Toy Review: Pink Inspire with attachments

I have to admit I wasn’t expecting much from the Pink Inspire its just so dang tiny. The massager itself is only 7 ½ inches long and a slim 1 ½ inches wide, the double prong attachment adds 2 ½ long and 1 ¼ wide, the three pronged attachment is 3 ¾ inches tall and 4 inches wide. That might sound large but this is a a wand massager its supposed to be super powerful and versatile , they are also usually the size of a toddler’s femur. I didn’t think think there was anyway that science could get all that power in this little toy. Being the woman I am – always looking for new and exciting ways to fuck myself- I powered it up low expectations be damned. Oh how the curling of toes and speaking in tongues commenced.

I’m marveling at how they got all this power into such a little package. I mean just look at it compared the Fairy Wand which is in itself a more compacted remix of the classic Hitachi vibe.

Would you be shock to believe that this little lady was not only equally powerful but the highest setting on the Pink Inspire was more intense? I didn’t think it was possible but thank the lord for the marvelous works science has done.

The Pink Inspire comes with a detachable 100/240 volt power cable which means you can actually buy another cord if this one is too short, and even buy one that adapts for car use. Doesn’t orgasms on the go sound wonderful? Other than its compact power this toy has some other impressive features. One of my major gripes with wand massagers is that they are hard to clean. This toy has a hard plastic body that is covered in a softer plastic but the head of the massager is covered with a body safe silicon cap. All of the attachments and parts that come into contact with your fluids are removable and easy to wash. I can’t believe this is the first time I’m seeing this on a toy. I would save so much on toy covers and condoms if this was the case.

There’s only one button for controlling the power and intensity of the toy, because of that you have to be mindful of how you press it. Quick pushes turn it off and on and holding the button down increases intensity. I didn’t find myself accidentally turning off and I have rather large hands for a woman. Because of its small size its a lot easier to maneuver so there was a whole world of new , targeted sensations. While I personally don’t use this toy on its highest setting I think with the three attachments everyone can find an angle and vibration setting that will get them off.

Let’s talk about these attachments- There is the nubby basic silicone cap that is for actual massaging and is the only top that is useful on the low vibration settings. The larger attachments just need more umf to get any motion. The is great for singling out the erogenous zones and delivering soft or intense vibration where you want it.

The two pronged Dual Exciter- I really liked this attachment. I found myself using it a great deal more than the other two. The sensation of having your clitoris massaged on both sides is amazing! I tried to use it for clitoral and G-spot play but it never quite panned out and even so I had the most satisfying orgasms with it. I could see this attachment working well for Perineum and nipple play, especially for those with piercings.

The Tripple Tease- Its going to tickle your butthole. Lets just get that out of the way , the prongs are curved out and I don’t believe that they are intended for penetration. I would use a finger cot with this one just in case. I’m wary of mixing vaginal and anal toys which is why this the first everything goes attachment I’ve tried. Because of its size this attachement is better used on the higher settings because it just needs more vibration to make any movement. There’s simply more of it and its denser than the other attachments.

Pro: Matches perfectly with my bedroom. This little guy packs quite a punch, comes with easy to clean attachments and has varied vibration patters and targeted vibration. Easy to clean.

Cons: Not waterproof, or rechargeable need to be plugged in to play. .

Bottom Line: The Pink Inspire is a little marvel that puts an earthquake in the palm of your hand, the Dual Exciter was like getting Daps from God. This one gets the coveted honor of being a TOY FRIEND

A close friend of mine linked me to a character study that appeared on the NYTimes.com , profiling a 52 year old sex worker in Hunts Point New York. The short profile story and video (after the jump) ,in my opinion, was a rare change of narrative that most are used to when it comes to sex work in America.

Most of the time, there’s a very narrow view of sex work that is mistakenly interchanged with human trafficking and child abuse. The narrative usually follows a “normal” white woman who is seduced or captured into sex work and lurred into drug addiction. A few times sex work will be seen as something that heartless brown and yellow children are forced into by adults they can’t take care of. The new sex work meme is the affluent and educated white women doing sex work to pay for her second masters or so she can get a book / record deal. Its very seldom that journalist trust their subjects to tell their own stories, in their own words forcing all sex work to be packaged as victimization, trafficking and child abuse. A narrative notably absent when discussing male sex workers.

