German tuners Prior Design just released their latest update to to the Audi R8. Applied to either the V8 or V10 version of the supercar, Prior Design’s version includes a new body kit including a front spoiler, brand new hood, body-color side blade, as well as a new front bumper, side skirts, and carbon fiber rear diffuser.

In the interior, Prior gave the R8 a carbon fiber center console, control panel, and handbrake, along with contrasting red carbon fiber components in the engine bay. Prior also developed their own 20-inch wheels, which I must say look very good.

Pricing is available upon request, meaning it’s very expensive. Check out more pictures below:

Abt’s latest creation they’ll be displaying at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, which is their take on the Audi R8 Spyder. Abt squeezed 75 more horsepower out of the 5.2-liter V10 engine, bringing the power up to nearly 600 hp. The results: The Abt R8 Spyder will reach zero to 62 mph in only 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 199 mph. Just couldn’t squeeze out that extra mph, huh Abt?

Aesthetics are all Abt, as usual, with modifications to the front, rear, and sides. Abt 20-inch and 19-inch wheels are available as well, giving the car an extra aggressive look. Audi is working especially hard recently to bring electric power to their lineup. Initially, we thought the launch of the e-tron electric sports car was a one model deal, but it turns out Audi is calling “e-tron” their “brand name for electric mobility.” The electric sports car they showed will be launched first, in late 2012 in limited numbers, but will be followed by other models powered by an electric powertrain.

The Audi A1 e-tron, for example, will likely be the next step. Audi is calling the A1 e-tron a “Mega City Vehicle,” and with a power output of 102 hp, gets 31 miles out of its electric motor. A small rotary engine serves as a range extender, giving the A1 e-tron an extra 124 miles. Audi says the car will get around 124 mpg with both the gasoline and electric motors.

Audi is also applying the electric concept to developing full hybrid vehicles. The Audi Q5 hybrid will be on the market as early as late 2010, and the A8 hybrid in being displayed as you read this at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The A8 Hybrid Concept is more of an engineering study than a preview, but the idea is solid. The concept car is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine, and along with the electric motor, gets an output of 245 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque.

Ever heard of the brand Hispano? Me neither, until now. Turns out they’re a luxury car maker whose made a crap-load of cars that we’ve never heard about. But based on what they’re creating now, I have a feeling the name will get more well known in the supercar community.

Based on an Audi R8 V10, Hispano created a monster of a car. Called the Suiza, the supercar carries a twin-supercharged version of the R8’s 5.2-liter V10. It creates around 750 horsepower and 516 lb-ft – plenty enough to get you around. Want even more? Hispano is proposing a hybrid version of the car (based on the Audi e-tron,) which will output an estimated 900 hp! Ridiculous? Yes. Awesome? Hell yes. They’re also considering a convertible version of the Suiza, surely based off of the R8 Spyder.

The slightly less insane 750 hp version of the car will propel you from 0 to 60 mph in only 3.4 seconds, up to a top speed of 205 mph. The driver has to have deep pockets to own the Suiza – estimated cost is around $943,000.

Expect to see the Hispano Suiza at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in a few days. Check out a couple more images below:

Embarrassed you only have the measly 3.0 TDI Audi Q7 SUV? The tuner ENCO has your answer. They’ve taken the original front and back-end from a high-end Q7 V12 model and stuck it on the 3.0 TDI, making it look more aggressive and expensive. The ENCO press release for this SUV says “The giant radiator grill looks like a mouth ripped wide open from the inside mirror, which seems to want to ‘absorb’ small cars in front of it.” Nice.

The wheel arches have been widened, giving the SUV a wider stance. ENCO added their own GT bonnet (hood, for us Westerners,) made from lightweight carbon fiber and covered in a matte black finish. ENCO also added their own 23-inch wheels painted black chrome, and wrapped them in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires for higher performance. ENCO snagged the ceramic brakes from a Porsche Cayenne SUV and threw them on as well, ensuring the Q7 stops on a dime.

Inside, they’ve finished the Q7 in a bronze carbon look on the dashboard, center console, door trim, and steering wheel. I’ve never seen orange carbon fiber, and it actually looks pretty cool. ENCO’s Q7 also comes standard with a multimedia system including satellite TV, DVD player, video game console, and head rest LCD monitor.

