Penggunaan Baju batik tidak langsung membuat anda akan terlihat elegan. oleh sebab itu setiap orang memiliki aktivitas, karakter serta bentuk tubuh yang berbeda-beda. Masing-masing menampilkan kesan yang berbeda pula.

Perlu diketahui bahwa tidak semua batik itu bagus,terkadang kelihatan bagus ternyata bukan buatan indonesiajustru merek eksport padahal batik adalah asli buatan indonesia jadi trik yang pertama adalah

1. Pilih produk dala negeri walaupun agak mahal sedikit paling tidak bisa mensejahteraan orang indonesia ( I love Indonesia)

2. Gunakan model baju batik yang sesuai dengan acara formal, casual, ke kantor, berbelanja, atau acara keluarga.

3. Baiknya, serasikan motif batik dengan padanan yang berdetail ringan (warna polos dan cutting yang simpel) untuk mendapatkan tampilan yang seimbang.

4. Pakailah aksesori yang berwarna senada dengan baju batik anda.

5. gunakan aksesori simpel untuk Anda yang beraktivitas tinggi sekali lagi yang sesuai dengan dandanan baju batik anda.

6. Motif baju batik dapat dipadukan dengan motif lurik atau kotak-kotak. bagi muslimah jangan lupamenggunakan bawahan yang serasi warna ataupun bentuknya

7. Bagi yang memiliki leher jenjang, coba pakai kerah mandarin agar leher Anda semakin terlihat memesona.

8. Bukan suatu masalah memadankan dua motif batik dalam satu padanan. Carilah warna yang senada dengan motif yang hampir serupa.

AutoCAD is a CAD (Computer Aided Design or Computer Aided Drafting) software application for 2D and 3D design and drafting. It was developed and sold by Autodesk, Inc. First released in December 1982, AutoCAD was one of the first CAD programs to run on personal computers, notably the IBM PC. At that time, most other CAD programs ran on mainframe computers or mini-computers which were connected to a graphics computer terminal for each user.

Early releases of AutoCAD used primitive entities — lines, polylines, circles, arcs, and text — to construct more complex objects. Since the mid-1990s, AutoCAD has supported custom objects through its C++ Application Programming Interface (API). Modern AutoCAD includes a full set of basic solid modeling and 3D tools. With the release of AutoCAD 2007 came improved 3D modeling, which meant better navigation when working in 3D. Moreover, it became easier to edit 3D models. The mental ray engine was included in rendering, it was now possible to do quality renderings. AutoCAD 2010 introduced parametric functionality and mesh modeling.

AutoCAD supports a number of APIs for customization and automation. These include AutoLISP, Visual LISP, VBA, .NET and ObjectARX. ObjectARX is a C++ class library, which was also the base for products extending AutoCAD functionality to specific fields, to create products such as AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or third-party AutoCAD-based applications.

AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT are available for English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Russian, Czech, Polish, Hungarian, Brazilian Portuguese, Danish, Dutch, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Vietnamese. The extent of localization varies from full translation of the product to documentation only. The AutoCAD command set is localized as a part of the software localization.AutoCAD

AutoCAD Origin

AutoCAD was derived from a program called Interact, which was written in a proprietary language (SPL) and ran on the Marinchip Systems 9900 computer (Marinchip was owned by Autodesk co-founders John Walker and Dan Drake.)

When Marinchip Software Partners (later to be renamed Autodesk) was formed, they decided to re-code Interact in C and PL/1 -- C, because it seemed to be the biggest upcoming language, and PL/1. In the end, the PL/1 version was unsuccessful. The C version was, at the time, one of the most complex programs in that language to date. Autodesk even had to work with the compiler developer (Lattice) to fix certain limitations to get AutoCAD to run.[1]

AutoCAD LT is a lower cost version of AutoCAD with reduced capabilities first released in November 1993. AutoCAD LT, priced at $495, became the first product in the company's history priced below $1000 to bear the name 'AutoCAD'. In addition to being sold directly by Autodesk, it can also be purchased at computer stores, unlike the full version of AutoCAD which must be purchased from official Autodesk dealers. Autodesk developed AutoCAD LT so that they would have an entry-level CAD package to compete in the lower price level.

