5 minute shave...
It take me five solid minutes to shave with this thing because the main blades do such a poor job on the neck area that I have to use the trimmer on this "tough" spot. I'd probably quit using this and go back to a regular razor, but I get awful razor burn on my neck from using a straight razor that I don't get nearly as bad with this item. I've been using this thing for eight months.

Really don't like it...
I was honestly wanting to like this, after all the great reviews. However, it's been over 6 months and I really don't like it. It takes forever to shave every morning. I have to go over spots on my neck 4-5 times different ways to get a clean shave. Once I've finally gotten a clean shave, it's cut my skin so it bleeds as bad as if I used a blade. I kept thinking that I wasn't using it right, but I've tried every direction and always end up the same. I used a cheap Norelco in the past, and think I'm going back. While it may not be quite as close as a shave, at least it doesn't take 10 minutes and need a styptic pencil to stop the bleeding. I've never been a blade fan, but have even tried the Gilette fusion and I am quicker but more bleeding with this. I did give 2 stars intead of 1 because it eventually does give a close shave and the charge lasts a long time. The final straw was this morning when I accidentally dropped it in the sink, and now that pivot won't work without making a horrible squealing noise.

Ok...so I received this item yesterday and it's my first vibrator. My husband and I tried it last night and it was unlike anything I have ever felt before. I received this product today in the mail and it is amazing!!! I was able to experience multiple orgasms and even female ejaculation which, until today, I thought was a myth. Exactly as I hoped it would be...
I received my new Asus EEE1000HE last week and so far am very pleased.
It is almost as fast as my larger Lenovo T42 laptop, but has even more hard drive memory. I will be taking this with on long distance motorcycle trips with very little room to pack a bigger laptop,and will now be able to do a little work when I get free time. The battery life is exceptionally good even with the bluetooth and the webcam turned on. The keyboard is a comfortable size and easy to operate, though the trackpad buttons are a little stiff.
If you are looking for a good portable computer, I recommend the Asus EEE 1000HE.
I will be installing a 2 gig ram, soon, but it works well as it came out of the box.

ASUS EeePC...
I bought the EeePC to use when traveling. I got tired of having to go to the cities' library and wait to use their machines. This PC rocks!!!! It is so easy to use. I especially like how fast it responds. Never having used a netbook before I'm still getting used to the light touch. I would highly recommend ASUS to anyone who wants a light, fast machine that doesn't take a 2 pound manual to learn to use.

Best Netbook out there!...
After reading all the good things about the Netbook, I had to get it.
First, it is lightweight and portable. Some sacrafices are made for this size. There is no DVD drive or number pad on this unit. If you need those items, go for a much larger Notebook. That being said, this Netbook is great! Yes, I did install the 2 GB of 667Mhz memory. That was one easy upgrade. Next, I wanted to see how it worked on a newer version of Windows so I installed Windows 7 on the second partition "D" drive. The 160 GB hard drive is already split in two so I figured that was perfect for my test. The best thing is, you don't need an external DVD drive to install the OS. You just download Magic Disc,
( http://www.magiciso.com/index.htm ) and it will make a virtual DVD drive for you. Then mount the iso on the virtual DVD drive and install! Very easy. I haven't tried to mount a DVD movie on there yet but I think it will work. Just need an 8GB Flash drive to transfer it.
Anyway, I love the keyboard and controls. Not worried about fingerprints on the outside. This Netbook is a "Take anywhere you go" unit that is very fast and portable. Well worth every dollar. Runs Windows XP and Windows 7 RC like a charm with no problems. One thing to do is if you run it without an ac adaptor, the backlight will go down and make it hard to see. Just press fn plus F6 and it will lighten up as you wish. I highly recomend this unit.

Delonghi EC 155 Expresso Maker
For $90 this is a pretty good expresso maker. It is the lowest priced pump (as opposed to steam) machine I could find. My only complaint is the milk steamer nozzle which is really inconvenient.

Disappointed Customer...
I too am somewhat disappointed with my DeLonghi EC155. I previously owned a older model Krups and was satisfied with that. It always worked, even though I didn't know how to use it properly. And even though it didn't produce a proper crema, it always tasted good. I didn't even know you were supposed to clean the filter...duh.

In any case, my daughter wanted me to upgrade to a 'true' espresso maker so bought me the DeLonghi after doing research online and reading the reviews. Needless-to-say, it worked just great in the beginning. I stopped using the frother as it was a hassle to clean and I had to find a short frothing pot because of issues mentioned by other users. I just heat the milk in the microwave and use an 'Aerolater', which works just wonderful and it is easy to clean.

After about 2 months I started having problems with the espresso coming out in drips and water running over the top of the filter holder. I cleaned everything and it worked OK for a while, then started up again. I thought the machine was defective, but then decided perhaps the coffee beans were ground too fine. I even started grinding the beans myself to ensure it was an 'espresso' grind. It worked for a while, but would plug up again. I have had to clean the filters and boiler filter quite a number of times. I have also descaled it as recommended. You definitely have to use a needle to clean the tiny holes. I do use filtered water, so that is not the problem.

Bottom line, when the machine is working, the espresso is great. If you use it only occasionally, you should be OK. But if you like to make cappuccino's or latte's every day like me, it is a very temperamental machine and needs cleaning often.

UPDATE: Once again (after thorough cleaning) it just drips and takes about 8 minutes to get the eqivalent of 2 espressos with little to no crema. I don't know what to do at this point, other than trying to find an older Krups espresso maker. This DeLonghi is just too temperamental and frustrating. Hope this helps.

