The title of tonight’s episode of Survivor 42 says it all as we kick off tonight’s special 3-hour season finale. Romeo, Mike, Maryanne, Lindsay, and Jonathan have outwitted, outplayed, and outlasted the rest, but only one can go on to win Survivor 2022. Who will it be? There is still plenty of game left to play and by the end of tonight’s episode of Survivor, we will know which castaway will be $1 million richer and earn the title Sole Survivor. We started tonight’s episode of Survivor off with the Final Five being sent to a brand new beach for their final days on the island. When they get to their new beach, they find nothing. They find out that they have to start all over again. Lindsay starts questioning Jonathan on whether or not Omar was the plan the whole time. Jonathan tells her that it was a plan for a while and she questions why he didn’t tell her that. He questions why she tried to vote him out.

After this conversation, Romeo tells the group that he has an idol and plans to use it next Tribal Council. Romeo tells us that he made a fake idol and everyone seems to think that he’s telling the truth. Mike still has an idol and Maryanne tells Lindsay that Mike said to her that he would use it for her if she needed it. Lindsay tells Maryanne that Mike made the same promise to her too. After, Lindsay talks to Mike, and Mike reassures her that he will not leave her hanging.

Back at camp, the Final Five gets tree mail that tells them that there is an advantage for the Final Five Immunity Challenge. They are then handed another envelope that has a riddle on it that will give them a clue as to where the advantage is. They can not look for the advantage until they have the clue written down on their parchment.

Lindsay is the first one to get run off, but everyone else takes a little while longer to solve it. Maryanne isn’t worried about this because she would like to see Lindsay get the advantage because she would like to go to the end with her. After running around the island for over 40 minutes, Lindsay finally finds the advantage while the others are still trying to solve their puzzle. Lindsay heads back to the camp and tells everyone that she found the advantage, but it doesn’t give any details as to what it could be.

It is time for the Final Five Immunity Challenge! They will race through a series of obstacles collecting puzzle pieces along the way and will then have to put the puzzle together. The first to finish tonight will get pasta with meat sauce, garlic bread, salad, cake, and red wine and the others will go to Tribal Council. Lindsay is then told that for her advantage, everyone will have to untie six knots at every station, but Lindsay will only have to untie one.

During the challenge, all the castaways stayed pretty close to each other. Lindsay didn’t take the lead until there was only one bag left for her. Jonathan was able to catch up to her after Lindsay dropped on one of the obstacles. Jonathan is the first to start his puzzle, Lindsay is right behind him, and Mike is right behind her. Maryanne and Romeo are still working on getting their last puzzle pieces. Maryanne gets to start her puzzle fourth and Romeo starts his puzzle shortly after. All five castaways are working on their puzzle, but Jonathan and Lindsay have a huge lead. Mike takes the lead for a split second, but Lindsay quickly takes it back. It goes back and forth between Mike and Linsday for a little while, but Mike takes the lead again.

After a lot of back and forth between Mike and Lindsay throughout the challenge, Mike pulls out the win! Mike is told that he can bring one person to have pasta with him and he chooses to bring Jonathan with him.

After their meal, Mike goes back to camp. Lindsay starts to try and convince Mike that he should use his idol on her and not Maryanne. Mike does admit to her that he promised Maryanne. After his conversation with Lindsay, he talks to Maryanne. He wonders if they can beat Lindsay. Romeo tells Maryanne that he doesn’t think they can beat Lindsay if she is in the Final Three. Maryanne agrees that she has made some moves that the Jury might appreciate more than what they have done.

It is time for Tribal Council! It is time for the vote! Jeff tells everyone that if they have an idol or an advantage to use, now is the time to do so. Mike uses his Idol on Maryanne. Maryanne decides not to use her Idol on Lindsay. Here are the votes:

With three votes, Lindsay will become the next member of our Survivor 42 Jury.

It is time for the FINAL Immunity Challenge! It is a Survivor Classic. For this challenge, the castaways will have one hand tied behind their back, they will have to drop a ball down a shoot and catch it at the bottom. At regular intervals, they will have to add another ball. If at any point they drop their ball, they will be eliminated. The last person standing will win Immunity and pick one castaway to go to Final Three with them and the other two castaways will go head to head in a fire-making challenge.

Mike is out early in the game after taking his eye off his ball for a split second. They are told to add a second ball into their shoot. Maryanne is the second castaway to drop leaving Jonathan and Romeo to battle it out. They drop the third ball and then the fourth ball. Right as Jonathan dropped his fourth ball into the shoot, a ball dropped out of the bottom of one of his tracks. That means Romeo has won the Final Immunity Challenge of the season!

After the Immunity Challenge, Jonathan starts to practice making fire. Mike asks Jonathan to talk. During their talk, Mike is trying to get into Jonathan’s head. However, that’s not going to work for Jonathan. Mike is panicking and after his talk with Jonathan, he goes to practice making fire too. Maryanne decides it might be a good idea for her to also practice just in case Romeo decides to blindside her and make her go into the fire-making challenge.

It is time for the Tribal Council! Mike knows that he is going to make a fire tonight and has a feeling it’s going to be him against Jonathan in the fire-making challenge. Romeo tells Jeff that he has decided to bring Maryanne with him into the F3 which means that Mike’s gut was right and he will be making fire with Jonathan.