As of the 2011 release the AutoCAD LT MSRP has risen to $1200. While there are hundreds of small differences between the full AutoCAD package and AutoCAD LT, currently there are four recognized major differences in the software's features, being:

1. 3D Capabilities: AutoCAD LT lacks the ability to create 3D models & drawings.
2. Network Licensing: AutoCAD LT cannot be used on multiple machines over a network.
3. LISP Programing: AutoCAD LT does not run LISP routines & code.
4. 3rd Party Packages: AutoCAD LT will not run 3rd party add-on software.

Built on the AutoCAD platform, AutoCAD Freestyle is a simplified, low-cost (US$149) application that makes it easy to create accurate, professional-looking 2D drawings and sketches.

AutoCAD is licensed at a significant discount over commercial retail pricing to qualifying students and teachers, with a 14 month license available. The student version of AutoCAD is functionally identical to the full commercial version, with one exception: DWG files created or edited by a student version have an internal bit-flag set (the "educational flag"). When such a DWG file is printed by any version of AutoCAD (commercial or student), the output will include a plot stamp / banner on all four sides. Objects created in the Student Version cannot be used for commercial use. These Student Version objects will 'infect' a commercial version DWG file if imported[2].

The Autodesk student community provides registered students with free access to different Autodesk applications.

Autodesk has also developed a few vertical programs, for discipline-specific enhancements. AutoCAD Architecture (formerly Architectural Desktop), for example, permits architectural designers to draw 3D objects such as walls, doors and windows, with more intelligent data associated with them, rather than simple objects such as lines and circles. The data can be programmed to represent specific architectural products sold in the construction industry, or extracted into a data file for pricing, materials estimation, and other values related to the objects represented. Additional tools allow designers to generate standard 2D drawings, such as elevations and sections, from a 3D architectural model. Similarly, Civil Design, Civil Design 3D, and Civil Design Professional allow data-specific objects to be used, allowing standard civil engineering calculations to be made and represented easily. AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Map 3D, AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD P&ID, AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD Structural Detailing are other examples of industry-specific CAD applications built on the AutoCAD platform.

AutoCAD's native file format, DWG, and to a lesser extent, its interchange file format, DXF, have become de facto standards for CAD data interoperability. AutoCAD in recent years has included support for DWF, a format developed and promoted by Autodesk for publishing CAD data. In 2006, Autodesk estimated the number of active DWG files to be in excess of one billion.

In the past, Autodesk has estimated the total number of DWG files in existence to be more than three billion.[3]

JAKARTA--MI: Petugas dari Direktorat II Ekonomi Khusus (Eksus) Bareskrim Polri berhasil menindak PT KDK, sebuah perusahaan konsultan arsitektur yang berada di bilangan Pasar Minggu Jakarta Selatan sebagai pelaku penggunaan piranti lunak (software) bajakan jenis AutoCAD pada 16 Februari 2009.

Penindakan tersebut dilakukan berdasarkan laporan dari Business Software Alliance (BAS) dan Autodesk sebagai produsen software dunia dari Amerika serikat yang memproduksi AutoCAd atas maraknya penggunaan software mereka oleh perusahaan yang tidak memiliki lisensi.

AutoCAD sendiri adalah software aplikasi desain untuk rancang bangun, konstruksi, bangunan serta media dan entertainment yang hak ciptanya dimiliki oleh Autodesk. Benhard P.Sibarani selaku kuasa hukum Autodesk, mengatakan nilai total kerugian akibat penggunaannya secara illegal itu sangat besar mengingat dari kegunaan software AutoCAD tersebut.