A good example of this was Diane Sawyer’s 2008 Prostitution in America which features 90% Blond white women as subjects offering soundbites. The series was mostly narrated by Sawyer and if the viewer were to believe this report almost all prostitutes in this country are Blonds , pill poppers or really good at staring off into the distance while melodramatic music plays. I’m not a fan of moral plays paraded as journalism even less so when the journalist doesn’t trust her subjects not to tell the story she wants to hear.

In the NYTimes piece its refreshing to see a woman, of age , of color completely own her choice to engage in sex work. She comes off sincere and human because she is, she’s not being propped up as what she represents or a parable. She’s a woman talking about her life and how she chooses to live it.

Its hard for journalist to cover the varying levels of sex work, especially when it comes to prostitution. For the most part its illegal, its pushed as a moral issue and unearths a lot of ugly truths in our society concerning social class, race and gender. But its a journalist prime obligation to report the truth and a big part of that is striving to shed light on those speaking in their own voice about the issues that effect them, especially when they don’t reflect the image others have made for them.

It’s My 2nd Blogaversary!

It’s been a hell of a year. Sometimes it feels completely unreal how this year has been, it was like my life was a Korean drama, only with a lot more esteemed authors, facials and porn actresses. At the start of this year I was failed freelancer slumming it on my bro’s broken couch, now 356 days later I’m typing this on the same shitty laptop- but in my own apartment where I sleep on a bed every night, in a room with a door. That might sound mundane as shit to you but to me its somewhat of a miracle.

In these 52 weeks, I had so many proud moments that I got to share with you. Of course there was Banana 2. Which I still can’t believe wasn’t a hallucination , I got to shake hands and sit and talk with people that I only read about. It lead me to make a forum and completely fail at making a Blasian salon – but I was able to be visible enough to find people that were a lot better at it than me. So I saw it as a huge victory. Of course I have my regrets about that conference as well. I really wish I didn’t let prime teachable moments slip away.

Right before Banana 2 I wrote a post about the love/hate relationship I have with my big Black ass. I thought I made it clear that its pretty shitty to treat a woman like her highest achievement are her buttcheeks. You would think a bunch of social activists would have picked on that not so subtle message. NOPE, 3 people asked to take pictures…with my ASS. They came up to me not to talk about the panel I was on- but just wanted to gawk at my booty. Never mind that I was the only Black identified woman there, never mind that that post was talking about how hopeless that kind of thing makes me as a Black woman feel. Out of fear of being an “Angry Black Woman” I was all demure smiles but truth be told I out of all the times I’ve been in dingy strip parties, been grabbed. manhandled or had bills shoved where bills have no business being shoved- that moment when that woman asked me to turn around so she can take a picture with my butt is the most degrading. I regret not expressing that to her.

When I finally worked up the courage to introduce myself to Phil Yu of Angry Asian Man , at the Banana 2 after party, he gleefully showed me a picture of a woman staring pensively at a picture of my bum. Very hard to chit chat, when you’re already so nervous you want to vomit and now you feel like, “oh , great I’m just a joke to them.” When I got back to my hotel I was going to delete the post- but then someone commented on my facebook page to talk about how cathartic the post was for her. So yeah, I know for a lot of people out there I am just some dumb whore but it was up to me to show them that there’s something past the ass. If there is any goal in mind for BlasianBytch.com its to showcase a sexual being of color as a intellectual being. My butt shenanigans didn’t completely sour my Banana 2 experience, but it sure as shit made me feel more dejected than any guy pouring liquor on my tits. I should have made that clear , even if it would mean being the “debbie downer”. I could have also refrained from deep throating a dildo in front of one of my favorite authors but hey no one’s perfect.

Another bright spot for this year was when I was asked to participate in the Interracial Dating Roundtables over at Racialicous. I’ve been a loyal reader to that blog and in many ways that blog has influenced mine. It was kinda an “ah HA” moment for me. Much like Banana 2 , I learned to give people a little more credit. Being a sex worker and speaking about the adult industry has yet to hinder those I respect from reciprocating that respect. This was really drilled into my head when durring my frist streamate show a college aged guy told me that he knew me from my blog, which he discovered when he had to write a paper about my round table on Racialiscous. If you came up to me 3 years ago and told me someone would be reading MY writing in a undergrad writing course I would have laughed in your face. This is my reality , both terrifying and thrilling all that the same time.