It’s time to start the fire-making challenge! Jonathan gets his sparks going, but can’t sustain a flame. Mike gets a flame first and starts building his teepee around it. Jonathan gets a flame and starts adding more coconut husk. Mike’s flame starts hitting his rope while Jonathan is starting to build around his. Jonathan’s building something a little more structured than Mike’s but will it help him get a higher flame? Unfortunately, it does not and Mike’s flame burns through his rope first and has made it to the Final Three. Jonathan is clearly disappointed, but he says that his time has come. Mike is grateful that he won and it’s more rewarding to him knowing that he won against someone who is the best firestarter at camp.

After taking a look at the final three back at camp for their final day on the island, it’s time to head back to Tribal Council where the final three will answer questions from the jury. I can never keep up with the questions and answer enough to be able to type them all out, however, based on what I’m gathering, the jury is very upset with Romeo and Mike. Both of them claimed to play with integrity but lied and were both caught out in their lies. Romeo admitted to his lies which Hai respected. When everyone started going at Mike for his lies, Drea actually told everyone that she would like everyone to take a step back. She says that they all lied in this game and then says to Mike that she actually thought that his social game was on point.

Omar then asks Maryanne about her social game and when she realized her social game was messy and what the turning point for her was. She talks about a social move that she made in the game and she talks about when she took Omar out but Jonathan tells her that it wasn’t even her idea. She says that they were the first to mention it, but she was already thinking about it.

It is time for the final vote of the season to take place! After each jury member goes up to write down the name of the castaway they believe deserves to win, Jeff goes and grabs the votes. He comes back and tells them that there is no such thing as an easy season of Survivor and there is one more twist! He tells them that in Survivor 41, they read the votes off in the jungle of Fiji and they are going to do the same thing tonight! Everyone is shocked and Jeff starts reading the votes:

• Maryanne (that’s enough to name Maryanne the winner!)

After Jeff names Maryanne the winner, Jeff tells them that they are going to do the after-show right here too! He calls for food and champagne for everyone. When we came back from the commercial, Jeff confirmed that the other two votes were also for Maryanne (which I added to the votes above). Most of the jury said that they were leaning towards voting for Mike to win, but Maryanne swayed them with her answers. Mike is asked how he feels about hearing that. Mike says that he is fine with it and adds that after hearing Maryanne’s story tonight, he believes that she earned this.

Jeff asks Romeo how he feels about not getting any votes after making it this far. He tells Jeff that he is leaving here with so much more than winning. He is leaving here with the ability to be who he is when he leaves here without having to hide it anymore.

We start tonight’s episode of Survivor off with Omar and Mike talking back at camp about everything that happened at Tribal Council. Mike also asked Omar for his idol back and Omar handed it over. Mike tells us that he knows that he knows that Omar is coming after him in the final because he is too likable. That means that he needs to take Omar out first.

Mike goes to Maryanne and starts to convince her that Omar needs to go. She tells Mike that she has been in an alliance with Omar since Day 1. Mike tells her that he’s been in an alliance with Omar since merge so he is clearly playing both sides. While talking to Mike, Maryanne divulges to Mike that she has an extra vote. She also tells us that if she doesn’t make this move, then she won’t win and that’s terrifying to her.

Maryanne tells Omar, Lindsay, and Romeo that Mike is paranoid and is most likely going to play his idol at the next Tribal Council. They talk about if that’s the case, then Jonathan can’t win the next challenge. Mike talks to Jonathan and starts to drive a wedge between Jonathan, Omar, and Lindsay. Jonathan tells us that the Taku four made it to Final Six and that’s as far as they go together. It’s time for them to break up.

It’s time for today’s Reward Challenge. They will unravel themselves, walk a balance beam where they will find a key that unlocks a box of puzzle pieces, and put the puzzle together. The winner will be able to pick between getting chicken and vegetables or cake and cookies. Jonathan is in the lead, Linsday is right behind him, and Omar, Romeo, Mike, and Maryanne all join not too long after. Omar takes the lead, but Maryanne isn’t far behind him. In the end, Omar ends up pulling out the win.

Jeff tells Omar that he can choose if he wants grilled chicken and veggies and two people to go along or cookies and cake and three people to go along. Omar chooses to go with cookies and cake and take three people with him. He takes Romeo, Maryanne, and Mike to go with him. Jonathan and Lindsay head back to camp with nothing.

After the cake and cookies, Mike and Lindsay have a conversation and he finds out that Lindsay has an idol that she has to use at the next Tribal Council. He goes to Jonathan and tells him that anyone but Lindsay can win the Immunity Challenge. He then tells Maryanne about this idol and Maryanne is surprised by this because she and Lindsay are in an alliance and she had no idea that Lindsay had this amulet. Now Maryanne is worried about her relationship with Lindsay.

It is time for tonight’s Immunity Challenge! In this challenge, the castaways will have to race over a series of obstacles and over a bridge made of pieces that the castaways will use to make steps in the next part of the challenge. After they complete their staircase, they will go up to the platform where there is a table maze for them. They will have to land two balls into the maze and the castaway that does this the fastest will win immunity and a guaranteed spot in the Final Five!

When the castaways get to the maze, it comes down to Jonathan and Lindsay, but Lindsay’s ball falls, and then so does Jonathan. They manage to get back to about even. In the end, Jonathan’s ball drops again and Linsday pulls off the win! That means that she can use her amulet on someone else tonight if she chooses.