Ronald Chua, Licence Compliance Manager Asia Tenggara Autodesk Pte Ltd, menambahkan potensi kerugian yang diderita akibat penggunaan AutoCad ilegal ditaksir sebesar US$ 411 juta, “Nilai kerugian ini kecenderungannya akan meningkat, “ kata Ronald dalam jumpa pers, kemarin (24/2) di Jakarta.

Autodesk merupakan salah satu vendor software yang paling laku dibajak di Indonesia. Bahkan, jika dilihat dari rata-rata perusahaan yang dirazia, 70 persen software Autodesk yang digunakan tidak berlisensi. "Sementara yang berlisensi paling hanya 30 persen," ujar Benhard.

Sementara itu, AKBP Rusharyanto selaku penyidik dari Unit I Perindustrian dan Perdagangan (Indag) Direktorat II Eksus Bareskrim Polri menjelaskan, Polri, telah menindak PT KDK, perusahaan konsultan arsitektur, karena menggunakan produk AutoCAD ilegal, “Saat ini kasus tersebut sedang dalam tahap pemeriksaaan. Saya perkirakan akan segera dilimpahkan ke jaksaaan karena proses pemeriksaannya sudah hampir selesai,” katanya.

Menurut dia, kasus software di Indonesia masih unik sehingga pihak kepolisian selalu meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam menyelidiki dan menyidik kasus terkait software, “Polri sudah berusaha memberikan pelatihan kepada kesatuan kewilayahan melalui pendidikan kejuruan resmi. Kemudian juga ada penyuluhan langsung atau workshop ke kepolisian daerah seperti Jabar, Jateng, Jatim, Yogyakarta dan Batam, “ paparnya.

Selain itu, lanjutnya, polisi juga sudah melakukan sosialisasi kepada seluruh unsure penegak hokum seperti penyidik, pihak kejaksaan, pengadilan dan ppns (penyidik pegawai negeri sipil) dari seluruh Indonesia, “Sebagian besar sangat awam mengenai pembuktian digital, “ imbuhnya.

AutoCAD adalah perangkat lunak komputer CAD untuk menggambar 2 dimensi dan 3 dimensi yang dikembangkan oleh Autodesk. Keluarga produk AutoCAD, secara keseluruhan, adalah software CAD yang paling banyak digunakan di dunia.

AutoCAD digunakan oleh insinyur sipil, land developers, arsitek, insinyur mesin, desainer interior dan lain-lain.

Format data asli AutoCAD, DWG, dan yang lebih tidak populer, Format data yang bisa dipertukarkan (interchange file format) DXF, secara de facto menjadi standard data CAD. Akhir-akhir ini AutoCAD sudah mendukung DWF, sebuah format yang diterbitkan dan dipromosikan oleh Autodesk untuk mempublikasikan data CAD.

AutoCAD saat ini hanya berjalan disistem operasi Microsoft. Versi untuk Unix dan Macintosh sempat dikeluarkan tahun 1980-an dan 1990-an, tetapi kemudian tidak dilanjutkan. AutoCAD masih bisa berjalan di emulator seperti Virtual PC atau Wine.

AutoCAD LT adalah versi ringan dari AutoCAD. Berharga lebih murah (sekitar USD $900 USD versus sekitar USD $4,000 untuk AutoCAD versi lengkap). AutoCAD LT diciptakan oleh Autodesk untuk para pengguna yang hanya berminat untuk menggambar 2 dimensi saja, tetapi AutoCAD LT masih mempunyai kemampuan untuk melihat gambar 3 dimensi tanapa mampu merubahnya.

AutoCAD memberikan potongan harga yang besar bagi penggunaan AutoCAD utuk pendidikan (pelajar dan pengajar), baik lisensi 14 bulan maupun lisensi perpetual tersedia. AutoCAD versi pelajar ini emmpunyai fungsi yang sama dengan AutoCAD versi komersial lengkap, perbedaannya hayalah, pada versi pelajar setiap data DWG yang dihasilkan atau di rubah terdapat data bendera internal (bendera pendidikan). Kalau gambar ini dicetak , maka pada gambar tersebut akan terdapat cetakan atau banner dikeempat sisi gambar yang menjelaskan bahwa gamabar ini diproduksi dari AutoCAD versi pelajar. Gambar yang dihasilkan dari AutoCAD versi pelajar dilarang digunakan untuk keperluan komersial.

