Gary Barlow Goes Solo!

Gary Barlow is to perform his first headlining solo gigs for more than a decade - for charity. The shows on December 5 and 6 will aid the Prince's Trust and the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry. The dates will be his first for 11 years, when he launched a solo career in the years after Take That had split. He said: "I hope the money raised through these concerts will make a real difference to young lives. It's really important to me that disadvantaged young people get the support they need, especially at the moment." Tickets for the concerts go on sale on Friday 25th October.

He expressed a desire for his body to be preserved so that he could be reanimated in the future and have "a second crack" at life. He said: "It's an insurance policy. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. But if it does work, I'll be happy. If it's possible - and I think it will be - why not have a second crack?

Simon Cowell has said he hopes that Adele will be able to perform during the final of the UK X Factor and that she'll make an appearance on the US version as well. An insider says: "There's no denying Adele is the biggest singer in the world right now and Simon wants her to appear on both the UK and US X Factors. He couldn't get her for the Judges' Houses stage, so he now wants her to sing with one of the contestants on the grand final in December. She is a massive fan of the show and even went to watch the US X Factor auditions earlier this year."

George's Wedding Gift to Wills & Kate.

After much hype, George Michael has unveiled his royal wedding track for Prince William and Kate Middleton - a cover of Stevie Wonder's 'You and I'. He said "The idea came to me last week... that I should perhaps kinda express my happiness at this marriage, in a way, publicly. I decided I was gonna make William and Kate a new track... by Friday, so I've had a very busy week."

Having thoroughly enjoyed recording the new song, saying it was the "best two days of work ever", he performed it live on Piers Morgan Tonight in America.

The single is available to download for free however George has asked that anybody that does download the song to give to Kate and Wills charity.

Dawn French put an end to the rumours that her and Jennifer Saunders had finished working together forever and revealed that they have just finished doing the sketch show! We couldn't help to put some fresh ideas to her like Avatar or Twilight and we think it could happen for a come back with Comic Relief!! Dawn also reveal to us that she has a bit of a phobia of technology and has never sent or received an email! She did tell us that she is a mean texter but after she called tweeting twitting we thought she was probably right to stay away from computers! Dawn has a new book out called A Tiny Bit Marvellous which is a story about a mother and daughter relationship has been promised to us by the woman herself that it's full of laughs!

Biggins!

Christopher Biggins joined us on Heart Breakfast this week. As you can imagine he was his usual cheeky self and did some...interesting animal impressions for us! Apparently he is looking to do impressions on the side but with panto season coming up he is going to have to put that idea on hold! Appearing in Aladdin in Wolverhampton Biggins told us how excited he is! We asked him about what he thought about his good friend Joan Collins appearing in Dick Whittington at the Hippodrome in Birmingham and he is gutted that he won't be able to see her but did reveal he isn't sure she is prepared for all the long hours and hard work!!

Another X Factor star joined us on Heart Breakfast this week, 2008 winner Alexandra Burke!! Her new single, Start without you, is the 4th single released by the star but we found out a hidden dream of hers is to record a song in Spanish! She told us how she used to learn Spanish in school and has always had a passion for the language and this would be a way to show off another one of her talents!!

This week we also chatted to American actor Jeff Goldblum. We all know Goldblum from the Jurassic Park movies, The Fly and Independence Day so we wanted to find out the things nobody knew about him! After a big of digging we found out that he is obsessed with ice cream! After we quizzed him further on his favourite flavours, expecting to hear something unusual and 'Hollywood', he struck us with a good old bowl of Vanilla!

Murs Factor!

The X Factor returned to our TV screens this weekend so we know the seed of the Christmas number one has already been planted! One person hoping to grab a top spot before then is last years X Factor runner up Olly Murs! He joined us on Heart Breakfast and told us how busy he has been following the X Factor with the tour, spending time in the studio and is now getting ready to release his first single 'Please don't let me go' on August 29th. He told us how he wanted to do something people wouldn't expect so an up tempo dance track was not an option. He didn't want to release a ballad so thought a nice balance of the two would be perfect and we think it's brilliant! While he was on the show he also told us about his mum interfering with his love life. Apparently she adds all his girlfriends on Facebook so she has now become a directory for all his x's...sounds to us like he is a bit of a mummy's boy so girls if you want to impress that could be your way in!

Not content with being a singer, TV/radio presenter and model it seems Myleene Klass also has another string to her bow... stealing other celeb indentities!! She was on Heart Breakfast last week and told us on a recent trip to America with John Barrowman she stopped at a diner and was mistaken for Jennifer Lopez! Rather than doing the decent thing and saying, erm, actually I'm not her, she said 'yes, it's me!' 'Would you like me to sign something for you' ?? Naturally the owner of the diner said yes!! SO somewhere in America there is a signature of 'Jenny from the block' scribed by Myleen Klass!! I'm sure JLO would do the same in her position!!