There is a lot of talk about everyone voting Jonathan out, but Maryanne thinks that they can get Omar out with her two votes and Jonathan and Mike’s votes. Mike tells her that they should play it safe and get Romeo out, but Maryanne really thinks that she can get Romeo to vote for Omar instead of Mike. This will give her three votes against Omar, two votes against Romeo, and two votes against Jonathan at Tribal Council.

It is time for Tribal Council! After the castaways vote, Jeff goes to tally them. He tells everyone that if they have a hidden immunity idol or an advantage to play, now is the time to do so. No one plays anything. Here are the votes:

• Jonathan – Omar
• Romeo – Jonathan
• Jonathan – Lindsay
• Romeo – Mike
• Omar – Romeo
• Omar – Maryanne
• Omar – Maryanne

Right before the last vote was read, Omar put his hand on Maryanne’s shoulder and said, “you did it?” and Maryanne said, “I did.” Everyone in the room was shocked, but Maryanne pulled off her plan to get Omar out this week on Survivor 42!

We started tonight’s episode off with Lindsay and Drea talking about their amulets and Lindsay realizes that because Hai is gone, their amulets are not Steal-A-Votes. The next day, everyone is gathering around and talking about Romeo and how he is always the first one to eat, but never helps cook anything.

Mike and Omar go to get water and Mike tells Omar that he is worried about Drea and her advantages. Drea realizes that they are gone a little too long and starts yelling for them to come back with the water. When they get back, Omar tells Drea about how Mike is feeling like he is playing the best game after pulling off a big move last week.

Throughout the episode, people started talking about how Jonathan is starting to unravel. He’s hungry, cranky, and taking it out on a lot of people and the others are starting to talk about trying to get him out this week.

Before the Immunity Challenge, we find out that tonight will be the Do or Die challenge. The first person out during tonight’s challenge they have to play Do or Die. They can choose not to play in the challenge at all. Tonight they will be balancing on a narrow perch while holding onto a handle behind their head. If they slip off, they are eliminated. Jeff then tells them about Survivor Do or Die and tells them that they can choose not to play at all.

Jonathan and Lindsay are the only ones that have decided to play in the challenge. That means that one of them will have their game left up to a chance. Everyone else goes and takes a seat on the sideline while Jonathan and Lindsay get ready for their one-on-one competition. One of them will be completely safe, the other could be sent home with the Do or Die!

After about 15 minutes, Lindsay drops off her perch and Jonathan wins Immunity. Lindsay might not be. If she wins, she will be safe and a vote will take place. However, if she loses she will be the next member of the jury. If Lindsay goes home tonight, Drea’s amulet turns into an idol. Mike talks to Drea about how he wants Romeo out, but then Mike tells Lindsay that he wants Drea out. Mike continues to make his rounds to the others and tells Jonathan who then talks to Maryanne. They all agree that Drea needs to be the one that goes if Lindsay is safe tonight.

Omar is torn and he goes to talk to Drea. Omar mentions that he thinks that they should vote Mike out soon. Omar says he is worried about Mike’s idol though and Drea tells him about her Knowledge is Power Advantage and tells Omar that she can take Mike’s idol. That opens up the ability to blindside Mike. Omar goes to talk to Lindsay and they realize that if they tell Mike about Drea’s power and talk him into giving one of them his idol, they could still get Drea out this week and could still keep Mike’s idol.

It’s time for Tribal Council! After some chatting about the atmosphere back at camp after the Immunity Challenge. Drea points out that she was noticing all whispering and stuff at camp. Then it is time for Lindsay to pick her box for the Do or Die. She chooses the middlebox and Jeff tells her he is going to open one of the boxes. He opens one and it’s a skull which means that there is one skull and one flame left. She is then told that she can switch her box if she chooses to. However, she sticks with her first choice and it pays off! She gets the box with the flame which means she is safe tonight.

Now there will be a vote! Drea decides that she is going to play her Knowledge is Power Advantage. She directs her question to Mike and asks him if he has an idol. He tells her no and we get a look at Omar talking to Mike before the Tribal Council. Omar told Mike about this advantage and gets Mike to give him the idol. After the votes are tallied, no one plays an idol and Jeff reads the votes:

• Drea – Omar
• Mike – Drea
• Drea – Mike
• Mike – Romeo
• Drea – Lindsay
• Drea – Maryanne
• Drea – Jonathan

With 5 votes, Drea is the next member of our Jury.

We start tonight’s episode of Survivor off with the castaways talking about the vote from last week. Hai is upset that Romeo voted for him even though Romeo is denying it. Later, Hai tells Mike, Jonathan, and Rocksroy that he wants Romeo gone. After Hai leaves the conversation, Rocksroy tells Jonathan and Mike that he would like to make an alliance with him, Hai, Jonathan, Rocksroy, and Omar. However, Hai doesn’t want to be a part of this because he doesn’t like Rocksroy.

It is time for tonight’s Immunity Challenge! Tonight the castaways will have to stand on a triangular platform with their feet on very narrow footboards. At regular intervals, they will have to move up on the triangle. They will be broken up into two groups of five and one person from each team will win immunity. The team of the person who lasts the longest will be the second tribe to vote someone out. The final person standing will also win food for their team.