Autodesk juga mengmembangkan beberapa program vertikal dari AutoCAD untuk beberapa disiplin khusus.Contohnya AutoCAD Architecture (sebelumnya disebut Architectural Desktop), memungkinkan arsitek untuk menggambar obyek 3 dimensi dari tembok, pintu, jendela, dengan data yang lebih cerdas berhubungan langsung dengan obyek tersebut, daripada obyk sederhana seperti gambar garis dan lingkaran saja. that computer-aided drafting usually goes by the much friendlier acronym

The AutoCAD & AutoCAD LT All-in-One Desk Reference For Dummies is
aimed at AutoCAD users in every discipline ó architecture, mechanical
design, mapping and GIS, product design, survey and civil engineering,
diagramming . . . whatever your field, youíll find useful information here.
We cover the entire CAD workflow process, not forgetting that 90 percent
of the time, what you need to produce at the far end of the workflow is a
clear and well laid-out paper drawing.
Using CAD in the Drawing Office
Personal computers revolutionized the drafting trade in the 1980s. Before
that, some drafting was computerized, but the computers were mainframes
or minicomputers (equivalent to the Stanley Steamers and Baker Electrics of
the early days of motoring), well beyond the price range of most small archi-
tectural or engineering firms.
As a result, even as recently as 30 years ago, virtually all drafting was done
by grizzled veterans wearing green eye-shades in smoke-filled back rooms.
And not on computers!In the old days, apprentice drafters (who were called draftsmen ó or even
draughtsmen ó for it was a male profession) started their careers on the
boards as tracers. Hard to believe, but there was a time before mechanical
reproduction when every copy of an engineering drawing had to be traced,
by hand, from an original. If youíre being forced to learn AutoCAD, you may
grumble, but you should be thankful you donít have to go through a proce-
dure like that!
Today, your job is much easier because of AutoCAD. Maybe your boss is
making you use AutoCAD, or you have to pass a course. But there are other
reasons to use it ó some of which may help you pass that course or get
home from the office a little earlier. Here are some CAD advantages: Precision. AutoCAD is capable of precision to 14 significant digits (ask
your math prof or your counselor why one digit should be more signifi-
cant than another). Thatís way more precise than the best manual
drafter could ever be. Appearance. AutoCAD-produced drawings are cleaner, easier to read
when reduced, and more consistent than manually drafted drawings. Reuse. Itís easy to copy and paste parts of drawings into other drawings
for use in new projects. Scalability. You draw things full-size in AutoCAD on an infinitely large
drawing sheet. This not only eliminates the possibility of scaling errors
as you draw, it also lets you print your drawings at any scale. Sharing work. Drawing files can be shared with consultants and con-
tractors who can add their own information without having to redraft
the whole drawing. Distributing work. No more running dozens of prints and having them
couriered to clients ó using AutoCAD you can electronically transmit
drawings via e-mail or upload them to shared Web space. 3D benefits. Youíre not limited to 2D space; AutoCADís drawing space is
three-dimensional so you can create models of your projects and gener-
ate drawings from them.
Understanding AutoCAD Files and Formats
Like every other computer program under the sun, AutoCAD has its own digi-
tal file format. Unlike a Paint program, where the image is created by series of
dots, CAD programs store the locations of objects in a database format. Every
object in a drawing file ó every line, arc, circle, dimension, and so on óis
located in the 2D or 3D drawing space using a Cartesian coordinate system.

