/>
You can spend thousands of dollars on cosmetic dentistry and whitening techniques. But for most people just a few dollars, and a few secrets used at home will do the trick.

Whitening toothpastes are not all that effective in reality. For best results try making a paste of hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and a dash of salt (optional) to use as a toothpaste about every three days. It's best to do this at night, as teeth may become more porous after a good cleaning and absorb stains from coffee, tea, etc that you consume throughout the day.

Additionally, opt for a baking soda and peroxide toothpaste and/or add a thin layer of Arm & Hammer Whitening Booster on top of your toothpaste. The bottle costs around $5.00, and adds a whitening boost to any toothpaste.

Brush morning and night, and be sure to floss once daily. Flossing helps to remove stains and plaque from between teeth, the hardest place to reach.

Smile!
<script

Or have you found a spot on your head that is no longer quite covered by hair? The following methods, either one alone or using several in conjunction, have worked for many to re-grow healthy, thick, lustrous hair. While some of these methods may sound a bit unusual, they may be beneficial to you as well.

Increase your daily intake of the following vitamins and minerals:
Iodine (Potassium Iodide or Sea Kelp), Sodium ascorbate (an alkaline form of vitamin C; about 1000 mg.), Calcium (1,200 mg), Biotin (5,000 mcg), Horsetail, and MSM (a natural source of sulfur).

Herbs and foods:
All protein and calcium rich foods, sage, rosemary, gelatin, and pectin (an acidic extract taken from the rinds of citrus fruits and apples).

EVCO (Extra Virgin Coconut Oil) applied sparingly to hair (also great as a pre-wash hair and scalp soak, applied liberally.) Taken internally EVCO is also an efficient promoter of hair growth.

Scalp massage (massage scalp in a circular motion to increase circulation, using the fingertips and never the fingernails). Inversion Therapy is also helpful for hair loss due to poor circulation.

Use French Shampoo: Rene Furterer Astera Soothing Milk Shampoo. Users reported sprouting new hairs in as little as a week. In two months most reported thicker hair with bald spots almost completely covered.

Original Dawn dishwashing liquid (used as shampoo).

Borax (to wash hair, typically about one tablespoon mixed with water), (also helps cure scalp problems).

Stinging Nettle hair wash (boil some fresh or dried Nettle leaves for a short time, and use as a hair rinse).

Apple Cider Vinegar diluted into final rinse after washing; also makes hair shine.

Use pure crude oil to as a hair soak.

Eucalyptus Oil (apply to balding spots)

Baking soda and lemon taken internally for thinning hair (two tablespoon lemon plus one-half teaspoon of baking soda taken twice a day, preferably three times a day).

For aging hair: using a soft brush such as a boar bristle brush, bend forward at the waist and brush your hair toward the floor. Do not push brush into the scalp but just start at the scalp and brush to the tips. Use your other hand to hold the hair against the brush. When you have all the hair brushed well in this direction, stand straight and push the brush against the scalp while brushing your hair towards the back and sides of the head with constant pressure on the brush until all the hair all brushed well. As we age, the hair loses the ability to hold an enzyme found on the scalp. This method helps the production and distribution of this enzyme and increases circulation.

For male pattern balding, take Saw Palmetto (increased dosage- two capsules in the morning and two again in the evening.)
Finally, new research shows that simply eating soybeans may be the answer to keeping and re-growing your hair, as well as improving the hair you have. Go figure...

<script

If your hair seems to have stopped growing, or is thinning, the first step is to identify the cause.

Many think their hair is not growing because they are damaging it and breaking off the ends unaware. Try styling your hair in sunlight. If you see tiny pieces flying in the air as you style, this is likely the culprit. See this article to learn how to prevent breakage:
BeNice2YourHair

Hair, like the rest of your body, needs to be fed and nourished. If you don’t have a medical condition, such as a thyroid disorder, and you’re not breaking off the ends, your hair nemesis is most likely a vitamin or mineral deficiency.

The most common deficiency is Vitamin C. You have to consume it and/or take a supplement every single day, because your body does not store this vitamin. After a period of time, your hair will begin to thin and fall out without Vitamin C, so be absolutely sure you’re getting enough. The best source of C is sodium ascorbate.