Within minutes, Hai, Lindsay, and Jonathan are the last three standing. Hai is the last standing for his team so he has immunity but he is fighting for the food reward and for his team to be the last tribe to go to Tribal Council. Lindsay falls which leaves Jonathan and Hai as the last men standing. They will both win Immunity, but only one team will win the food. Hai ends up falling before Jonathan which means that Jonathan’s team will win the food. Romeo, Mike, Hai, Rocksroy, and Omar will go to Tribal Council first tonight and hang out at one of the old campsites. Meanwhile, Jonathan, Drea, Maryanne, Tori, and Lindsay will get food and will go to Tribal Council second tonight.

On one island, they are looking to get rid of Romeo, but then talks swing towards Rocksroy. Meanwhile, Jonathan wants to vote out Drea but plans to tell Drea that they are voting out Maryanne. Drea sees a red flag when he mentions this to her. When Jonathan brings this to Lindsay, Lindsay tells him that if Drea is voting for Maryanne and Drea plays her idol, then Maryanne ends up going. She mentions that Maryanne has an idol and an extra vote that Maryanne could potentially use in their favor. Jonathan says that they need to rethink things then, but Jonathan isn’t listening to what Lindsay is trying to tell him.

It’s time for the first Tribal Council where Hai, Mike, Rocksroy, Omar, and Romeo are sitting in front of Jeff. After some talks, it’s time for the first vote. Jeff tells them if anyone has a hidden immunity idol or advantage that they would like to play, now is the time to do so. No one uses anything. Here are the votes:

• Romeo
• Rocksroy
• Rocksroy
• Rocksroy

With three votes, Rocksroy takes a seat next to Chanelle on the Jury Bench. Drea is shocked when the second group walks in and sees him sitting there. Everyone is confused about Rocksroy being voted out. After some talks, Drea tells everyone that she is playing her idol tonight. Jonathan then starts talking to Linsday and Maryanne and then they bring Tori into the conversation. The conversation turns to representation and how important it is for Drea to stay in this game to represent the black community. Maryanne also says that she will be playing her idol tonight. This goes beyond the game.

Due to the depth of the conversation and to not take away from the moment, they decide that they are going to talk it out from their seats instead of doing a formal vote. Drea and Maryanne, both hand in their idols, and Jeff verifies that they are both real. Jonathan is also safe meaning that Tori and Linsday are the only ones who can be voted out.

After talking, it is revealed that Tori would have the two votes to go, and at this point, Tori decides that she is going to play her shot in the dark. If she gets safety with her shot in the dark, that means that Lindsay will go and Tori will stay. Tori goes to play her shot in the dark and hands the scroll to Jeff. Jeff opens it and it reveals that Tori is not safe. Tori has become the third member of the jury.

We started tonight’s episode off with a conversation between Romeo and Drea and Drea is telling us that before the merge, Romeo was her closest ally. Now, however, he is starting to distance himself from her and she is starting to think that he might have to go soon. Meanwhile, Maryanne is worried that people don’t like her anymore, even the castaways from her original tribe.

Last season, Jeff and the crew put an advantage under the bench at this same exact point in the game and it wasn’t found. Jeff says that they are going to do the same thing this season and he is going to be very surprised if it isn’t found this time around. It is time for the Reward Challenge of the night and the castaways will be competing for PB&J sandwiches. The castaways will draw rocks for teams and one person will not be picked and will have to sit out. After the rock drawn happens, Maryanne is not picked for a team. However, Drea mentions that she doesn’t like PB&J and would be willing to trade places with Maryanne and Jeff allows it.

In this challenge, the castaways will go one by one and guide a ball down a rope through an obstacle course in the water. Drea is sitting on the bench and looking around where she is sitting. She finds the beware advantage under the bench and puts it in her pants while the others are busy competing. She knows that it is a beware advantage but she isn’t going to beware of anything, she is going to take the advantage.

At the end of the challenge, the castaways will have to shoot their balls into a basket. The Orange Team takes a huge lead with four of their five balls making it in before Blue gets one. Jonathan takes over for Blue and manages to get all of them in and pulls off the win for the Blue Team which consisted of Jonathan, Mike, Rocksroy, Chanelle, and Tori.

Back at camp after the challenge, Orange is sitting around talking about how they can’t even be mad that they lost because they were so close. After the people who were on the Blue team head back, talks start about how they should send home tonight at Tribal Council. Tori and Romeo’s names have been mentioned. Meanwhile, Drea is going off to find out what she beware advantage is. She opens it and finds a clue that leads her to the water well. She is told that she will find what she is looking for five paces from the water well. She starts looking around and finds a coconut that is cracked open. Under this coconut is a hole that is filled with red paint. She puts her hand inside and finds what she is looking for. Unfortunately, now, her hand is covered in red paint.

She opens the container that has the advantage in it and it’s the Knowledge Is Power advantage. This allows her to ask one person if they have an idol or an advantage and if the answer is yes, they have to give it to her. When she gets back to camp, Tori notices the red paint but thinks that it is blood. She asks Drea if she is okay and Drea tells Tori that it is just red paint from the paint kit they got earlier. However, there is nothing on the canvas that they were given so Tori starts to suspect something. She goes and tells Maryanne about this and now Drea knows that Tori has to go next.

Before the immunity challenge, Jeff tells us that he has enough rice to last for four days and his plan is to get six castaways to sit out in exchange for it. He adds that he will settle for four of them if they push hard enough. Jeff explains that in tonight’s challenge, the castaways will have to stand on a perch while holding a buoy with two sticks. If they fall off the perch or if they drop their buoy, they are out. Jeff then uses this as a way to bring up the negotiations for the bag of rice.