Parts of a VBA Project
A VBA project can be as simple as one class module called ThisDrawing and
three lines of code, or as complex as a project that might include UserForm
and both standard and class modules. The solution that is being developed
determines the type of modules that will be a part of the final project. The
following sections outline what the different modules in a project are and
what is contained in each module.Standard code module
Standard code modules are used to store procedures, data types, variables,
and functions that are accessed by other modules in the project. Code
modules should be used to hold reusable code that can be used in future
projects or called from multiple places in a project. This concept is called
modular programming. It helps to avoid redundant code and also gives you
the ability to reuse the code in other, similar projects.
Class code module
Class code modules are used to store procedures and properties that define
a user-defined class. A user-defined class allows you to create your own
object for storing information or manipulating other objects, similar to the
way AutoCAD uses objects. All AutoCAD VBA projects contain a special class
module called ThisDrawing. The ThisDrawing class represents the object
that defines the current drawing in the AutoCAD session. Although you can
create your own classes with VBA, you donít often need to do it.
Procedures (subroutine or function)
A procedure is a block, or group, of code that is given a name so it can be
referenced easily in a project. The two different types of procedures are
sub and function. A sub, or subroutine, is a type of procedure that does not
return a result; a function returns a single result after the procedure has
completed all tasks and computations. Procedures to manipulate objects or
return information about an object can be found throughout the AutoCAD
Object Library. Some examples of procedures are

A variable is a way to store data in memory for use later, to hold the value
of an argument that is passed into a procedure, or to capture the returning

value of a function. To use a variable, you should first use the
to dimension (or declare) the variable as a specific data type. Declaring the
variable as a specific type helps the editor to check the data integrity of the
code when it is being executed and debugged.
Variables can be defined locally within a given procedure or module and
globally at a module level. For most data types, you only need to dimension
the variable and assign the value that you want stored with it. Some exam-
ples of variables are

Data types are used to describe what type of data a variable holds; only a
single data type can be assigned to a variable at one time. By default, when

cases based on the type of information that is being passed in.

The basics of working with objects
You may encounter objects throughout the use of the AutoCAD Object Library
and when working with UserForms and controls. Objects come in two different
distinct types: objects and collections.
Objects exist as individuals and as part of a group containing many objects
of the same kind. The group of objects is referred to as a collection. The first
object that you encountered when you opened the Visual Basic Editor is
ThisDrawing, which is an example of an individual object. ThisDrawing rep-
resents an object of the data type AcadDocument. ThisDrawing is an object
that represents the current drawing and is part of a collection that contains
all open drawings in the application called AcadDocuments, which is part of
the AcadApplication object.
Now that you are familiar with one type of object, you must know how to inter-
act with it. After you have a reference to an object, you use a dot to access its
properties or methods. At times, you are accessing an object below the cur-
rent object that you are referencing. The following syntax represents how to
access the properties and methods of an individual object and not one that is
part of a collection. The syntax shows a space before and after the dot for
readability, but there are no spaces on either side of the dot when writing the
line in a code window:

ThisDrawing.ModelSpace.AddLine dPT1, dPT2If you need to access an object that is part of a collection, you need to do a
little more work. Objects contained in a collection have to be accessed in a
slightly different way. Objects contained in a collection are indexed and are
accessible by using their unique names or a number in most cases. The
index is the order in which the items are added to the collection and is simi-
lar to a street address for a house. All houses have unique street numbers,
so they can get their mail; indexes for collections work the same way. Most
collections begin with an index of 0; however, some start with an index of 1.
The collection works the same whether the first item of the collection starts
at 0 or 1. (Really itís what the programmer felt like using that day for the first
itemís index.) Here are a few examples of how to access a layer from the
Layers collection in a drawing.
ThisDrawing.ActiveLayer = ThisDrawing.Layers(0)
ThisDrawing.ActiveLayer = ThisDrawing.Layers(1)
As mentioned earlier, the Set statement must be used to store a reference to
the object in a variable:

Adding comments
A comment is a line or series of lines in a code module that do not get exe-
cuted. A comment can be used to identify what is taking place in a procedure
or may consist of a general note at the top of the module that includes gen-
eral revision and author information. An apostrophe () or single quote
mark is placed at the front of a text string to designate it as a comment. By
default, a comment appears in the color green within the Visual Basic Editor.

