Yesterday I yanked it from the roots.  Now, the crazy thing is if you read on the internet and hear others talk, it’s worst than pulling teeth to cancel.  At the very least they have been offering everyone three months free to “get by”, so you really never can get them to cancel your service.

Well this is how it went down for me.

I called and spoke to someone who didn’t speak English.  Told her I wanted to cancel because I didn’t use it anymore.  She brought up my account info and said she had to transfer me….
I figured …”oh great, here we go”.

Then I get transferred to a guy that sounded like he was in a US call center.  He asked me the same questions as the first lady and again i told him.….”wanted to cancel…bla bla bla…”   He tells me give me one minute….then told me he just sent the cancelation signal or some flux capacitor command.  And then said good bye. 

TOTAL TIME ON PHONE: 3 minutes 42seconds.

Pretty sure that may be a new record for ANYONE canceling XM RADIO.   Did the sky fall yesterday… did hell freeze….  what just happened.  Today It was confirmed.  I jumped in my car and sure enough no XM playing.

If you did get it, it downloads, then expands a TON of files.  If you want burn this to a DVD then you are going to need to do the following:

First download  oscdimg.zip.

THEN run this crazy command. 

This command will make an ISO for you.  Of course, replace the path with the correct path to the etfsboot.com and the directory where the files sit.

Oscdimg.exe –u2 –b”C:\Users\PUTUSERNAMEHERE\Desktop\expandedSetup\boot\etfsboot.com” –h “C:\Users\PUTUSERNAMEHERE\Desktop\expandedSetup” C:\WIN7.ISO

TLC, NBC…please please stop reporting on this divorce.  Quit the show.  Quit paying Kate money to extort her children.  If you want the children to grow up like normal kids, sell your multi million dollar house and turn off the cameras.

In divorce the “man is always wrong”.  I’m not sure why this happens, but for sure all we are seeing is one side of the story, because every time I hear Kate say “I can’t pay my bills”, I want to punch her in the nose.

Anyways I’ll share more specs when I get time to run some benchmarks.

Currently I’m using two websites that give you cash back for making purchases online.  It really works too.  It’s simple.  Go to the website, and click a link.  Serious, that’s all you have to do.  The links take you to pretty much any store, including stores like Kohls, Victoria’s secret, tire rack, Newegg, buy.com, Amazon.com,dell, HP, and many many more.

Mr. Rebates  and Bing Cash Back  

Bing cash back had a better deal going with 6%, so I used them on this computer purchase last night.

The catch is you have to wait about 60 days after a purchase and you need to have at least $5 in rebates before they send you a check.

The service forward hotmail accounts into my one Gmail account.

Today I turned on POP3.  I have about 10,000 emails to move between two accounts.  Gmail only checks so often and only moves 200 messages at a time.  This will be a long process of moving mail.  Oh well.  I decided this time to purge the hotmail account.  I’m not leaving any messages on the server anymore.  I haven’t decided if I like that idea or not yet, but I guess it’s time to get rid of one email account anyways.  As soon as the messages are brought over, I’ll be able to monitor better how I was using the accounts and which ones are just stupid spam accounts that I don’t need anymore.

Win 7 is amazing.  Not more to say about it.  It runs fast and it works. 

• A feature to love is that windows search 4 will now natively search your WHS.  Because WHS uses the same Index System, it will return the Index to Win7 and instantly give you feed back.  (they claim 26% increase in searching now)
• Another feature, is the ability to have all your files to show up in Windows 7 Library.  This is pretty cool.  No more mapping drives to folders on WHS.
• Some of the best features will be the Media Center Integration…(see link for those details)

You can disable the mandatory instructions. Hold down 1 for your voicemail, (then press * if you have messages to go back out to the main menu).     From there:

• press 3 – personal options
• press 2 – greeting
• press 1 – main greeting
• press 3 – add or remove caller instructions
• press 2 – do not play instructions

I don’t think anyone in America will know 100% what happened between them.  My guess about the breakdown is because she didn’t pay any attention to John anymore and only to the kids, her book, ect.  I feel at this point, the show should end.  There is no point following a divorced couple.  We know they had 6 kids and now that the family is millionaires, I don’t think we need to follow the “hardships” of a family “trying to make it”

Kate, please quit using your kids a your crutch.  We know divorce sucks and its not fun for the kids, but seriously….

I will post more in the future and where the project is located in GITHub.  The project will be done in PHP and there is much work to be done yet.  I will need help from the database to the fluid interface.

Also all the tech blog stuff will soon be leaving this website.  There is a new website in the works, with a new commenting system also.  You will be required to log in to leave comments and you should be able to log in with any login you own.  This will move the professional tech stuff away from this personal blog.  That way all you Facebook (Stalkerbook) people won’t get bored reading it.

Google maps lets you send an address to your GPS if its plugged in with the USB cable.  Well, Microsoft has one upped Google.  You can now send wirelessly.  I’ve actually been looking for this feature for a long time.  Now you can send from Bing maps (live maps) (Microsoft maps) the location wirelessly via your FM MSN Direct receiver.

I think i may have to upgrade my GPS with this feature.  The service cost is $100 for life.  I think it’s worth it if you plan on using a GPS (and are a total geek) that’s not on your phone.  Most new GPS devices are all starting to support getting FM traffic updates.

The only problem.  The service is only available in select areas.

It’s a summer action movie so take it how you want it.  It has the following:

• Action
• Fire explosions
• LOTS of robots Transforming
• cool special effects
• comedy
• sex appeal
• Better music than the first

It doesn’t have:

• a good plot
• enough Megan Fox
• award winning acting

So overall, it’s a good summer movie.  I actually felt that it was better than the first, because you didn’t need to build any introduction to main characters.  But on the other hand, I didn’t feel that it built up the characters any more when they could have…but hey…who cares Megan Fox’s butt is hanging out.

So compared to the first it “has more mega pixels”.
