The Archival Collection was originally introduced two years ago as part of the 60th anniversary of KnollTextiles.

<strong>Nova</strong><br>

German designer Wolf Bauer created Nova, 1969, as part of a group of drapery fabrics that married organic patterns with classic modernism. While influenced by the trends of the colorful and graphic pop art movement from the 60s, Nova, a large scale three color drapery print, has a more timeless appeal. Nova comes in two colorways including a blue that pays homage to Bauer’s original. It is printed on 100% Trevira CS polyester, 56” wide.

 </p>
<p>

<strong>Quartet</strong>
<br>

Suzanne Huguenin was a strong contributor to KnollTextiles, first as a designer, and then as design director from 1955-1964. She originally created this drapery fabric in 1963. Bold and colorful, the pattern is printed in repeats of four, one-foot wide horizontal bands of color. When railroaded, it runs vertically up to 118” in height. Made of 100% Trevira CS polyester in four colorways.

 </p><p>

</p><p><strong>Plain Linen</strong><br>

This fabric, which was designed under the creative direction of Florence Knoll in 1953, is an example of how Knoll steered away from the prevailing textile language of the day – brocades, chintz and the like – and turned to simple men’s suiting for modern inspiration. Made of 97% linen with 3% polyurethane on the face.

 </p><p>
<strong>Cornaro</strong>
<br>

A classic Knoll fabric in the line from 1974-1978, Cornaro – as it was originally named – remains a classic today. This textured solid is composed of 75% wool with 20% silk and 5% nylon. When piece dyed, the silk takes on a slightly contrasting tone for a subtle heather effect.