Many Americans are iodine deficient. Iodine is essential, and hard to obtain. Without it, you will have slow hair growth, possible hair loss, and may even lose your eyebrows and eyelashes. Iodized salt is not enough for many to compensate for their diets, and many are on salt-restricted diets as well. Check your multi-vitamin for iodine or iodide. The best form is potassium iodide or sea kelp, and even many of the most popular brands of vitamins do not have it. Find a brand that does, or do an online search for high-iodine foods and other sources. If you are iodine deficient, you will have more energy as well as hair by remedying this problem. (Too much iodine is equally damaging and dangerous, be sure not to overdo it.)

MSM, or methylsulphonylmethane, is completely natural compound that our bodies use everyday. It’s essential for healing, but it also makes hair, eyelashes, and fingernails long and luxuriant because MSM is an organic sulfur, and hair and nails have more organic sulfur than anywhere else in your body. MSM is the fourth most needed element in nutrition, following oxygen, water, and salt.

Reduce your stress levels any way you can (excess stress weakens your hair), and get some sunlight. Vitamin D is crucial, and sunlight is a very good source. Additionally, take one-two tablespoons of cod liver oil, which is high in Vitamin D, about once a week, and as an extra dose take one tablespoon of linseed oil to give hair the essential fatty acids that it needs.

Protein is mandatory. Hair is made of proteins, so be sure to get sufficient amounts. An Amino Acid supplement is good to boost your protein. Try to get at least 1,000 mcg daily of Biotin as well, which helps your body use the proteins and carbohydrates you consume effectively. Biotin is relatively inexpensive, and comes in small, easy to swallow pills.

Other supplements for hair, lash and nail growth, in order of importance, are: Manganese, Vitamin K, Folic Acid, Zinc, Calcium, Vitamin B-Complex, Evening Primrose Oil, and Horsetail. I know the feeling. Although hair for hair, I have as many as almost anyone, my texture is almost baby fine. However, what works for fine hair usually works for thin hair, and vice versa. Over the years I’ve managed to texturize and plump up my hair with a great deal of research, expense, and trial and error, so let me save you some trouble:

Let’s start with the basics. The first thing you must remember is to prevent damage at all costs, and fine hair is easily damaged and extremely porous. One trick to thicker hair is to help it regenerate faster than it is broken or frazzled with split ends.

** Never bunch up or scrub your hair with a towel to dry. This is extremely damaging. Just blot and scrunch your hair gently with a towel. Most importantly, never brush wet hair. Use a wide-tooth comb to smooth it as gently as possible without any pulling or tugging. If you have tangles that require you to pull your hair as you comb, you may need to alter your shampooing methods or experiment with different conditioners. It may also help to comb conditioner through your hair with a wide-toothed comb before you rinse it out.

** Use a deep conditioner (or a home-made soak such as coconut oil, hemp seed oil or heated olive oil) at least once a week whenever possible.

** Do not try to style hair that is wet, because that is when your hair is most elastic and prone to breakage. It’s a waste of time as well, because hair can’t hold a style until it is just barely damp. Don’t style by pulling and stretching your hair; always be as gentle as possible.

With that knowledge absorbed, you’ve already made a big step. But it’s not enough. Fine hair demands more to look good, and that’s where the products come in. Additionally, you may want to consider a permanent or hair color to add volume and texture, but never both! Fine hair is too easily damaged and you’ll wind up with brittle, frizzy, hay-like hair. Get your hair in good condition, have the ends trimmed every couple of months (or as needed), and then you can perm or color. If you opt for a perm, remember that it takes up some hair length as it adds volume, so you may want to let your hair grow a bit longer first.

List of Products I highly recommend:

** Fat Hair Shampoo (available at Walgreens)

** Jason Natural Thin-To-Thick Shampoo (MotherNature.com)

** Aussie Real Volume Shanpoo

** Sunsilk Anti-Flat Shampoo

** Jason Natural Thin-To-Thick Hair Care Conditioner

** Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Conditioner

** Samy Volumizing Mousse

** TRESemme Big Boost Root Lift Spray

** Aussie Aussome Volume Texturizing Gel

** Aussie Aussome Volume Styling Mousse (for fine and frizzy hair. Helps to tame and adds shine)

Additionally, take care of your hair from the inside out by getting all your vitamins and minerals to make it stronger and promote growth.

