If laziness is the mother of invention, which it often is, then taking my phone out of my pocket every time I want to check Twitter is far too clumsy. I want it projected in front of my eye, with some kind of discreet control pad on my arm or voice control… is that too much to ask? Well no, it isn’t. The technology is already here and by the 2010s it’ll be cheap.

Will people walk around with a strange screen projecting to their eye? If it is discreet, yes.

Don’t use an eye-screen and drive.

Please take a moment to see why I follow her. I am not kidding I will attempt to describe how she is making it ‘great’!

I find her tweets insightful and they often stand out from the wave. Each oozes with reality, life, buzz, wisdumb, jackacidity, sexiness, hope, joy and often brings a smile to my face.

Anything that makes me smile qualifies for being ‘great’.

Is This the Start of Web 3.0?

My definition of Web 3.0 seems to be:  Live interaction wherever possible.

Google Wave offers: Live editing, tweeting, emailing, instant messaging, collaborating, search, live auto translation – (speaks 40 languages), auto spell checker – all seamlessly part of one system.

It’s an open system which anyone can develop upon. Encouraging innovation as always.

After watching the Google Wave Developer Preview it is easy imagine the new possibilities of communication that have opened up here. Google Wave satisfies that demand to make communication on the web more integrated and useful. They appear to have done a really good job of it!

The video has many good applauses and ‘wow’ moments!

A few years ago I watched a video about how consciousness and calendars are linked. The idea that Ian Xel Lungold talks about changed the way I think.

His interpretation of the ancient Mayan Calendar suggested that since the universe began, consciousness has been evolving. As time goes on in a linear way, more things are learnt by more people and the best and strongest that survived are shared and passed on. In the video, the Mayan calendar is used by Ian Xel Lungold used to demonstrate this accelerating of evolution of consciousness by matching it up to historical events stretching back to the start of the universe.

The calendar apparently counts up to the day that December 21, 2012 lands on which marks the end of this ‘cycle’ in the Mayan calendar.

Misinterpretations

There are a lot of misguided beliefs about 2012 and the Mayan Calendar relating to ‘the end of the world’. Just do a search and you’ll see what I mean.

In Reality

I predict that on December 21st 2012, it will only be the end of religious beliefs for those that religiously believed it would be ‘the end of the world’ !

This day should be a great cause for great celebration (I for one will be partying late into the next day .

The media will do what it does best

There will be big parties. There will be a huge worldwide media scare and coverage about the whole thing.

The 21st of December 2012 will be remembered for making a lot of people look silly, but also and more importantly for what everyone just learnt.

The doomsday trippers and misguided believers will experience the ULTIMATE lesson in the evolution of human consciousness.

Personal

Belief that the world could end in 3 years from now is a good thing for some people. It taught me to live each day to the full. With another 3 full years of training, I expect to be really good at making use of time.

Predictions based on current events

Accelerating development of the Internet and computer technology is allowing people to communicate more and benefit in ways previously not thought of.

As more people become more connected: ideas flow better, geophysical barriers become irrelevant, people understand each other better, awareness and empathy of the human condition improves, problems are solved more effectively, natural resources are saved and funny pictures of animals are easy to get hold of.

Even the ‘unconnected’ (people not on the Internet) are getting the benefits without even realising. The improvements that the communication revolution offers to society is benefiting everyone right now and will only get better.

We are on a trajectory of improving betterness. Expect 2012 to be a time of understanding.

I have decided it is about time everyone became more aware of this issue.

This is a reminder to all men out there that moobs are unsightly, unhealthy and I expect a bit of a turn off for women.

Moobs form on men with a lifestyle of excess.

I for one have let myself go a little and I know I am not alone.

Come on men, lets cut back on that sugar/fat/alcohol and eat a little less.

By reducing you man boobs you will live longer, you’ll look sexier and you wont look like a fat bastard as much.

Seriously I’m going to cut down the chocolate, cheesecakes and crisps and do interesting things with fruit and veg instead. It does not mean giving up the things you like, it just means eating less of them. It is easily doable by all.

The solution: Eat less all round to reduce daily calory intake.

It’s finally here. It’s April the 1st and what a nice surprise to see Google Suggest to be working on the UK version of the search engine.

Using the latest hardware from a distance, gamers will be able to play games from a distance using a small set-top box.

Despite the noticeable control delay from button press to on-screen movement, this will succeed because it will be super cheap.

That and all the benefits of the cloud, such as automatic upgrades, that the clouds have to offer.

Imagine the new games and virtual realities that will appear from this type of system…

We could be looking at a new big bwoy in the gaming market. I didn’t see that one coming!

I’ve always wanted a way to plan a goal quickly and easily. In the past the quickest way to create a brainstorm has been using pen and paper, and it works pretty good.

I wanted a goal planner so much that I even bought the domain treegoal.com in the knowledge that one day I could somehow learn how to program web apps! That didn’t happen, so I was excited to see this website called MindMeister reviewed on BBC’s Click technology program on TV.

This way of planning a goal is now faster than using paper. Any mind maps created are stored online to access from anywhere and can be shared in real time to collaborate with other web users.

MindMeister is free to use and to my surprise it works exactly the way I want it. All the features I was planning for my own ‘treegoal’ domain, they’ve done it.

I uploaded the music video ‘Zero G’ to some of the most popular video sharing sites that do not require any special registration. Some sites have restrictions on the types of videos you can upload.

The resulting videos are embedded primarily in order of sound quality. If the audio quality is equal at any stage, they are placed in secondary order by: how intrusive advertisements are, speed of loading and other site features.

I have worked extensively with audio and have been producing music for over 14 years and have to the best of my ability put them in highest sound quality order. I’ve taken into account: high frequency clarity, punchiness, solidity, bass integrity, colouration and compression artefacts. This top ten is simply showing how good the audio codec settings are for each video site.