The castaways start with two for the whole bag, and Jeff counters with nine. Drea and Lindsay have offered and Jeff mentions that he thinks that six would be fair. They counter with four and Jeff asks who the four are. Maryanne raises her hand and then they huddle to get a fourth to volunteer. Maryanne pleads with them that she knows that she could be in danger tonight, but she is willing to step out and hopes that someone in a better position would be too. Omar becomes the fourth to sit out for rice.

The Immunity Challenge starts and Hai is out within seconds. Rocksroy is out next, Mike is right behind him, and Romeo is out fourth. That leaves Chanelle, Jonathan, and Tori left on their perches. Chanelle is out leaving Tori and Jonathan to battle it out. Jonathan starts to wobble a bit and can’t recover. That means that Tori has one individual immunity for the second week in a row.

The castaways head back to camp and now that Tori is safe, their choices are down to Chanelle, Romeo, and Maryanne. Romeo thinks that it needs to be Chanelle and Mike is on board with this because she voted for him at Tribal Council a couple of weeks ago. The plan is to get Chanelle out, but they convinced Chanelle that the plan is to vote out Romeo. Meanwhile, Romeo is starting to get paranoid and because of this paranoia, he is putting a target on his own back. Omar tells Hai about Romeo being paranoid and now they think that Romeo might need to go because he is causing chaos.

Hai starts to talk to some of the others and he is able to convince some of the other castaways to vote Romeo out. However, Mike doesn’t want Romeo out, he wants Chanelle out because she stabbed him in the back. Mike talks with Rocksroy, Jonathan, and Hai about how he really needs Chanelle out this week and they can take Romeo out next. We will see what happens at the Tribal Council which is coming up next!

Jeff asks the castaways if there were any talks back at camp that the four who sat out at the immunity challenge were off-limits. Jonathan says that he made it clear that he wasn’t going to vote for any of them and everyone else seems to agree. There were some talks about paranoia and how someone acting that way can affect their allies’ gameplay. Romeo clearly knows that this conversation is about him. After some talks at Tribal Council, it’s time for the castaways to vote!

After the votes are tallied, Jeff tells the castaways that if anyone has an advantage or an immunity idol, now is the time to use it. No one plays anything. Here are the votes:

Tonight on Survivor season 42, we will watch as the three tribes drop their buffs! However, we are not at merge just yet. Instead, the remaining castaways will be broken down into two teams for the upcoming Immunity Challenge on Survivor 2022. My guess is that it will be like last season where the winning tribe gets their ticket to merge and the losing tribe will go to Tribal Council where one person will be voted out. Before tonight’s episode of Survivor kicks off, here is a reminder of what happened at this point last season. The castaways are told to drop their buffs, they are then broken up into two teams. The winning team gets a buff and is told that they are safe from the next elimination, for now. The winning team then picks one person from the losing team to spend the night on a secluded island where Jeff will visit and tells them that they can change the outcome of the game. Last season, this was when Erika got the hourglass and if she chose to smash the hourglass, her team would be safe and the other team would go to Tribal Council instead. We started this episode off with some drama between Mike and Channelle after the last Tribal Council. Mike found out that she was the one that put his name down and he is not happy about it. After we watch that unfold, Jeff comes on the screen to talk to us that since this season and last were both filmed back to back, this gives them a unique opportunity. He then tells us that everything that happened at this point last season, will be happening again and brings the castaways out.

He tells them to drop their buffs and explains that this isn’t a merge, but instead, they will be split into two teams to compete in the next challenge. He explains that the winning team will get buffs and will not have to compete in the next individual immunity challenge. The other team will have to compete for their safety but only one will get it. The rest will be in danger of being voted out at the next Tribal Council. They are then told that they will also be competing for a reward. The winning team will get Applebees and the castaways go wild over the idea of having real food for the first time in weeks.

After drawing rocks to find out who is on what team, Jeff tells them that there is one more twist and then we cut to a commercial break. He tells them that orange rocks will compete together on one team, blue rocks will be on the other team and the two that drew grey rocks will not compete. Orange rocks are Lydia, Jonathan, Maryanne, Hai, and Tori and Blue rocks are Drea, Mike, Romeo, Omar, and Channelle. Grey rocks are Rocksroy and Lindsay and their fate will be in the hands of the five who win.

Orange is the first team to get to the puzzle, meanwhile, Blue is still working on getting the key for their puzzle pieces. It is a 55-piece puzzle so there is still time for Blue to catch up. Blue however starts to run out of gas and Drea has a hard time getting up onto the platform before the ramp where they have to build a human ladder. They are able to get all their people onto the puzzle platform, but Orange is already almost a third of the way through this puzzle. Unfortunately for Blue, they aren’t able to catch up and Orange is able to win this challenge.

Orange gets the buff, immunity, and food. They are then told that they can pick either Lindsay or Rocksroy to join them. However, they will then have to choose to either send the other to spend two days and two nights alone or send one of their own. Whoever goes on this journey will come back with an advantage. Orange chooses to take Lindsay along with them. Jeff then asks if they are going to send Rocksroy or one of their own on the two-day, two-night journey. They choose to send Rocksroy. After Orange leaves, Jeff tells Blue that they will each get a serving of rice as a consolation prize and they head to the Vati camp. Jeff then asks Rocksroy what he is feeling. Rocksroy tells him that he was hoping they would send him because of the advantage.