One trick I’ve found and stuck with is to soak my hair in warm coconut oil. Apply to dry hair, let sit about 15-20 minutes, wet with a little warm water and massage thoroughly into scalp (scalp massage also promotes hair growth). Shampoo this out, but try not to remove all the residue because leaving a little will add extreme shine and texture to your hair, eliminate the need to condition, and provide a protective barrier that will make hair stronger. Or add a little coconut oil directly to your clean hair by determining the right amount for you, warming it in your hands, and applying evenly, focusing on the ends.

Best wishes for your fine-ally thick hair!

<script

You don’t need me to tell you what it is, or the symptoms thereof. What you’re looking for is answers to help deal with and cure this irritating and sometimes debilitating ailment. As the mother of an eczema-stricken daughter and a sufferer myself, I can tell you some things that will assist you and hopefully help to put your rashes into remission.
First things first: wash skin gently with a mild, anti-bacterial soap. Do not ever use water that is too warm or too cool, as this can aggravate the symptoms. Pat skin dry with a clean towel, instead of rubbing. Avoid extremes in temperature. Keep eczema prone areas away from irritants such as household cleansers. Do not wear tight fitting or irritating clothes on the areas. If the outbreaks are on your feet, wear only plain, white cotton socks and 100% leather shoes.

Internally, avoid artificial ingredients as much as possible. Also, take Lecithin daily, which helps to moisturize from the inside. A daily dose of Benadryl is also very helpful for some afflicted with eczema. Avoid processed meats and junk foods in general and carbonated beverages as much as possible.

Skin that has a rash from eczema must be kept clean, and ultra-moisturized; the heavier the moisture, the better. With my daughter, who has finally outgrown a severe case of eczema, we often had to rub down her hands and feet with a heavy layer of Vaseline, cover with plastic wrap or plastic gloves, put socks on over the plastic on her feet, and leave this on overnight. This was the only thing that seemed to help alleviate the irritation and heal the wounds, often with better results than doctor-prescribed creams. When removing the plastic you will notice a foul smell. This is unpleasant, but it is a process of “drawing out” the disease and helps speed healing.

Other Noted Eczema Cures:

Internal:

* 1200mg of Lecithin, 50mg of zinc, 400 I.U. of vitamin E and 500mg L-Lysine once daily after a meal.

* Eliminate all dairy products.

* Avoid anything containing citric acid.

* Take Vitamin B-Complex.

* Eat an apple daily.

* Apple Cider Vinegar, two or three tablespoons in water daily.

* Apple Cider Vinegar (2tbs) and Baking Soda (1/4 tsp) in a glass of water three times per day.

* Take 1/4 heaping tsp. Turmeric per day.

External:

* Use "Free and Clear" shampoo and conditioner, or similar products free of sulphates.

* Emu Oil, Hemp Seed Oil, Flaxseed Oil, Almond Oil and/or Coconut oil applied generously and massaged into skin.

* Apple cider vinegar mixed with water in a spray bottle and misted on affected area three times daily.

* Add salt and apple cider vinegar to bath water.

* Avoid all soaps. Wash with warm water alone, or use a little baking soda.

* Pure jojoba oil.

* Vaseline mixed with honey.

* Soak affected area(s) in a strong brew of chamomile tea every day for about 10 minutes.

Also, eczema is often brought on by “external triggers” or things you come in contact with. One woman realized that her baby’s disposable diapers were causing her outbreaks, and opted for cloth instead. Analyze your daily practices and what you consume or touch. If you suspect certain things may be a culprit, try eliminating one item at a time for a week to narrow it down and help you heal much sooner.

<script

There’s nothing difficult about it, however. All you have to do is commit a few things to memory and then practice until it’s a habit.

1). It’s a good idea to gently comb or brush your hair before washing it, especially if you have tangles and/or styling product build-up. This also helps distribute natural oils throughout the length of your hair. If you have long hair, do not wad it up on top of your head to lather, as this causes tangles that will cause breakage to remove. Instead, lather it from top to bottom as it lays naturally. Gently massage the scalp while shampooing with your fingertips (Never your fingernails!) to increase circulation and promote new growth.

