Oh you who were raised among us
جئت بالأمر المطاع
Coming with a word to be obeyed

You have brought to this city nobleness
مرحبا يا خير داع
Welcome best caller to God's way

طلع البدر علينا

طلع النور المبين نور خير المرسلين
the manifest light was raised, the light of the best
messenger
نور أمن وسلام نور حق ويقين
the light of peace and secure, the light of truth and
certitude
ساقه الله تعالى رحمة للعالمين
Allah has sent him a mercy for all the world
فعلى البر شعاع وعلى البحر شعاع
so he is as a rays on the earth and on the seas

مرسل بالحق جاء نطقه وحي السماء
sent with the truth , his words is a revelation from
the sky ( allah )
قوله قول فصيح يتحدى البلغاء
with an eloquence in his sayings which challenges all
the eloquents
فيه للجسم شفاء فيه للروح دواء
it's* a cure for the body and healing for the soul
* the revelation which is the holy Quran
أيها الهادي سلام ما وعى القرآن واع
O our guide peace be upon you, as much as people become aware of Quran

our guide came to us to liberate the captive and the
suffured people
مرشد الساعي إذا ما أخطأ الساعي المسير
he is a guidance for the seeker who lost the way
دينه حقاً صراحاً دينه ملك كبير
his religion is the clear truth, his religion is a
massive throne
هو في الدنيا نعيماً وهو في الأخرى متاع
he is a bliss in this world and a pleasure in the hereafter

هات هدي الله هات يا نبي المعجزات
give us the guidance of allah (pbth) ,O messenger of the
miracles
ليس لللات مكان ليس للعزا الثبات
there is no place for el-lati , there is no existence for
el_oza (two famous idols were being worshipped before
islam was revealed )
وحد الله و وحد شملنا بعد الشتات
unite allah and reunite us after the dispersion
أنت ألفت قلوباً شفها طول الصراع
you tamed many hearts from being in a long conflict

ألست الذى غذيتنى وهديتنى
Were not You who fed me and guided me?
ولا زلت منانا علي ومنعما
And still, You give me generously and bless me
عسى من له الإحسان يغفر زلتى
May You, to Whom my charity belongs, forgive me my faults,
ويستر أوزارى وما قد تقدم
Pardon my sins and what came before.
فإن تعف عني تعف عـن متمردٍ
And if You forgive me, a mutinous You forgive…
ظلوم غشــوم لا يـزايـل مأتمـا
A wrongful unfair pitiless criminal…
وإن تنتقم منى فلست بآيس
Indeed not despaired if You avenged me
ولو أدخلوا نفسى بجرم جهنم
Or into the core of hell You brought my soul

إليك إله الخلق أرفع رغبتى

ولما قسـا قلبي وضـاقت مذاهبي
جعلت الرجـاء مني لعفوك سلمــا

فصيحاً إذا ما كان في ذكر ربه
Articulate when mentioning his God

وفي ما سواه في الورى كان أعجما
And like a stranger in anything else.

يقول حبيبي أنت سألي وبغيتي
Says: My Beloved, you are my cause and who I ask

كفى بك للراجين سؤلاً ومغنمى
It's enough for me to only ask and enjoy you

أصون ودادي أن يدنسه الهوى
I protect my love to be changed from my perosnal emotions

و أحفظ عهد الحب أن يتــــثــلمـــــــا
And I keep the convient of Love from being covered or changed

ففي يقظتي شوق وفي غفوتي منى
When I am awake, I miss you and when I am asleep I have wishes

تلاحق خطوي نشوة وترنما
These feelings keep following me with happiness and satisfaction

فجرمي عظيم من قديم وحــادث
For my past and recent sins are great

وعفوك يأتي العبد أعلى وأجسمــا
And your forgiveness for your slaves are much greater than that.

ولما قسـا قلبي وضـاقت مذاهبي
جعلت الرجـاء مني لعفوك سلمــا
فما زلتَ ذا عفو عن الذنب لم تزل

نامت عيون الخائنين
وعين نجمك لا تخون

أم أن من فوق الثرى لا يسمعون ولا يعون
or those who are upon the ground didn't hear nor comprehend

ويحُ نفسي أفلم ترى وهي ترسف في سجون
Alas my self, don't you see that you confined in prisons

أضفيت على الحسن العبقا فالورد تضوع وأعتنقا
You have imparted the scent over the beauty of the roses, the fragrances exhaled and embraced

حسن يارب لنا الخلقا طهره فلا يحوى نزقا
God beautify our character and purify it so it will have no irascibility

أضفيت على الحسن العبقا فالورد تضوع وأعتنقا
حسن يارب لنا الخلقا طهره فلا يحوى نزقا

وإجعله يقلد فى صبر للهادى فى حسن الخلقا
and let it in passion imitate our guider morals (the prophet PBUH)

حسن يا رب لنا الخلقا فالعبد بإخلاق سبقا
God beautify our character, as the servant precede by the well-morals

أضفيت على الحسن العبقا فالورد تضوع وأعتنقا
حسن يارب لنا الخلقا طهره فلا يحوى نزقا