Introducing the AutoCAD Object Model
The AutoCAD Object Model is the organizational structure that is used to
navigate the Object Library. The AutoCAD Object Model (see Figure 4-11) is
very large; only a small portion is shown here.

At the top of the AutoCAD Object Model is the Application; below that are
the Preferences and Documents collections. You can identify that they are
collections because their names end with s. Just below the Documents col-
lection are the Document objects; this is the level that ThisDrawing repre-
sents in the object model. To give you an idea of what each Document is
made up of, the following properties and methods, and many others, are
part of the Document object: ActiveLayer: Property to set and return the current layer. FullName: Property to return the drawingís name with path. Blocks: Method returns a reference to the AcadBlocks collection. SaveAs: Method used to save the drawing with a different name or
location.
These steps show you how to open the AutoCAD Object Model Map in the
AutoCAD Online Help system:
1. From the Help menu in the AutoCAD, choose Additional Resources
Developer.
2. Click the Contents tab and expand ActiveX and VBA Reference.
3. Select Object Model just below ActiveX and VBA Reference on the
Contents tab.
Create a basic VBA project
If youíve come this far, you should be ready to build a small VBA project to
add a line in the current drawing.

The following procedures describe how to create a new empty VBA project:
1. From the Tools menu, choose MacroVBA Manager.
The VBA Manager dialog box should now be displayed.
2. Click the New button on the right side of the dialog box.
If no projects were previously loaded, a new project named ACADProject
is added to the Projects list box with the location of Global1.
3. Select the new project in the Projects list box.
4. Click the Save As button on the right side of the dialog box.
The Save As dialog box is displayed, allowing you to specify a filename
and location for the new VBA project.
5. Browse to the My Documents folder using the Save In drop-down list.
6. Enter FirstVBAProject in the File Name field of the Save As dialog box.
7. Click the Save button in the Save As dialog box.
The empty VBA project is saved to the My Documents folder. The loca-
tion and filename that the project is saved to are reflected in the VBA
Manager dialog box under the Location column.
Working with the new VBA project in the editor
Here is how to launch the Visual Basic Editor and work in the new project:
1. Select the new project in the Projects list box.
2. Click the Visual Basic Editor button on the bottom of the VBA Manager
dialog box.
The Visual Basic Editor should be launched and be displayed on-screen.
If it is not brought up on-screen, check the Windows taskbar to see
whether it is minimized.
3. In the Project Explorer, select the top node ACADProject, which repre-
sents the project.
In the Properties window (see Figure 4-12), the properties for the project
should be listed. A project has one property that can be modified from
the Properties window, and that is Name.
4. Highlight the current value of ACADProject in the Name field in the
Properties Window and enter FirstVBAProject.
This changes the name that appears in the VBA Manager dialog box and
the Macros dialog box. Using a unique name lets you distinguish the
project from other loaded projects.

5. Right-click in the Project Explorer and choose InsertModule.
A new standard code module named Module1 is added to the project.
You should also notice that a new folder named Modules is automati-
cally created under the project. All standard code modules that are
imported or created in the project are added to this folder.
6. Select Module1 from the Project Explorer and change the Name prop-
erty for Module1 to basDraw through the Properties window.
A project can have more than one module, so it is a good idea to give
each module a unique name. If you wanted to use the module in a differ-
ent project, you would want to make sure it was imported with a unique
name; otherwise, it canít be imported into a project if that name is
already in use. The project and standard code module should both be
renamed now (see Figure 4-13).

Adding a new procedure to a code module
These steps describe how to create a new procedure in a code module:
1. Click in the Code window for the new code module.
A code window should have opened up automatically when the new
code module was added. If not, double-click on basDraw in the Project
Explorer for the project. Clicking in the code window sets the focus to
the code window or at the desired location within the code window.
2. From the Insert menu in the Visual Basic Editor, choose Procedure.
This launches the Add Procedure dialog box (see Figure 4-14).