While eating their Applebees, Tori decides that she is going to air all her grievances to her fellow teammates. She airs all her former tribemate’s dirty laundry to them. On the Vati camp, Drea and the others are talking about Rocksroy being sent away. Drea wonders if Rocksroy will get some kind of advantage to flip the winning teams. Mike and Drea get a chance to talk for a bit alone and they both know each of them has an idol. They compare notes about their tribemates and agree that they have to stick together. Drea warns Mike about Tori and Mike warns Drea about Channelle. They also share who their current alliance members are.

Rocksroy gets to his beach and he finds a pot, some rice, and fire-making materials. While walking around, he finds a hammer and an hourglass. He brings it back to his camp assuming that this might be part of his advantage. He then gets to work on making a shelter for himself and gathering some coconuts. Rocksroy opens up about issues that he has had with his eyes and says that this might be the last time, at his age, that he will see something as beautiful as the sunset. He talks about how blessed he is to be on Survivor.

Back on the main island, the castaways are getting to know all these new faces. Tori, Hai, and Drea then get together to talk about their amulets. They talk about working together and using them as an extra vote, but Hai is worried that Tory and Drea might stab him in the back. Jonathan and Mike bond a bit while the others are talking.

A little later, Romeo and Hai have a chance to talk a bit. Romeo is inspired by Hai’s ability to be unapologetically himself and not hide his sexuality because Romeo hasn’t been able to be that open. Romeo opens up to Hai about how he hasn’t come out to a lot of his family and that most of them will find out that he is gay from watching Survivor. Hai tells Romeo that he is there for him and that he should be the proud gay man that he is. You can tell that Romeo talking to Hai lifted a weight off his shoulders.

Drea, Lydia, Jonathan, and Hai all get together and compare notes about who they trust, who they don’t, and who they have relationships with already. Tori, Channelle, and Maryanne’s names are all thrown out as possibilities to go next. Channelle comes over and they change the subject quickly to fishing. Later, Channelle pulls Lydia aside and Channelle tells us that she is having a hard time trusting Lydia. Meanwhile, Omar joins the conversation with Drea, Jonathan, and Hai. Omar tells them that he isn’t sure if he has a vote at the next Tribal Council. Drea confirms with the rest that they are all working together and then tells Omar that she has an extra vote if need be.

Back on Exile Island, Jeff comes to talk to Rocksroy. Jeff explains what the hourglass is for and tells him that he can keep the game the way it is or he can smash the hourglass and change everything. Jeff tells him that if he smashes the hourglass, the team that is currently safe will not be safe anymore and he and the others will be instead.

It is time for the first Individual Immunity Challenge! However, Rocksroy gets a chance to talk to the others first. Jeff fills the others in on the choice that Rocksroy had to make. Rocksroy then tells them that he chose to reverse time and change the outcome of the last challenge therefore he, Channelle, Drea, Mike, Romeo, and Omar are now safe and Tori, Lydia, Maryanne, Hai, Jonathan, and Lindsay will now have to compete and Jeff tells them that one of them will not even make the Jury!

In this challenge, the castaways will have to spell the word Immunity backward, letter by letter, from bottom to top on a platform and use a rope to keep the platform steady as they go back for the next letter. Hai takes the lead about halfway through the challenge, Jonathan is right behind him. However, Hai drops his rope too far putting Tori and Jonathan in the lead. Jonathan then drops his letters and now Tori is in the lead. Lindsay is right behind Tori.

Tori places her last letter and starts heading back to the starting point. Lindsay then drops her letters leaving Tori in the lead. However, if she drops, that puts Maryanne in the lead. Tori does manage to make it back to her starting platform and wins the first Individual Immunity Challenge. That leaves Maryanne, Jonathan, Hai, Lydia, and Lindsay in trouble at tonight’s Tribal Council.

Everyone gets back to camp and Rocksroy goes with Jonathan to do some fishing. Jonathan tells Rocksroy that he is part of an alliance and Drea has already put Rocksroy in it too. Jonathan gives him a quick update on what’s been going on however, Romeo and Tori are running around trying to get everyone to vote out Jonathan tonight. However, Lindsay tells Channelle and Lydia that Maryanne also has powers other than her shot in the dark.

Jonathan talks to Drea, Romeo, and Rocksroy. Omar talks to Lydia and she tells him that she just wants to go with the majority. Keep in mind, that she is part of an eight-person alliance with Jonathan but seems open to voting out Jonathan. That leads Omar to start putting Lydia’s name out there with some of the others. Omar does not have a vote tonight but when he goes to Hai about Lydia being an option, Hai starts trying to get everyone to go after Maryanne again. It’s been a lot of back and forth for sure. Stay tuned for the vote results coming up soon!

It is time for Tribal Council! It is the first Tribal Council with everyone present. After some talks about the new dynamic at camp now that everyone has come together. It is time to vote! Jeff tallies the votes and tells the castaways that if they have an advantage or a hidden immunity idol, now would be the time to use it. No one plays anything Here are the votes:

We started tonight’s episode off with a look at the Taku tribe talking at camp, but you can tell that Jonathan is getting frustrated with his fellow tribemates. He decides that he is going to go fishing for a few hours and get away from the rest of them. When he gets back to camp, he starts cooking the fish he caught and Maryanne keeps walking through where he is working. She steps on a branch that Jonathan is trying to break up and it hits the bottom of her foot pretty hard. She gets upset and starts complaining that Jonathan is working in her space. This annoys her, which annoys him and everyone else on the beach.