فى جنة خلد مقعده فى قربك أحمد ملتحقا
In the everlasting jannah his home would be, beside Ahmad (the prophet PBUH)

من كان له خلق حسن سيكون الأقرب فى الرفقا
the one who have a good character, he will be the nearst to him

أضفيت على الحسن العبقا فالورد تضوع وأعتنقا
حسن يارب لنا الخلقا طهره فلا يحوى نزقا

كم أثنى الله على خلق فى احمد أصدق من صدقا
Many time Allah has prised morals of Ahmad, the most honest one among the honests

قد أدب ربى مرسله هو أكرم من ربى خلقا
Allah has educated his messenger, so he is the most noble one amoung god's creatures

أضفيت على الحسن العبقا فالورد تضوع وأعتنقا
حسن يارب لنا الخلقا طهره فلا يحوى نزقا

هو رحمة أمته أبدا وسراج النور قد إئتلقا
He is forever the mercy for his Ummah , and the shinning light

خلق القرآن شميلته فضل الرحمن به رزقا
The moral of Quran is his character, blessed with by the the (Most) Gracious one.

For days in hope and love they walked with your caravan

واذا أجرى الله قضاء مفعولا لاينفع حذر
[If Allah carry out a fate no carefulness would affect]

وخرجت لتحيي أمتنا وهناك يسابقك القدر
You ride out to revive the Ummah, to there where the fate racing you

ومشيت تلاحظك الدنيا وفؤاد الأمة يستعر
You walked the whole world seeing you, and the heart of the Ummah was burning

وخرجت لتحيي أمتنا وهناك يسابقك القدر
ومشيت تلاحظك الدنيا وفؤاد الأمة يستعر

في ركبك سار أبو بكر والزينب فيهم والعمر
Abu bakar, Zainab and Omar walked with your caravan

زمر كالصبح جلالتها هم نور الأرض المنتشر
companies as the light of the day..

You know not that you were besieged, and the mobs of al kufah betrayed you

With Allah at down, noon, and before daybreak

مع الله سرا مع الله جهرا وحين نجد و حين السمر
With Allah in secret and in public, with Allah while we are serious and in humor.

مع الله عند رجوع الغريب و لقيا الأحبة بعد السفر
With Allah when the traveler returns, and at the meeting with the beloved ones after depart.

مع الله في عبرة النادمين
With Allah in tears of remorse

مع الله في العبرات الأخر
And other tears

تبوح و تسدل عن سرها وفي طهرها يستحم القمر
Falling and cover its secret and in its purity the moon washing

مع الله في الجاريات الرياح تثير السحاب فيهمل مطر
With Allah when the winds move the clouds so the rain falls

فتصحو الحيات و يربو النبات و يزهو الزهور و يحلو الثمر
Then the life awakes, and the plants grow and roses bloom and the fruits ripe

مع الله في الجرح لما انمحى
With Allah when the wound is healed

مع الله في العظم لما انجبر
With Allah when the bone is splint

مع الله في الكرب لما انجلى
With Allah when the trouble is solved

مع الله في الهم لما اندثر
With Allah, when the sorrow is gone

مع الله في سكنات الفؤاد و تسليمه للقضاء و القدر
With Allah, when the heart is at ease and believes in divine creed

مع الله في عزمات الجهاد يقود الأسود إلى من كفر
With Allah in resolution of struggle that leads lions to disbelievers

مع الله عند التحام الصفوف و عند الثبات وبعد الطفر
With Allah when groups melt and stay firm on right and after wining

مع الله حين يثور الضمير و تصحو البصيرة و يصحو البصر
With Allah, when the consciences heeds and the insight awakes

وعند الركوع و عند الخشوع و عند الصفا حين تتلا السور

أشــرقــت نــفــســي بـنـور من فؤادي حــيــنــمــا رددت يــا رب الـعباد
My soul is brightened by a light in my heart When I praised God of mankind

وانتشت روحي وصار الدمع يجري يـــا الـــهـــي خـــذ بــقـــلبي للرشاد
And my soul is cheered up and the tears were flowing, Oh God! guide my heart to reason

أشــرقــت نــفــســي بـنـور من فؤادي حــيــنــمــا رددت يــا رب الـعباد
وانتشت روحي وصار الدمع يجري يـــا إلـــهـــي خـــذ بــقـــلبي للرشاد

في ســكــون الـلـيـل أدعو في سجودي والدجى حولي سواد في سوادي
In the tranquility of the night I pray during worshiping

Oh Kind! Oh Most Merciful! Oh Most Forbearing!
Oh Kind! Your gifts are endless

Oh All-Hearing! Oh Answerer! Oh Most Magnificent!
Oh Creator of the strong predatory animals! Guide me

Ask the high spears about our backlash

وا ستشهد البيض هل خاب الرجا فينا
And make the elderly our witness if you ever lost hope in us

لما سعينـا فمـا رقـت عزائمنـا
When we preceded, our determination never softened

عما نـروم ولا خابـت مساعينـا
To achieve what we desire and our efforts never failed

