@ Kelly. Thank you for your thoughtful comment…I stand by my statement that Appalachia Ken supports the overthrow. AK rejects Mililani’s thesis and enjoins the argument with a set of other events which he cites as dribble that overthrew the queen. To believe this nonsense you would have to support its contention.
Which he never explains or defends one way or another.
Mililani explained and defended her position. Ken did not.

This is another unfortunate story but I wouldn’t count on the cops for anything on the Big Island. I’m pretty sure theres only like 7 cops for whole Puna district and it doesn’t surprise me that they’d follow the family… For protection though? I don’t know. I was hit by a drunk driver and the cops didn’t do shit for me but test the sober driver of my vehicle and call it a day. I’m a quadriplegic in a wheelchair now but thanks to the amazing flight nurses and doctors I’m still alive. The fact is Hawaii is not a paradise for everyone. The local people territorial and are overall kind of racist towards white people. We can only hope for the best in this situation. My sincere condolences.

Kalapana is NOT restricted or condemned land. Please don’t try to be ignorant. The cops watch them tight????? And they are not “shacks” there as you say. People are building nice houses and trying to bring back a very special community. You obviously have no idea about the Big Island and probably don’t even live here so please go away.

Killing people is wrong, except in self defense when you are in fear of your losing your life.

None of the reasons cited are justifications. Let’s see you mentioned, race, trespassing over lava somewhere, buying lava somewhere, some county condemned a house or land.
