SOFT FASCISTS - WELL MEANING BUT DANGEROUS

The tv host is typical of the weaponized activists who treat anyone with a different logic channel as undesirable Hitlers. I have run into a few of these people. The problem is there no debate, only force. The other problem is they do not have the capacity to absorb any logic. They're susceptible to acceptable fallacies and propaganda, and they cannot think for themselves.

For example, I have tried to explain to many friends and strangers that the issue with health care is costs not coverage. Anyone should be able to afford health care services out of pocket. Insurance should only really be for costlier services and for emergencies. We cannot give health care to everyone because the costs are too high, even if we wanted or tried to. It's simply unaffordable. There is way too much profit and fat.

There are two things off-hand we can implement to reduce the costs. Firstly, all nonemergency services must be purchased through a bidding process. People must purchase their services through a website. The health care provider must put in a bid on the request. The buyer then chooses the service provider based on cost and quality (there will be reviews just like on Amazon). If the cost of the service is less than what the insurer would have paid, the buyer gets to keep half the difference as future credits to use on future services.

Secondly, we need to make legitimate health care professionals that are specialized in their fields, but do not have as much education or accreditation as doctors, like what paralegals are to lawyers. This would cost a lot less than going to the doctor. Why do you need to go to the doctor for simple things like the cold or flu?

Saw her in concert at the Staples Center. She's brought out a massive and gorgeous video screen in the shape of an eye this time. The flowers on stage and the floating around planets segments were so entertaining.

This is my most favorite part of the concert. The studio version of the song is actually dubbed over the video so the music isn't live, but since it's so clear it's more fun. There are other videos that are live, however, and they have their own appeal.

I'm not a fan of remixes 99.99% of the time. They are created by people who lack creativity to create their own songs. And 99% of covers also lack creativity. In both cases, they ruin the original song.

But here is an exception. Here's the first cover I'm going to post because the video and song is so much better than the original. Well actually, I'm not a Beyonce fan and fail to see her popularity. Her performances don't entertain me and there is nothing in her songs that I can relate to.

Anyways, here's NONA's cover of Beyonce's Hold up. I really like the slow motion video as it bring out the nuances and subtleties. The singing is awesome. It's just a fun video to watch. That is Michael Goldman.

Staying true to one's self through the process is difficult and not everyone makes it. It reminds me of the time when Lorde was singing about getting on her first plane (1:05).

CONTEMPLATE

A song by Katy Perry that makes you think, makes you contemplate, make you say, "hey that's me, that's my situation"? It's the boredom of living in suburbia where days pass by with the same routine. I guess shes feeling it too during the break.

Other songs by her that said something about life, made me ponder, was inspirational, and associated my situation with hers. I love these songs!: Who Am I Living for, Lost, Long Shot, The Box. There are one or two that I'm leaving out that I do not have the song names of but I have run into them before.

Somehow this song is supposed to be political, but I don't see it in the lyrics. And I don't think people are apathetic. They just want things and stuff and that's what they vote for. People are bribed into turning a blind eye to evil that's perpetrated as long as they get their bread and circus. The philosophy isn't healthy.

So is the song about Trump then? Well, Katy did campaign for Hillary (she campaigned for Obama too). She's just misguided. Trump is no different then any president before him. Trump is just flamboyant and that is what rubs people the wrong way. Trump is not any more fascist or dictatorial.

Obama was slick while he was lying, letting bankers off the hook, allowing spying, jailing whistle-blowers, and bombing innocent people. There was this lull that people grew into. Heck, people in their 20s, who were the majority of the protestors, were literally still in their diapers when Billy Boy Clinton was having affairs in the White House 20 years ago. There were no protests. So these protestors have no history to fall back on. They don't realize it is same as it always was.

She is the #1 entertainer of all time for me.

So Katy explains the song a little and goes into what she's up to lately. I am happy she's taking a break to live life. She isn't concerned about money at this point - she isn't a psychopath! I'm personally taking a few months off work myself to regroup and enjoy the nice warm California weather. Hoping to get some travel and vacation in too.

EYE CANDY

At last it's here. The flagship song (in my humble opinion) deserves a flagship music video. And here it is!

It is THE song I head bang to in the car.

Some creative criticism: Love it. It really is eye candy. Colorful, scenic, beautiful, suspenseful, and dramatic. It did, however, get too fancy and missed out on the classic Grimes personality and charm. It was overriden with all the graphics and graphics sequences.

Check out Flesh without Blood, Butterfly, Go, World Princess II, or Hana's Underwater videos. Those are spectacular. Anyways, you decide...

Btw, half the song is sung by her friend, Janelle Monáe, who has recently costarred in some movies.

UPDATE 2/14/2017 - With my upgraded laptop I just watched this as my first 2160p video on my 1080p monitor and it is ridiculously spectacular. I take back my criticism of the graphics distracting from the content. It flows perfectly fine in 2160p with all the details presented, whereas in 1080p it doesn't make the video pop out as much and make out its intended presentation. It is a wonderful mood setter in 2160p! This is indeed one of the best music videos ever and perhaps Grimes's best.

IT'S GOOD TO BE A KID AGAIN

I was in Walmart yesterday during Black Friday (6pm) hours. Needless to say I wasn't there to buy anything but to look and observe. I saw lots of full shopping baskets. It was like adults being kids once again. There was an air of festivity and joy in addition to the frenzy, anticipation, and excitement. Everything was orderly as there were 10x the Walmart staff in security type yellow neon suits, who were placed in every department in the store, and directed people to the doorbusters and kept everything orderly and managed. There were even a few cops and their cars huddled outside the door who left after the initial hour.

I did a bit of shopping online that would fill up such a cart. This bashing of black Friday shoppers is overdone and misdirected. People are going for the sale even if they don't need the items (I've bought some items that I don't need but since it was cheap, why not?).

There's something seriously wrong with people who criticize Black Friday shoppers. Most of the places - 99.9% of them are orderly and uneventful. In fact, the crowd at Walmart was no different in numbers than a busy weekend. And Sears was dead. I did pick up some cheap clothing there. Sears lost a lot of money on my sale :). I feel for Sears.

It's been about one year since my discovery of Meg Myers. This year SIA had a standout performance at Coachella 2016. Meg Myer's Lollapalooza 2014 performance is in the same league. In fact, that this point, it is the gold standard and perhaps it may never be matched or surpassed.

I'm surprised things don't start flying off during stage during the exorcism! It's a sort of mood cleansing. You'll come out refreshed.