JLS are coming to Warwick!!

They are pretty much the biggest band in Britain at the moment and this week they will be in historic Warwick!

JLS will be playing a sell out at Warwick Castle this Thursday, you'll probably hear it wherever you are in the West Midlands though as close to 19, 000 people will be screaming and wailing along!! If you're going I'll see you there

It seems they are trying to take over the world at the moment too, they have just announced plans to open a new Asian restaurant in London!

Their favourite name so far is Jewels of the Lotus Sutra, which is based around the group's initials. I wasn't very impressed so I tried to think of a better one but could only manage Just Lovely Steak, Juicy Lobster Stew or a steak house called 'Meat again'?? ........ I'll get my coat!!

So, you're chatting to one of the most famous women in the world, an icon who has dominated TV, the charts and style generally for the last 20 years. What do you ask her? Well, if you're anything like us... mainly about her alleged fear of coat hangers! The gorgeous girl was on Heart Breakfast this morning and we wanted to get to the bottom of last weeks rumours that she had a 'coat hanger phobia'! It turns out it's only half true - she's not scared of them, she just doesn't like them very much! She hates the sound they make and she's generally not keen on hanging clothes up! She was keen however to dismiss the rumour that she lays all her clothes on the floor instead of putting them back in her wardrobe!

She's back with a new song 'All the Lovers' which is fab and understandably she's very proud of it, but not as proud as she is of her feet! Of all her gorgeous body parts she has a soft spot for her feet - 'considering I've done high heels for more years than I can count to they're still looking OK'!

Another revelation from the gorgeous and lovely Kylie was that she has ALL of her own songs on her ipod - about 200 in all!!! Over the past few weeks she's been listening to her new album all the time just to make sure she's happy with it! I rekon if it's good enough for Kylie - it'll do for us!

It's a hard life for Fyfe!

How does Fyfe unwind!!
It's a hard life being a pop star. Endless touring, recording and writing new songs. The stress can get to you if you don't have a way to relax and unwind. Some stars take long holidays, some get regular exercise...not Fyfe Dangerfield though, he does something much more weird!! He told us last week on Heart Breakfast that he sometimes passes the time by putting on a fake Amsterdam accent and phoning the directory enquiries people! He's made up plenty of places in Bromsgrove in the past to the annoyance of various operators!! Thanks to a TV advert he's massive at the moment with his Brilliant Billy Joel cover of 'She's always a woman to me'. He wasn't always a star though, he used to be a teacher in the Midlands. He taught music at Cranbrook College and had a reputation for being a bit unconventional in his methods! He told us it's because he had no idea what he was doing! He wasn't a trained teacher so just used to let the kids mess about and play instruments...sounds like a great lesson!

Westlife - 4 stools and 2 buses!

So the boys are back in the Midlands on 16th and 17th May with their 'Where we are' tour. A few years ago the Westlife tour bus rolled up outside Heart FM studios in Broad Street and I was lucky enough to have a guided tour! It was pretty much as you'd expect, 4 comfy beds, lounge area, Ipods, big TV's, PS3's - it actually looked like a nice place to spend weeks on the road. Well the years have seen a few changes and on this current tour they'll be crossing the UK in not one but two tour buses! On one will be Shane and Nicky with their wives and kids. On the other will be Mark and Kian. Mark told Heart breakfast that although the 'family bus' is the place to be during the day, in the evening his 'party' bus comes into it's own. The only down side I can see is that they'll also have the dogs on that bus too. In fact one night for a laugh they ended up putting the kids nappies on the dogs! He didn't go into details and to be honest I'm pleased he stopped short. I'm just presuming putting nappies on dogs is the 2010 equivalent of throwing TV's out of hotel windows!

This weekend the X Factor talent search comes to Birmingham! If you're over 16 with a half decent voice and some ID you can head down to the LG arena on Saturday and Sunday and sing your heart out in front of producers. The judges themselves won't be there at this stage but you might bump into Dermot! He called into Heart Breakfast on Friday and told us he really wants to see some bands auditioning. We've had plenty of solo stars over the last few years like Alexandra, Leona and Diana Vickers but Dermot really wants another JLS. If you fit the bill - head over to the LG arena from 8 Saturday or Sunday.
Speaking of X Factor stars Dermot told us he loved the twins from last year, but they were a little weird! He runs a fish restaurant down south and he brought some prawns in for everyone, when Jedward caught signt of the prawns complete with heads they were a little freaked out and had no idea what to do with them!