2.) This step isn’t absolutely necessary, but if you condition your hair before you wash it, it helps prevent the shampoo from stripping your hair by giving it something to wash out. This is most important if you shampoo frequently.

3.) After you shampoo and condition, use lukewarm water to rinse. Too warm or too cool can be stressful to your tresses. For added shine, add a spoonful of apple cider vinegar to your final rinse water.

4.) Never bunch up or scrub your hair with a towel to dry. This is extremely damaging. Just blot and scrunch your hair gently with a towel.

5.) Most importantly, never brush wet hair.

6.) Use a deep conditioner (or a home-made soak such as coconut oil, hemp seed oil, heated olive oil, or even vegetable oil; use what you have) at least once a week or whenever possible.

7.) Do not try to style hair that is wet, because that is when your hair is most elastic and prone to breakage. It’s a waste of time as well, because hair can’t hold a style until it is just barely damp. Don’t style by pulling and stretching your hair; always be as gentle as possible. Keep chemical treatments such as perms and color to a minimum. If you have fine hair, never perm AND color or you are likely to end up with brittle, frizzy, and broken hair. If you perm, don’t color and vice versa. Fine hair requires extra tender loving care in general.

8.) Finally, if you feed yourself you feed your hair. Hair needs to be nourished every few hours during your day, even if it’s just a piece of fruit or a light snack. Make sure you’re getting all your vitamins and minerals, as any deficiency in this area will definitely tell on you in the appearance of your hair.

Your hair is usually the first thing others notice about you, and it is your frame. It expresses your style and personality. If you do just a little for it, it can do so much more for you!
<script

If you jog, make sure your bra provides extremely good support so that gravity from the movements doesn't cause them to 'bob', which can lead to sagging.

Breasts, like the rest of our bodies, need balanced nutrients to remain supple, firm, and healthy. Be sure you're getting enough through your meals, and take a multi-vitamin for women if needed.

So, is that it? Basically, yes. The problem is most women just put on the bra and consider it done. No, no, no. You can't just let the bra hold your breasts however they happen to get arranged. To make the most of your bra and keep your breast firm and shapely, just take a minute to do the following:

*After you put on your bra, lean over at the waist to let gravity help. Ease a hand into the cup and adjust each breast (one at a time) as you would like it supported. Double check the straps to make sure you haven't moved them. After you are 'adjusted' as you should be, stand up and note the difference. This will really pay off over time, even if you feel a little silly at first during the process.*

(Added tip: Play it safe and use a plain deodorant or natural alternative in place of anti-perspirant. Anti-perspirant has been linked to breast cancer, although it isn't yet proven. Anti-perspirant clogs the pores and blocks the lymph nodes that are located beside the breasts near the armpits, which is the area where most breast cancers begin. Also, metal under-wire bras are also raising some eyebrows as to causing breast cancer, so throw them away just in case.)

Now, you're looking good! ( :
<script

You may need to try a few before you discover what works best for your unique skin’s needs.
Aspirin:
Crush Aspirin and add a little bit of Tea Tree Oil or Aloe Vera Gel (or a bit of water if you don't have the ingredients). You may want to heat this just a bit to dissolve the aspirin. Either apply directly to problem areas, or add more tea tree oil and aloe to make a mask. This will help cure in a short time, and remove the redness immediately.

Tea Tree Oil :
Wash face (or problem area) with a mild soap, and apply a thin layer of Tea Tree Oil. Let remain overnight.

Aloe Vera Gel :
Apply topically two to three times daily. This has a natural 'drying' effect, so you may need a light, oil-free moisturizer.

A few sources also proclaim that mixing Witch Hazel with Boric Acid will cure any skin breakouts. The exact recipe for mixing and application, however, varies greatly.

Milk Thistle and Aloe Vera:
Take 200mg of Milk Thistle and 1 capsule of Aloe Vera per day.

Eucalyptus Aromatherapy Oil:
Diluted with water and applied to problem areas, Eucalyptus oil is a big favorite among many.

Apple Cider Vinegar:
Take one to three tablespoons internally per day and/or apply directly to acne-prone areas.

Mashed Garlic:
Mash garlic and apply to body acne. It will burn, so do not apply to face and do not leave it on. Remove and clean skin after a few minutes. It also helps to eat garlic, or take garlic capsules.

