring games. At dusk on the town square young men and women for the last time play lazarski dance, for the first time since Easter Fast, the round dance is concluded. People call the holiday the Palm Sunday celebration, Color Sunday, Vaya, Kuklenden. Palm Sunday is the feast of flowers and flowering. Name day celebrate all bearing the names of flowers, plants, shrubs and trees.