Amazing!...
I bought this so I didn't have to go to the local (might I say expensive) coffee house, anymore. I am able to recreate my favorite coffee drinks. It is fantastic, and it will pay for itself in no time.

How expensive is too expensive?...
I have always been a fan of electric toothbrushes, they have always given me a good excuse to stop exercising my hand and actually get ready in the morning. The last oral-b professional care toothbrush failed on me after a few years, and since then I was a bit unwilling to fork out money for a new one. It was just as well as during my hiatus, I went on and had braces fitted on my teeth. So it was back to manual for about two years. Orthodontic electric brush heads were not widely available (and more importantly costly) and I have hated waking up every single day I had braces on.

Having braces fitted was never cheap to start with. So if one could justify the cost paying for the pain to align teeth together, it made me realize that an electric toothbrush was a very small and insignificant cost when compared, and that I should make sure my original investment was, at the very least, worth the pain in the first place. So in a heartbeat, I went back to using an electric toothbrush again. Oral-B Triumph it was.

It was certainly the right decision as I was instantly taken back to the point in time when I remembered why I used an electric toothbrush in the first place. My teeth felt cleaner when compared to using a manual brush.
But does it clean your teeth any better? Yes and no depending on wether you properly use your manual toothbrush. The 2-minute timer felt too short as I have been disciplined and trained to brush properly with a manual and compounded with the fact I had braces on which required extra care. I can't help but feel I am cheating as it only took 2-minutes to get a result that would have otherwise taken longer with manual toothbrush. That in itself is worth it. But not all electric toothbrushes are created equal, with the Triumph's 8,800 oscillations and 40,000 pulsations per minute is one of the best I have used. It is also a rotation oscillation brush which numerous studies that seem to indicate helps reduce plaque and gum disease. Insist on that. I also like how the unit is able to automatically distinguish different brush modes when switching between the everyday floss action and polishing brush head.

The power adaptor is a dual voltage adaptor which is great for travelers. The base charger is also compact and light weight. The travel case which holds two brush heads is also handy to keep things tidy. I found the Smart Guide to be entirely a gimmick - its now stored away in the box as I have no use or time to look into the display. Certainly not worth polluting the environment with keeping the unit running.

The effectiveness of electric toothbrushes versus manual toothbrushes have and will continue to be the subject of debate, what really matters is your choice of the two is insignificant if you have the wrong brushing technique to begin with - and that is one thing everyone can agree on. Others have a different reason altogether - for those who have rheumatoid arthritis. For me, the idea that I know I will get an effective clean in just 2 minutes rather than spending more time to achieve the same result was reason enough.

Good, but not perfect...
I hadn't really thought about buying an electric toothbrush until my last dentist visit, where the person cleaning my teeth pointed out that my gums were receding a bit. I noticed they had several of the Triumph 9900 kits available for sale, so I knew the Triumph was recommended by my dentist. (Of course, I also knew that Amazon would stomp him on price.)

That day, I ordered this from Amazon, and we've been using it for just over a month.

For the first few days, my teeth were unusually sensitive, and my gums hurt. I have sensitive teeth to begin with, and wasn't using the sensitive setting regularly, and my point really is that using the normal head with the normal setting is actually quite tolerable if you have sensitive teeth. After the first few days, I didn't notice any pain or sensitivity, so the adjustment period was pretty decent.

I've noticed in the past month that my teeth feel cleaner, and my gums definitely look healthier than they had before I started using the Triumph. And while I haven't given up flossing, it does a great job of knocking out bits of food in between your teeth.

What I've also noticed though, is that I don't really use the display at all. I'd stare at it religiously when I first started using the Triumph, but the toothbrush pauses in between 30 second intervals, so it isn't really rocket science to remember that at the first pause, you go from top right to bottom right, bottom right to bottom left at the next pause, and bottom left to top left at the last pause. I also learned quickly how hard "too hard" was with the display, so anymore, it's just a nice looking clock that will remind me when it's time to buy new heads.

One notable feature on the display: the "too hard" indicator has an LED behind the LCD (so it actually lights up red). I thought this was especially helpful when I first started using this.

Why only four stars? Well, as I had said before, the display is really only useful for a few days, and then once it becomes time to replace the head. The second reason, is how disappointed I am in the overall design of this toothbrush....

When I took it out of the box, one of the first things I noticed was that the battery appeared to be replaceable. I thought this was great, since I've owned many other "bathroom mirror" items (razors, beard trimmers, etc.) that were supposed to be tossed out when they couldn't be recharged anymore.

Sadly, the manual tells a different tale. Attempting to remove the battery literally destroys the toothbrush. The battery door is there so you can dispose of the toothbrush without contaminating landfills with the battery (which is good, no question about that). But once you take the battery out, the toothbrush is permanently disabled by design. Oral B says that this indicates "the end of the device's useful life". I say it's planned obsolescence at its worst.

A couple final notes: the compartment on the base for holding toothbrush heads is nice if there are only two people, but they're spaced closely together for four brush heads. So on one hand, you have this nice protective case blocking bathroom nasties from getting on your toothbrush, and trying to get it in or out of its case will basically force you to come in to bump someone else's brush head. Also, you have to be meticulous about rinsing the head, or else you wind up with a ring of old toothpaste at the bottom of the holder, which is difficult to clean.

Finally, check out Amazon's Subscribe and Save for replacement brush heads. I did some comparison shopping at WalMart, Walgreen's, and CVS, and Subscribe and Save is a pretty great deal compared to the prices I was seeing in stores.