Hydrogen Peroxide:
Apply to clean skin twice or more daily. Do not remove.

Anti-Perspirant/Deodorant:
Apply and leave on any problem area overnight. Dries acne and kills germs.
Sea-Salt:
Dissolve in water or mix with hydrogen peroxide. Apply liberally to clean skin and leave on.

Toothpaste:
Dab on pimples and leave overnight.

More than a few additional sources swear that applying your own urine to problem areas, beginning first thing in the morning, with cotton balls is safe and more effective than any remedy or product to completely cure acne. Use at your own discretion.

In Addition:
Be sure you're getting enough zinc in your diet. Avoid fried, high-fat, and junk foods as well as carbonated sodas as much as possible. The main food culprits are Coke, Pepsi, etc., caffeine, milk/dairy products, junk food, and corn syrup. Be sure to get adequate sleep and work in some daily exercise to keep your circulation going as it should.

<script

Be sure you're getting all your vitamins, especially the anti-aging antioxidants C, E, and Vitamin K.

Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil is the thick, pale yellow liquid taken from the seeds of a shrub that is cultivated in dry climates such as the deserts of the western United States. Because of its rich texture, it adds a denseness to skin lubricants and hair conditioners. Jojoba oil is actually a liquid wax which closely resembles the sebum produced by human skin. This makes the oil especially suitable for any skin type. Jojoba oil has a very long shelf life and is absorbed easily by all skin types.

Shea Cream or Butter
Shea Cream is a rich concoction made with liquid shea butter. Unlike typical shea butter, liquid shea butter is not solid at room temperature. Instead, it''s more the consistency of jojoba oil, and it makes an ultra-thick cream all its own. This Shea Cream is unscented for simplicity, but you can add a total of about 25 drops of essential or fragrance oil of your choice for scent.

The following I have yet to try, but are hailed by many:

Flax Seed Oil (Internally):
Take 1 tablespoon of fresh flax seed oil 4 times a day, starting when you wake up. According to Flax Seed enthusiasts, in one day you will notice that your forehead wrinkles are disappearing. Start with a smaller dosage if you aren't used to taking flax seed oil, as it may cause diarrhea.

Emu oil and Aloe Vera Gel: (Topical Application)
Will help cure wrinkles, pimples, dry skin, flaky complexion, dull skin etc. (according to many) Use 100% pure emu oil and concentrated aloe-vera juice/gel to moisten the epidermis of the skin and make skin glow. The aloe tightens the pores and diminishes wrinkles. the EMU OIL has a very small molecule, almost identical the body's own sebum, which can reach deep within the epidermal layers and plump skin, both improving skin tone and overall texture (exact recipes for usage are not given).

Extra Tip: Invest in a satin pillowcase to prevent causing wrinkles while you sleep. It really works, and helps keep your hair from getting mussed up as well.
<script

I would be terribly remiss if I didn't share this one with anyone who suffers from allergies and other ailments.

The problem is finding the right daily amount for yourself, and managing to stomach the taste. Some sources say one teaspoon a day is sufficient, others say three tablespoons and so on. What works for me is about two tablespoons a day, either mixed in eight-ounces of water which is gulped down all at once, or mixed into a glass of sweetened tea. But once it's down, you're done for the day and can reap the benefits. Mixed with local honey, it can completely cure most allergies!

Additionally, beauty-wise, it gives a healthy, rosy glow to the complexion, which is especially great for those with paler skin tones.

OTHER NOTED APPLE CIDER VINEGAR CURES:

Sinus infections, Acne, High cholesterol, High Blood Pressure, Flu, Chronic Fatigue, Candida,
Acid reflux, Sore throats, Contact dermatitis, Arthritis, and Gout (to name a few).

(ACV for Animals: controls fleas & barn flies, and gives coat a beautiful shine as well as many of the benefits to humans.)

LOCAL HONEY:

Local honey will completely cure allergies for many people because the bees create an immunity for the user from the local pollens. Store bought honey is good for you, but only local honey will take care of the allergies. Dosage is one-three tablespoons daily, and it's best to begin taking it very early in the allergy season, or even before if possible.