Toy Review: Lia Teaser 1

The Lia Teaser 1 is part of a trio of vibrators each one has its one specialized function. The 1 and 2 are g-spot stimulators and the Lia Twin Teaser is a sleek sculpted take on the rabbit. The Lia Teaser 1 is about 8 inches long with about 6 or so inches of actual insertable body. The ribbed body is made out of silicone and thanks to an o-ring inside the battery compartment this toy is waterproof.

This toy has an interesting body that makes it somewhat versatile, most if not all of the vibration happens on the bulbous probe tip. So the Lia Teaser 1 can be used to tickle erogenous zones inside and out of the body. The three ridges on the body offer some clitoral stimulation but I found that to achieve the most out of it , it was better when a partner used the toy on you than with solo play.

There are 10 vibration function- steady low, medium, high and then various ebbing vibrations and patterns. Despite what the box says this is far from an extremely powerful toy. There’s only so much power 2 AA batteries can get , I have bullet vibes that on low were more powerful than the Lia Teaser 1 on high. I’m not one for super over powered vibes that feel like they are going to belt-sand off your clit, but I think for a g-spot vibe you might need a little more umpf. Of course when my lover used the toy in tandem with cunnilingus it was PERFECT. The motor is always relatively quiet compare to similar toys.

This toy is part hard plastic covered by silicone and then all silicone at the tip for a more flexible fit, which comes in handy when trying to find your G-spot or where the vibration is most effective. The controls are found on the bottom with to buttons on the front and back of the toy. The top button turns the toy on and off and the back button controls vibration. I really wish that these buttons were switched because sometimes the toy gets switched off during play when a finger slips.

Pro: Waterproof, flexible and has varied vibration patters and targeted vibration.

Cons: Vibration is not that intense, buttons placement causes accidental shut offs .

Bottom Line: The Lia Teaser 1 is great for discrete partner play and g spot stimulation not for those looking for a ultra intense vibration. This toy is an Honorable Mention

Happy Birthday to ME!

Today is my birthday. Its been quite the year for me a lot of change , adjustment , recovery , and growth. I’m truly thankful to be here another year. What would make me happiest on my birthday is if instead of giving me something my readers would make a donation to the Tomorrow’s Children Fund.

When I was 15 a dear friend passed away from stomach cancer , every birthday since then I can’t help but be angry that she’s not here or celebrating her own. Too many people take tomorrow for granted, for many young people tomorrow isn’t promised and seeing another birthday is a miracle. A donation to Tomorrow’s Children will help some kids get that miracle.

Erotica UK 2011 – Special Field Report

Today I have something very special! A guest post from one of my biggest supporters and virtual Oppas! Paul Oppa was lucky enough to attend Erotica 2011 in London, England and sent in this lovely report with the help of BBW starlet Busty Cookie , who won the UKAP Award for 2011 best series The G Team Tvx/Freddiesworld.

The US may have Exxxotica, but earlier this month Erotica 2011 took place at Olympia, London. It billed itself as the biggest adult lifestyle event in Europe, with a particular focus on dance this year. Taking place over 3 days from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th November, there were more than 300 exhibitors in addition to the dance stages.

It was my first visit to the exhibition and show, and I was immediately impressed by the openness and diversity of the performers, exhibitors and visitors. One of the bars was staffed solely by transgirls (hence its name the TGirl Bar), and one of the stages hosted the LGBT show. Minor celebrities appearing included Nancy Dell’Olio and The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE) stars James Argent and Lucy Mecklenburgh (a UK equivalent of Jersey Shore).

The exhibition was at its fullest on the Saturday afternoon. This made viewing the shows challenging (standing room only around the stages), but it was still possible to visit all the exhibitors stands. Fashion exhibitors were the largest category of stand, but there was also a range of others from toffee flavoured vodka (yummy) to a vagina inserted alarm clock (!). Sunday was less busy and made getting seats for the dance shows much easier.

Busty Cookie (who has just launched her website ) worked at a stand and also made sure she took in all the sights.

“On the Saturday afternoon, I was on the Anywhere.xxx stand, promoting the adult video website and having fun giving hands on demonstrations of Cupids Couch, an inflatable sex couch. It was great to meet so many of my fans, and I had a good but tiring time. On Sunday, I was in undercover tourist mode, shopping for new outfits, enjoying the dance shows and catching up with friends on the exhibition stands. I really enjoyed the performances on the Burlesque stage by Leah Debrincat and Hamish McCann.”