3. Enter DrawLine in the Name field.
The name entered is what will be used by the Macros dialog box and the
-VBARUN command or will be used to call the subroutine from another
location in the code.
4. Click Sub under the Type section.

Pada sat menggambar dengan pointer , AutoCAD mengatur perubahan koordinat pointer sesuai dengan ukuran pixel pada layar yang seddang ditampilkan. Keadaan ini dapat menyulitkan kita pada saat menggambarkan obyek-obyek gambar dengan ukuran-ukuran yang tepat (misalnya pada saat menggambar garis koordinat 1.0000;1.0000 s/d 4.0000;5.0000)
Untuk mengatasai masalah tersebut, AutoCAD menyediakan sarana SNAP yang dapat digunakan untuk mengatur gerakan pointer AutoCAD sesuai dengan perubahan yang dikehendaki

Pada keadaaan SNAP OFF, gerakan pointer akan mengikuti kecermatan pixel pada layar gamabar Auto CAD yang sedang ditampilkan

Anda dapat mengatur perbedan kecermatan gerakan horisontal dan vertikal pada pointer AutoCAD dengan memberikan nilai yang berbeda pada Horisontal dan vertical aspect.

So also in the case of Islam, where you need to get information about it from the most authentic sources. Then only can you judge Islam as well as Muslims as to how they really compare with the followers of other religions, or how they fare in their observance of this Great Religion.

Islam is the religion decreed for mankind by God*, Who revealed it to His prophets; and they in turn, taught it to the people around them. The word, Islam means 'Peace' and also 'Submission to the Will of God'. From the beginning of mankind on the face of the earth, revelations came to God’s chosen prophets; and the first prophet was the first man, Adam and the last Prophet was Prophet Muhammad, (peace be upon him), through whom the Religion of God was perfected. And in between, thousands of prophets came to the peoples who inhabited different lands in different periods of history. The Holy Qur’an, the Scripture of Muslims, mentions by name only twenty five of these prophets, of whom the most important are Abraham (Ibraheem [pbuh]), Moses (Moosa [pbuh]), David (Dawood [pbuh]), Jesus (Eesa [pbuh]) and Muhammad [pbuh].

All these prophets of God taught basically the same message of Islam to their people.

The word “Islam” today is mostly used to refer to the final form of the Religion of God taught by the last prophet, Muhammad (pbuh). It is often counted as the latest of the three monotheistic religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. In this sense, Islam emerged in the Arabian peninsula, which we know today as Saudi Arabia, in 612 C.E. through Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Judaism is believed to be based on the teachings and the laws of Prophet Moses, while Christianity is said to take its social and moral codes from the teachings of Prophet Jesus. All three religions are believed to have their roots in the teachings of the patriarch Abraham, who also was a great Prophet of God.

The Holy Qur'an states in Chapter 2 (verses, 124-130), that God appointed Abraham an Imam or leader to the people. But when he prayed to God to bless his children too, God answered that He would bless only the good among them and not the evil doers. And God took a covenant from Abraham and his son Ishmael (Isma’eel [pbuh]) to sanctify the House of God (that is Ka'aba) at Makkah, for those who come to pray there and compass it around. And Abraham prayed again to make his children Muslims or people obedient to God; and also to send among them a Messenger who would rehearse God's signs to them and instruct them in scripture and wisdom and purify them.

In answer to this prayer of Abraham, God sent a Messenger to the Land of Ka'ba from among Abraham's own children, and he was the Last Prophet of God, Muhammad (Peace be on him).

And it was through Muhammad (peace be upon him), that the Guidance of God for mankind was completed and perfected. Muhammad (peace be on him) taught the people, the Book of God called the Qur'an, and instructed them as to how they should lead a life in Submission to God. The details of the Guidance of God exemplified in the life of the Prophet, are called the Sunnah or the Example of the Prophet. The Qur'an and the Sunnah together form the foundation of Islam; and it is on this foundation that the Great House of Islam stands.