Many herbalists and believers in home remedies will also tell you to make a "tea" of honey, apple cider vinegar and hot water at the first cough or sign of a cold (or any other minor ailments), and drink two-three times daily. The first day may be all you need.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS OF HONEY:

Fights Fatigue, Calms Anxiety and Nervous Tension, Promotes Restful Sleep, Keeps Skin Soft and Hair Healthy, Helps Hair Grow, Helps Heal Burns (applied topically and covered with bandage), Helps Asthma (mix 1 tsp. honey with 1/2 tsp. cinnamon & take at bedtime), Relieves Hang-Overs (Eaten on Toast), Helps stop Vomiting, Helps Diaper Rash Heal, Helps Cure Keloids, Scars & Burns, Helps Heal Acne & Cuts, Prevents or helps with Acid Reflux, makes a great Facial Mask, and much, much more.

Word of Warning:
Pregnant women and children under two years of age should not consume honey, as well as anyone who is allergic to honey.

Toast!
<script

I have been busily searching out their secrets and the answers I have received are various, but there are a few in common with almost all of them:

Milk of Magnesia (plain, not flavored). This confused me. "Must I have constant diarrhea," I asked. That was met with a chuckle. The best answer I can get is to use it inside and out, more outside than in. So, I tried using it as a mask after cleansing, leaving it on until it dried, and then wiping it gently away with a soft damp cloth. Immediate results! I kid you not, I looked and felt so much fresher and younger. The more often you do this the better. The goal is to remove toxins from the skin, and we all know toxins attribute greatly to signs of aging.

A noted celebrity was famous for her monthly enemas. She was also exalted for her beauty. It seems a good bout of 'cleaning yourself from the inside' about once a month can prevent internal toxins from settling into your skin as well. (Too frequent use of any laxative can cause dependency, use with caution.)

A few others opt for Castor Oil instead of M.O.M. The suggested use is to clean and dry your face and neck at night, massage in castor oil using upward, circular motions (concentrating on wrinkles and crowsfeet), then leave it on all night. Plus, castor oil moisturizes as well. (If, after massaging, your skin feels too oily for comfort, press the area with a soft facial tissue; don't wipe off the ointment.)

Fiber Therapy is another means of cleaning yourself from the inside, and can be used on a regular, daily basis to promote health as well as beauty. It also aids in weight loss by helping you feel fuller longer, thus decreasing your caloric intake and curbing cravings. 28 to 38 grams per day is the recommended intake, and most of us don't even consume half that amount.

You can find plenty of commercial fiber powders or capsules. The best option is to eat fiber rich foods such as dried beans, raspberries, strawberries, cherries, blackberries, apples with skin, potatoes with skin, broccoli, bran cereals, peanuts, almonds, brown rice, oatmeal, vegetables, etc. The health benefits of fiber are immeasurable.

This all makes sense if you think about it. Clean yourself out inside occasionally, and use a mask to remove toxins from the outside. I fit this into my regime as often as I can.

Give it a try!
<script

For maximum results, make sure you purchase only extra-virgin, preferably organic, to prevent using an inferior oil. It absorbs almost instantly. Blot off (don't rub or remove) if you've applied too heavily, then let absorb for about five minutes before applying makeup.

When moisturizing and protecting yourself from signs of age, don't forget your neck (the first place to show age in most people) and earlobes. This is Very important, and you will be rewarded for the effort.

Additional Benefits of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil:

WEIGHT LOSS:
Promotes loss of excess weight by increasing metabolic rate; Is utilized by the body to produce energy in preference to being stored as body fat like other dietary fats; Helps prevent obesity and overweight problems. The typical amount to take internally per day is 3 TBSP. It is recommended that you take 1 TBS with every meal. (also increases circulation) EVCO is found in many 'energy bars.' (EVCO may raise blood pressure in some individuals; not recommended for those with high blood pressure.)

HAIR/BEAUTY
Promotes healthy looking hair; Provides protection from damaging effects of ultraviolet radiation from the sun.; Helps control dandruff.

Additionally: Massaged into feet and applied to calves, it reduces tiredness and aching muscles. I truly believe that it helps prevent and cure vericose veins as well.

Enjoy!
<script

You know your skin and its particular needs better than anyone. It will take some trial and error on your part to find the 'just right" oil, cream or lotion for your unique skin.