Sound playback on some of these sites is so good I consider it to be hi-fidelity and near-CD quality.

The uploaded file contains stereo audio at 44100 samples/sec and 16bit resolution per channel compressed with WMA2 averaging 96 Kb/s. Music recorded by Galaxy Code.

Conclusion

Vimeo, Viddler and Dailymotion have the best streaming sound quality with Vimeo coming out on top because of the interface. These top three have high video quality and quick load times.

All my life I have thought the people in the houses of parliament are so unlike people like me, how can they know and fight for what we want. As I got older I began to appreciate more that MPs do represent us to a certain degree. That is providing you can write a good enough letter or email to your local member of parliament putting up a strong idea or opinion on a current issue.

But this is an inefficient way of working in today’s world of increasingly accessible and instant communication.

The Internet allows any person of any status a level and equal opportunity to give their opinion. How many times have you wanted to have your say but are put off by the ‘treacle’ that is the old way of communication?

Instead of formal letters, in-person meetings and phone calls, we now have social networks like: Twitter, Facebook and Youtube which do away with the old formalities and allows for a simple message to come through.

We need a representative to give UK-wide and worldwide Internet users a voice in parliament. I thought we could call it The Internet Party.

UPDATE 14th February 2009

Thanks to all those with things to say on my wild thought/idea.

It turns out that what I really want and what drove me to write this was a frustration at the way the country is run, specifically at the legal and social status of cannabis.

So, I wrote about this big idea imagining myself seated in parliament, listening to my friends and followers on the internet, and communicating their concerns and ideas.

The thing is, there already IS a pretty good system in place. OK, it is hierarchical, you have to speak to your councillor, who speaks to the MP who then considers the idea and then tries to get a word in edgeways in parliament.

This tree of representatives has existed for a long time and has largely proven itself as the best model.

Now, I study evolution of consciousness, so I cannot but help try and imagine and realize new ways of thinking often communicating them (even if rubbish) in the hope that it may spark some discussion and action in others. This is what happened with this very blog post. I put out what I was thinking at the time with excitement and drive, under the illusion that I’d stumbled upon something new and ground breaking.

This is not to say that there is no room for improvement in the way countries are governed!

The current system is good in that, you can email your local MP and get a letter in return. But because I have recently started using Twitter, all other forms of communication (except voice) are just damned inconvenient!

Parliament, Number 10 and the Mayor of London are already on twitter, but do they really listen? With so many wants and needs of the general public, it seems the only way is to communicate through increasingly stringent stages of idea weed-outs so only the public’s most mentioned or most important ideas/messages get to the policy makers in power.

I hope this clears things up.

I made some videos just now on my mobile but I have a dilemma.
I don’t know whether to share them with the world.

I have shared videos before on sites like Youtube, but never ones with me in the frame (apart from my hands in a how-to video).

Should I share my videos with the world?

Here are things I have come up with after some examination…

If I do share them: What is the worst that could happen?

• My cover is blown
• People will have a much clearer judgement on who I am
  • why, are you embarrassed about yourself?
    • yes, because I am not successful
      • success? how did ___insert role model here______ become successful? They started out from nothing.
        • My goal is to to pay off debt, get an electric vehicle and a carbon neutral house.
          • What are you doing right now?
            • Writing a blog about a personal information sharing dilemma!
              • So you’re doing this for fun, a spare time interest?
                • It would appear that way.
• Exposed, stalked, negative mysteries and the unknown
• I may later start posting bad videos prompting ridicule and argument (about whos way is better)
• Too much personal information. Where do you draw the line? Something useful!
  • Fear is ignorance.

Plus sides of sharing them:

• It could help others
• Shared experience
• Could get a lot of views?

So those are some good and bad things that could happen if I share. What could happen…

if I do not share my videos:

• I do not change. Living in festering stagnation.
• I stay largely unknown and misjudged
• I wont achieve a satisfying followment of audience -wtf

Plus sides of not sharing:

• I wont ruin anyone’s expectations

Though, this is not to say other people are insignificant in any way. They are equally significant as you are.

This Level

From this level I can drive my body/host/mind/self as if it were a puppet.

This is only possible because immediate physical hazards are avoided instinctively and the mind/body can be trusted running on auto-pilot. Set and forget, it will protect itself.

To exist and think on this level takes practice, or you may get it right away. This post will hopefully open your mind to the possibilities of this higher level.

Distractions

Because your mind/body is so often intensely involved with experiences and distractions all around in everyday life, realizing that there is another level of thinking is often beyond thinking.
Should this knowledge even be passed on?
Will it improve the life of the person who practices it?

So what is it like on this level?

From this level, it is possible to do anything effortlessly.

Imagine your body, your house, your street, your town, your country, the whole world, the solar system, the galaxy and the universe in your hands and you have control of your mind/body within it.
You control the mind/body to do whatever you command, effortlessly.
You control whether to respond to any senses or sensations of the mind/body.
By choice, you can become detached from emotion and make better judgements.

Before you wondered how people could say: “Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.”
As if it was an easy thing to do.
With no understanding of a higher level mind, this would not have seemed obvious.

On this high level, only you exist with the universe at your control. All laws still apply.

High Level Thinking, Control and Accomplishment

Give it a try in the morning, if it still works you’re on to something.
Give it a try in 2 weeks, if it still works you may have cracked it.
If you can exist from this level after a year has past you have become a master of the universe.

Don’t just believe, question it.

This post, like any communication between peoples, should be and definitely is open to interpretation.

The concept, while simple, may or may not allow the reader to exist from a higher level which in-turn allows the reading of the rest of this sentence.
