Each year Cinema Italian Style brings a piece of Italy to Los Angeles, offering some of the finest contemporary Italian films and documentaries which have made an impact in both Italy and abroad.

Originally discovered by veteran defender Jason “Goods” Goodman, the reasonably priced treat has been popular with many of the club’s players who reportedly also enjoy the early nineties hip-hop soundtrack the restaurant likes to serve up alongside its delicious food.

“In a perfect world the potatoes would be replaced by black beans but I’m very happy with its [the burrito's] size and overall nutritional value,” Trageser said.

A CSC delegation including Justin “Crazy Legs” Fines, Trageser, Sutherland, Goodman and Dan “The Danimal” Funderburgh dug into their breakfast burritos following practice earlier this morning.

La Esquina’s version of the Mexican delicacy has been applauded for both its taste and affordability.

I first caught this exchange when the first letter and response was given back in May, from Dustin Curtis regarding the User Interface design of their home page after booking a flight through them. While I think the original was a bit extreme in tone, later adjusted pending a response from ‘Mister X’ who worked on the design staff for AA, Mr. Curtis did offer up a quick redesign which shows this was not quite the normal off the cuff rant via web. Since then things have unfurled quite horribly, and Mr. Curtis is back with another post updating the situation and the fate of ‘Mister X’. What shocks me most is the inability of AA to handle this situation in what I would call a decent manner. I would like to say its the problem with corporations, profit before service mentality, but I am not able to speak on authoritavely on such a topic, being just a designer who likes to ride bikes. However, I do know that I do not plan on traveling AA anytime soon and would rather spend my time on airlines like Virgin that seem to ‘get it’.

As some may know, I am the guy who goes through all the submitted links that come through the MASH SF site. While it is a lot to go through, I make sure to check each site/blog/link to see if anything is there. Today, after a bit of catch up, I came across Usé, a nice site with some great photography of their group riding. With shots from L’Eroica and The Tourmalet in there, they are tackling some of the cycling monuments. Truly great stuff.

“I expected nothing less from Denise [Vasel] and she knows that there will always be a job with the club’s legal department for her,” a visibly proud Coach Stochl said.

Coach Stochl presented Vasel with a jar of Chinese jelly candy on behalf of the club.

Fittingly, the container was in the shape of a miniature soccer player.

Vasel was reportedly delighted with the impromptu gesture by her teammates.

CSC veteran Byron stopped by in his FDNY ambulance to congratulate Vasel.

Dan “The Danimal” Funderburgh executed a series of celebratory front flips as part of the club’s pre-training ceremony to honor Vasel.

Funderburgh’s rarely seen double-bounce front flip was caught on camera by Andrew “The Midfield General” Sutherland.

Today was a really bad day Jerry and I could have used one of those big sweaty hugs you gave after a show, when you were genuinely excited and surprised to see me. “Galkin, what the fuck are YOU doing here?!”, you would exclaim, as if I didn’t ever attend the live shows from bands on my own label.

You were truly one of a kind, and whether you knew it or not, people wanted to be in the same room as you, or near the same room as you, because maybe just maybe, some of that radiant joy and in-the-moment spirit you exuded would rub off on them.  You didn’t take it all with you, because there are a lot of people today who are going to feel mighty responsible to carry and spread that joy with them for the rest of the time they have here. And who knows now how long that might be. 

You were a really good drummer, some might say the best we had, but you were a greater friend. I love you and miss you, Jerry.

Thanks to BBC Four this genre has finally been given more light.  Faust, Neu, Can, Kraftwerk…they are all there…Can’t wait to see it in it’s full glory.
