    There are two occasions when the three Wu sisters took “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” pictures. The first time was in 2005, two days before our wedding, when the Wu and Wong family had dinner at Really Good Seafood in XinTianDi. The second time was in 2006 for the Wu family reunion in Taiwan.

    The interesting thing about the two pictures is that everyone did the same thing—Susan covered her eyes, Iris covered her mouth, and Nancy covered her ears. We didn’t plan it. We just did it.

We celebrated Riley’s birthday at the swimming pool/clubhouse in phase 3 of Classic Gaudii (we live in phase 4). The pool place is very nice with several pools—indoor, outdoor, kids, Jacuzzi—and tables/chairs. It’s a nice setup for a summer party!

    Here’s the video of us singing the birthday song to Riley. He was all prepared and ready to blow out the candles, but got a little bit shy!

Shanghai was supposed to be the best place to view the eclipse, but due to the overcast sky and rain, the sun peeked from behind a crack in the clouds for a mere 2 seconds with a piece “missing”. Then there was total darkness for about 6 minutes. Well, almost total darkness with the exception of lights from streets and office buildings. Not much of the sun or moon was seen from where we were. So much for the biggest anticipation that we’ll never in our lifetime get to see again.

    Nonetheless, folks in Chongqing (western China) got to see the entire eclipse. Here are some pictures taken by a blogger from Chongqing.
