Still there are good occurrences for women not given the right chance and equal opportunities compared to men. And if still some lady manages to excel than the expectations, thats when she is called "the man". Hopefully more Sonia Gandhi's in this world and such terms will get completely abolished. It will be a joint effort. BTW this gives me anther idea of a long pending post on a similar topic. Do catch up with that as it deals with women and their power to excel than men. But still one thing has always surprised me to see the way women are applauded for their achievements. Why shud paper and magazines have editions on Women's day telling all about the gr8 women who made a difference to our society, isn't it quite normal for any individual to excel, given an oppurtunity irrespective of the gender factor. Today Mumbai Mirror reports about Sonia Gandhi "She's the Man", so again we are being told that if you are good and have the power to make things happen it means u can be termed as a "Man" as if this word has become symbolic to power and gud work.I feel that it is high time we start considering the efforts put by us as normal and shud not be compared to any benchmarks put forward by the so called male dominant society.