Meanwhile, on Vati, Daniel is spearfishing. Meanwhile, everyone else is on the beach talking about how Daniel can’t compete in physical competitions, but he can be out in the water spearfishing. Mike gets annoyed because they have been carrying him since day one, but now he is out swimming and fishing in the water.

Drea and Romeo go out looking for an idol and she finds it. She ignores the beware message on the front of the package before opening the package. Drea reads and finds out that she doesn’t have a vote until the idol is activated. She keeps reading and sees that there are secret phrases and realizes that Maryanne has one because she remembers Maryanne saying her phrase. She just hopes that someone on Vati finds their idol and says the phrase also. Meanwhile, on Vati, Mike is talking to his tribemates about how if no one from the other tribes knows that he has an idol, it could be a huge weapon for them. He says that if he hears the other phrases, he will have to make a split-second decision.

It is time for tonight’s Immunity Challenge! Maryanne says her phrase, then Drea throws her out there, and Mike decides at that moment that he needs to say his phrase also. That means that all the idols are active and they all have their votes back. Now it’s time to get the challenge started! They also find that the first two teams will be getting tarps also!

The tribes will have to go through an obstacle course, including a twisted rope puzzle and at the end, they have to use sandbags to knock down disks from pillars. Ika is the first tribe to win Immunity. Vati is struggling to knock down their disks, meanwhile, Taku is stuck on the twisted rope puzzle. Once Taku gets the twisted rope puzzle done, Vati is still working on their disks. Jonathan is able to make a huge comeback and is the second tribe to win Immunity which means that Vati will be heading to Tribal Council.

Two people are told they will be taking a journey. Ika gets to pick someone from Vati and they choose Lydia. The second person could be from Taku or Ika and Ika chooses to send Rocksroy. After the challenge, Daniel and Channelle both ask Mike and Hai if they can talk to them before Tribal. Hai tells Daniel that out of the two of them (Daniel and Channelle), he trusts Daniel more. Hai tells Daniel that he doesn’t trust Channelle and that seems to make Daniel comfortable. Mike and Hai then talk after that and believe that as long as they and Lydia are safe, they don’t care which one goes. Mike just hopes that Lydia doesn’t risk her vote because they are going to need it.

Rocksroy and Lydia go on their journey and Rocksroy asks her who she thinks might be in trouble tonight. She tells him that she is nervous that it could be her. She tells us that she feels that she is in an okay position, she is trying to feel Rocksroy out and not give him too much information. When it comes time to go, they come to the big decision about whether or not they are going to protect or risk their vote. Rocksroy decides to protect his vote and Lydia also chooses to protect hers. They both keep their votes going into tonight’s Tribal Council. Lydia gets back to Vati and she gets a recap on what is going on. Hai fills her in on what everyone is going to do at Tribal with their votes.

It is time for the Tribal Council and after they talk for a bit, it’s time to vote. After the votes are in, Jeff tells Vati that if anyone has a hidden immunity idol or an advantage they want to use, not would be the time to do it. No one plays anything. Here are the votes:

• Channelle – Hai
• Daniel – Mike
• Mike – Channell

There will be a revote where Mike, Hai, and Lydia will only vote for Channelle or Daniel. Here are the revotes:

With two votes, Daniel has become the next person voted off Survivor and Mike is also not happy about having someone vote against him in the first vote. This could cause some tension next week!

We started tonight’s episode of Survivor off with Channelle blowing up Daniel’s game after he threw her under the bus at Tribal Council. Hai then goes to talk to Mike and tells Mike about the plan to split the vote between Mike and Jenny. Hai asks Mike to work with him and Lydia and Mike joined forces with Hai and Lydia. MIke then confronts Daniel about him trying to pull the wool over his eyes.

It is now time for the Reward Challenge! The first tribe will win 10 freshly caught fish and the other two tribes will win nothing. In tonight’s Reward Challenge, the castaways will be connected to ropes which they will have to untangle as they go through an obstacle course. At the end of the course, they will have to each land a ball into a narrow basket at the top of a pole.

Taku takes an early lead in this challenge and is the first tribe to make it to the basket. The other two tribes are still trying to unravel their ropes. Maryanne gets her ball in, Omar gets his ball in, Jonathan gets his ball in and Lindsay gets hers in. This secures their win in the Reward Challenge.

After the reward challenge, we got a look at some conversations going on at camp. One conversation I want to point out was on Taku where Maryann expresses her frustration with Jonathan over something he said. Meanwhile, on Ika, Tori has gotten herself in some hot water after telling people about Drea’s extra vote.

It is now time for the Immunity Challenge where two tribe members will be tethered to a boat, will have to dive in, and bring their other tribe members in the boat to a tower. The two tribe members in the boat will have to climb the tower for keys which will unlock pieces to a puzzle at the end. The first two tribes to get their puzzle assembled will win immunity and the other tribe will have to vote out one of their own.

