Both the iPhone and the Tilt are AT&T smartphones (at least in the United States), however, the overall main difference between the iPhone and the AT&T Tilt, according, at least, to the way the two devices are being marketed, is that the iPhone is being targeted more towards the consumer-user and the AT&T Tilt towards the business-user. Both smartphones, however, have excellent qualities appealing to both types of users.

As more and more people decide to get Dry Loop accounts one of the biggest questions I get asked at my blog is "how do I pay my bill?" As some of you may know "DSL only" accounts (Dry Loop) are high speed internet accounts that don't require you to also purchase the phone services. ATT has been offering the service for about a year now, and as a personal user, I have to say I'm very happy. It's really one of the most economical and affordable ways to get high speed internet service without being bundled with a bunch of phone services or cable TV features I don't need.

But the thing about Dry Loop accounts is that if you already have an ATT phone account once you make the switch you're basically opening a brand new account-existing customer or not. So that means a) they do a brand new credit check on you and b) if you already had a login to pay your bills online it no longer works. It's VERY important that you understand that you're old login does not relate to your brand new "DSL only" account. When I first got the service I ended up getting months behind in my billing because I kept logging in and expecting to see a bill and one never showed up. But I WAS being billed.

So there are 2 ways you can pay your bill online. The first way involves not being "registered" but just inserting your personal data and paying on a month-to-month style payment. The second way is to actually register your account and be able to attach a bank account for funding, see past bills, and have a regular login/password like most people use today.

When you get your Dry Loop account you will no longer have a phone number. But they will give a 7 digit account number that LOOKS like a phone number. It will start with 081 and look like this; 081-XXX-XXXX. You can take that number and go to att.com/paybill and pay your bill in the month to month style payment. If you decide you want to have a regular online account you'll need to go to this website. Once you get to that website. You'll enter your account number, and your personal identification numbers and zip code. You will then be sent to a second page that will ask you if you want verification by a phone call (you'll need to provide a phone number you would like to be called on since the 081 number isn't a phone number) or a mailing address. I'm not afraid in the least to go out on a limb and tell you how awesome the AT&T service is, but it doesn't just begin and end with Uverse television. As long as I have an internet connection, I have connection to my home phone!

You may be asking, what is so much better about that than calling my phone from wherever I am and checking my message? Here is a few situations where this could make a difference to you

#1: You are trying to check an significant message and the caller goes in-detail about the reason for their call and then hurries through the phone number to call back. You normally have to re-start the entire message or try to use a ludicrous fast forward or rewind option on your phone. Since this is in a WMP file, all you have to do is place your cursor back to the same point and listen again...or slow it down!

#2: You get a message meant your daughter and don't want to listen to the entire thing, but want them to get the message. Just save the WMP file to your computer and email it to them. It's over! No more sticky notes or dry-erase boards, you are completely in the tech age!

How to Use AT&T Conference Calling

Decide which AT&T conference calling option you wish to use. You can choose automatic dial-in (in which each member of the call dials a special number and they are all automatically connected), operator-assisted dialing (in which you call each member of the call with the assistance of an AT&T operator) or operator-dialed connection (in which you supply the numbers of each member to an AT&T operator and they call and connect them for you).
Step 2

If you choose automatic dial-in, then you simply need to get each member of the conference call to dial the conference call number at the appointed time.
Step 3

Should you choose operator-assisted dialing or operator-dialed connection, then you will need to have each member by their phone at the appointed time so that they can receive the call.
Step 4

When the conference call has ended (or when the participation of certain members has ended) then each member can simply hang up the phone and be disconnected.
Step 5

Should you need to add additional members or reconnect members that accidentally disconnected from the conference call, you can have them dial in (if using the automatic dial-in option) or call them and they will be added to the conference call just as the original members were at the beginning.