You may also find yourself mixing oils and lotions for multiple needs, and using various creams/oils on different body parts. That's perfect, and means you've done your homework! You may also find that you need to alter your moisturizer with the seasons and/or over time.

In the following posts, I will address different natural means of moisture and their cited uses. I will only list those I believe, through trial, error and research, to be the best and most effective. There are innumerable essential oils to choose from for various purposes, and almost as many skin ailments and variations. If you're looking for something I have not addressed, please contact me.

You may also want to visit the following link and try the search bar. I'm not affiliated with this site or the owners, but it provides a lot of information to cipher through: http://www.earthclinic.com/index.html

If you prefer a commercial brand, you may want to consider mixing it with natural oil(s) for added results. Think about your needs, what you would like to accomplish or change, then spoil your skin by keeping it moist, protected and glowing.
<script

But you can do this with ingredients from your own kitchen! The most recommended item I've found is baking soda, but I find ordinary sugar much more effective.

After cleansing, while your face is still wet, pour raw, granulated sugar into the palm of your hand and apply to your face. Gently rub in a circular, upward and outward motion, avoiding the tender eye area. Once you've covered all the area (remember your neck and chest) let the sugar sit until it dissolves, or a couple of minutes. Since sugar is also an acid, you will get additional benefits from using it as a 'mask.'

All things in moderation. Do NOT do this everyday, it's unnecessary and too much of a good thing can be damaging. But be sure to do so at least once or twice a week. You'll notice the results right away.

Next step is... Moisturizing.
<script

Of course not. But if your skin isn't properly cleaned, nothing you apply externally can achieve its maximum results, and your makeup will look less than alluring. If not properly cleaned over time, your pores will become larger, which makes skin much less attractive.

What to clean with? I'm not going to get all picky on this issue. Use a gentle cleanser that suits your personal needs (acne-prone, oily, dry, etc.), and be especially gentle always around the eyes. Clean thoroughly, and finish with a splash of cold water to close the pores. Dry your face by dabbing and blotting, never scrub your face (or hair) with a towel. Never, ever, ever use deodorant soap on your face. I personally recommend glycerin soap or unscented Dove.

It is said that Vitamin C is vital to healthy, young-looking skin, but you don't have to pay the beauty industry for it. Just soak a cotton ball in a bit of lemon juice and use it as an astringent before moisturizing (It will burn a little if you're not used to it). Lemon juice will also seem diminish the size of pores. Voila! you've just saved money and made a step toward increased beauty.

(Added tip: Vitamins C & E are also known anti-aging antioxidants. Be sure you're getting enough internally as well.)
<script

Never once have they used Botox or had any cosmetic surgery. Some of what they will tell you to do to maintain your beauty is common sense. But they do have secrets that are hard to badger out of them... But it can be done *winks*.

Many sites will tell you all sorts of supposed 'beauty secrets.' Some even work. The problem is they seldom tell you exactly how to go about using the remedies, and they cite so many sources you don't know who is giving you the best advice.

I've been researching this topic for several years, as well as a few friends who have been my 'fellow guinea pigs.' By using this site, you will save money and time, because I will only list what I consider "tried and true." And believe me, I've either seen the results for myself, or I've probably heard of it, tried it, and dismissed it as another wasted effort.

My sources are so varied that I will seldom list them to avoid you the trouble of excess reading. Some of my sources do not wish to be revealed. I will seldom recommend 'products' that aren't completely natural and sold by many organic retailers, so don't worry: I'm not trying to sale you anything.

It is best to use only one new "natural remedy" at a time to rule out any allergic reactions, sensitivities, etc. Please always bear this in mind and take things one step at a time. And always remember that health and beauty are intertwined like an eternal chain: What affects one will show in the other. So eat well, exercise, socialize, love, laugh, don't smoke, don't drink alcohol in access... You know the drill.

If you don't find what you're looking for, please comment or contact me, and I will do my best to help you.

I dedicate this site to my daughters. May you live long, healthy, happy lives filled with beauty and joy.

"The Fountain of Youth is not one cool, aqua brook in which you may lazily immerse yourself. Instead, it is more of a witch's cauldron filled with God's creation, and constantly stirred by the spoon of knowledge and dilligent application." -- Me

<script