Taku is in the lead, Ika and Vati are right behind them. Omar loses his key and wastes a lot of time getting it back, but they are able to get it and are the first team to make it to the platform with their puzzle. Ika is second to get to the platform and Vati finally gets there. In the end, Taku is the first tribe to win Immunity and after Ika drops some of their puzzle pieces, Vati pulls out a huge comeback and wins the second Immunity spot! That means that Ika will head to Tribal Council after missing the win by two pieces.

Romeo gets word that Swati is playing all sides of the tribe. He goes to tell Drea that he thinks that they need to get Swati out and then Romeo, Drea, and Tori get together and have realized that Swati has told all three of them that she wants to work with them. Swati realizes that something is going on and tries to do damage control with Drea and that confuses her as to what she should do tonight. It’s between Tori and Swati, who will it be?

It is time for the Tribal Council! At the Tribal Council, Swati throws Tori under the bus claiming that she is the one that wanted to blindside Drea, not Swati. Which then triggers a conversation between Romeo and Drea. Rocksroy tells everyone that for Swati to speak out like this is big for her because she is typically a very shy person. Sounds like Rocksroy might be believing Swati over Tori. Will that work in her favor? It’s time for the castaways to vote!

Jeff tells them that if they have a hidden immunity idol or advantage now is the time to do so. Swati played her shot in the dark and Jeff reveals that Swati is NOT SAFE tonight. Here are the votes:

With three votes, Swati has been voted out of Survivor 42.

Daniel starts asking Mike about his idol on Survivor 2022 and asks to read the note attached to it. We started tonight’s episode of Survivor with Taku reflecting on the Tribal Council. Maryanne goes for a walk and finds a hidden immunity idol and sees that it warns her before she opens it. She decides to keep it and reads the note. She knows that she has to say a secret phrase and the other two also have to be said at the same immunity challenge before it’s active. She then reads further and realizes that she has no vote until the idol is active.

Meanwhile, on Vati, Daniel asks to read Mike’s idol letter and he agrees so that Daniel will leave him alone. After Daniel reads it, he realizes that the idol isn’t active and Mike doesn’t have a vote until it is. When Daniel goes back to give Mike his idol back, the only thing he hands him is the letter that explains it. The idol and the congratulations note is gone. Mike and Daniel walk back to where Daniel read the details and realizes that he left the idol and congratulations note on the ground.

It is time for tonight’s Immunity Challenge! The first two tribes to win will get a toolkit and fruit to bring back to camp on top of immunity. Romeo sits out for Ika since they have an extra player. Taku takes a strong lead to start off this challenge, but Ika and Vati struggle to swim against the currents. Taku makes it to the beach and gets to the next part of the challenge while the other two tribes are still in the water. Taku wins immunity and the other teams are still fighting the waves.

After a little while, Jeff calls both of the tribes onto the beach and tells the tribes that they will get retrieve the keys for them and let them continue the challenge from the beach. Vati takes a lead, but Ika is right behind them. The teams stay tied getting to the last sandbag, but Ika is able to pull off the win! That means that Vati will be heading to Tribal Council. Taku is given the choice to take the fishing gear over the tool kit and fruit and they decide to do that.

Taku is told that they have to pick someone from Vati to send on a journey and they chose to send Channelle. They are then told that they can choose someone from Ika or their own tribe to go on the same journey. They choose to send Omar from Taku.

Back at camp, Vati discusses who they should vote out tonight and it sounds like Lydia and Jenny are top on that list. Mike and Daniel want to see Lydia go, but Lydia and Hai want Jenny to go. This means that Channelle is going to be the deciding vote. Speaking of Channelle, she and Omar are making their decision on whether they are going to risk or protect their votes. They both choose to risk their vote which means that they are both going to lose their votes at Tribal Council. Therefore, Channelle is not going to be the deciding vote.

Channelle gets to camp and Daniel fills her in quickly about what might go on. Channelle tells Hai and Lydia that they have to split the vote, but her plan is to get Hai to vote for Jenny and Lydia to vote for Mike so that Daniel and Jenny can vote Lydia out. Hai says that he doesn’t feel right about this and says that he is going to have to trust his gut with this one.

It is time for the Tribal Council! The votes are in and Jeff goes to tally the votes and when he comes back, he tells everyone that if they have an idol or an advantage now is the time to use it. No one has one and he reads off the votes:

• Lydia
• Jenny
• Lydia
• Jenny

There is a tie so the castaways have to do a revote for Jenny or Lydia.

• Lydia

They have tied again. Hai is confused because there are four of them and only two votes. The castaways are told that per the rules of Survivor since they are deadlocked, it is up to the castaways to come to a unanimous decision. However, since two of them can’t vote, they will have no final say in the decision. Jeff is forced to reveal that Mike and Channelle didn’t vote and tell Hai and Daniel that the decision is theirs. He also explains that if they can’t come to a decision, Lydia and Jenny will then be safe and the other four will draw rocks to find out who goes home.

Daniel starts the talk off by saying that he doesn’t want to draw rocks. He also tells Hai that he only voted for Lydia because he was under the impression that Channelle wanted Lydia out. After the talks, Hai tells everyone that he is not changing his vote and will just draw rocks. Daniel throws Channelle under the bus to protect his alliance with Hai and Lydia. Daniel asks Hai and Lydia if they will hold this against him if he chooses to change his vote and they both tell him no. Hai tells Jeff that he is sticking with his vote and Daniel decides to vote Jenny out as well to avoid drawing rocks.

Jenny has become the next person voted out of Survivor.