Price? Don’t expect it to be cheap. For the whole shebang, ENCO will charge you €38000, or over $51,000 USD. Holy crap! Take a look at more pics below:

2011 Audi RS5

Just as we got our hands on the leaked sales brochure for the upcoming RS5, Audi trickles in some details about the car to keep our mouths watering until the Geneva show in March. So what does the RS5 have to offer?

Just as we expected, the super-coupe will feature Audi’s fantastic 4.2-liter V8, though it will be naturally-aspirated and not turbo or supercharged. Output is a healthy 450 hp with 317 lb-ft of torque. 0 to 60 mph comes in 4.6 seconds with Audi’s typical electronic governor kicking in at 155 mph. If you ask nicely though, Audi will bump up the top speed to 174 mph. Power is transmitted to all four wheels by the seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic gearbox, and nothing was mentioned of a manual transmission.

The RS5, which will be available in spring for MY 2011, has some unique details on the interior as well. Standard sport seats are power-adjustable and are clad in a leather and Alcantara combination. If you’re looking for something sportier, lighter and manually-adjustable bucket seats are available. On the other end of the spectrum, climate-controlled and heavily upholstered comfort seats are an option. Carbon fiber accents adorn the interior, along with aluminum and aluminum-look accents here and there. Other trim options are available, including “decorative inlays with a dark, stainless-steel mesh look, a black piano finish or brushed aluminum.” The driver information display also includes a lap timer and oil temp setting for taking your car to the track.

The 2011 Audi RS5 will get about 22 mpg average, which is impressive for a car of this caliber. On sale this Spring, the RS5 starts at a hefty 77,700 euros, or $105,590 USD.

The RS5 is not currently planned to come to America, but I’m hoping Audi decides to change their mind about that – this would be a great ride to have here in the States.

One of the sexiest cars on the road, the Audi S5, just got even sexier. AUSmotive.com somehow got their hands on a sales brochure for the 2011 Audi RS5 before it was unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March. No detailed information about the upcoming high-performance coupe were given, but we think it will get a super- or turbo-charged version of the magnificent 4.2-liter V8 engine found in the R8 and other high-performance Audis. Expect a lot of horsepower here – this thing is going to rip up the road.

Sadly it seems no manual transmission is available, but I’m hoping Audi will make that an option shortly after launch. Notice the RS 5 badges on the front, back, and brake calipers, as well as on the door sills, seats, shifter knob, and standard-shaped steering wheel (not flat-bottomed as on the R8.) According to the pictures, a unique red/black interior color scheme is available, which looks very cool. Carbon fiber and brushed aluminum interior trim is ultra-modern and sexy. Three seating options and four wheels appear to be available as options. Please Audi, let this come to the States!

Update: Details on the 2011 Audi RS5

Audi just announced that they will be offering two new limited edition packages for the RS 6 sedan. Called the “RS 6 Plus Sport” or “RS 6 Plus Audi Exclusive”, only 500 packages will be produced.

Both will feature a Carbon design package for the engine compartment, a sports suspension, 5-spoke 20-inch wheels, and a numbered badge in the interior so you can brag to your passengers about your sweet ride.

The RS6 Plus Sport package adds a leather-covered instrument panel hood and center console, along with floor mats wearing the RS6 logo. Opting for the Audi Exclusive package bags you a custom paint job and leather-covered seat upholstery, controls, door trim inserts, front center armrest, and armrests.

Otherwise, it’s a fairly typical RS6, with carbon fiber, aluminum, leather, and Alcantara lining the interior, and a 580 hp V10 engine that propels the car from 0 to 62 mph in only 4.5 seconds.

Both packages are only available in Europe. The RS 6 Sport will run 3,250 euros (about $4,400 USD) and the Audi Exclusive will cost 8,310 euros ($11,300.) Believe it or not, that’s about 50% less expensive than buying the options separately.

Audi S4

Well, we just got back from the 2010 Chicago Auto Show. While it isn’t quite as big or flashy as it used to be, there are still plenty of great cars, concepts, and exhibits to check out. Audi didn’t have any big news so they didn’t hold a press conference, but they have a large display full of their line-up.

Interestingly, almost every Audi vehicle present is white, except for the R8, R8 Spyder, and S5 Cabriolet, which are a special dark gold color unavailable in the production models, and the 2011 Audi A8, which is silver.