قوم إذا أسْتُخْصِموا كانوا فراعنـة
A people, if they oppose you, they become Pharaohs,

يوماً وإن حُكِّموا كانـوا مَوازينا
One day if they rule; they act like scales

تدرعوا العقل جلبابا فـإن حميـت
Arm yourselves with a mind like a loose gown;

نار الوغي خلتهـم فيهـا مجانينا
If the fire of the battles gets heated they become deranged

إذا ادَّعَوا جاءت الدنيا مصدقــةً
If they demand, then the world will accept as true

وإن دَعَوا قالت الأيام آمينا
And if they supplicate, the days will say Ameen

إنا لقوم أبت أخلاقنا شرفا
We are the people whose honourable manners

أن نبتدي بالأذي من ليس يؤذينا
Refused to inflict harm on who does not initiate it

بيض صنائعنا سودٌ وقائعنا
White are our deeds, Black is our reality,

خضرٌ مرابعنا حمر مواضينا
Green is our spring, Red is our past

لا يظهر العجزُ منا دونَ نيلِ المنى
Weakness will not be shown by us until we gain death

لو أن المرء لم يلبس ثيابا من التقى تجرد عريانا ولو كان كاسيا
If the man didn't wear the raiment of righteousness, he is disrobe even if he was wearing a clothes

ولو دامت الدنيا لأهلها لكان رسول الله حيا وباقيا
and if the dunia remain for anybody, the prophet (Peace be upon him) would be lasting and alive

ولكنها تفنى ويفنى نعيمها وتبقى الذنوب والمعاصى كما هي
but it perish and its bliss vanish and the sins remine as it is

أصبحت ضيف الله فى دار الرضا وعلى الكريم كرامة الضيفاني
I am Allah guest at his house..

تعفو الملوك حين النزول فى ساحتهم كيف النزول بساحة الرحمن
Kings pardon, while comeing to their palace, how about coming to the Most Gracious one?

O you who conceal the ignominious for who standing at your door and give him generously

The pigeon cooing because of the farness pain and I am crying because of the fearness of ad-Dayyaan

ليس الغريب غريب الشام واليمن .... إن الغريب غريب اللحد والكفن

إن الغريب له حق لغربته .... على المقيمين في الأوطان والسكن

لا تنهرنَّ غريبا حال غربته .... الدهر ينهره بالذل والمحن

سفري بعيد وزادي لن يبلغني .... وقوتي ضعفت والموت يطلبني

ولي بقايا ذنوب لست أعلمها .... الله يعلمها في السر والعلن

ما أحلم الله عني حيث أمهلني .... وقد تماديت في ذنبي ويسترني

تمرُّ ساعات أيامي بلا ندم .... ولا بكاء ولا خوفٍ ولا حَزَنِ

أنا الذي أُغلق الأبواب مجتهداً .... على المعاصي وعين الله تنظرني

يا زلةً كُتبت في غفلة ذهبت .... يا حسرةً بقيت في القلب تُحرقني

دعني أسحُّ دموعا لا انقطاع لها .... فهل عسى عبرةٌ منها تُخلصني
Let my tears pour to infinity, this might make me feel better

كأنني بين جلِّ الأهل منطرحٌ .... على الفراش وأيديهم تُقلبني
as if I am lying down and my family around me and hands are turning me around

وقد تجمَّع حولي مَن ينوح ومن .... يبكي عليَّ وينعاني ويندبني
my friends and family are surrounding me crying weeping and moaning

وقد أتوا بطبيب كي يُعالجني .... ولم أرَ الطب هذا اليوم ينفعني
They have got a Doctor to treat me and I don't see that medicine will be any use to me this day

واشتد نزعي وصار الموت يجذبها .... من كل عِرقٍ بلا رفق ولا هونِ
And my illness got worse and death started extracting my soul, extracting it from every vain in my body

واستخرج الروح مني في تغرغرها .... وصار ريقي مريرا حين غرغرني
And death took my soul and as my soul departure my throat got full of bitterness

وغمضوني وراح الكل وانصرفوا..بعد الإياس وجدوا في شرا الكفن
They closed my eyes and left to buy me a coffin

وقام من كان حِبَّ الناس في عجَلٍ .... نحو المغسل يأتيني يُغسلني
And the best of my friends went in a hurry to find a washer to wash me (Islamic death ritual)

وقال يا قوم نبعي غاسلا حذِقا .... حرا أديبا عارفا فطِنِ

فجاءني رجلٌ منهم فجرَّدني .... من الثياب وأعراني وأفردني
And a man from them came and striped my clothes off

وأودعوني على الألواح منطرحا .... وصار فوقي خرير الماء ينظفني
and laid me on a board And I heard the noise of the water running over me

وأسكب الماء من فوقي وغسَّلني .... غَسلا ثلاثا ونادى القوم بالكفنِ
He washed me and called the crowd for the coffin

وألبسوني ثيابا لا كِمام لها .... وصار زادي حنوطي حين حنَّطني
And they dressed me up with sleeveless clothes And my haversack was empty (simile)

وأخرجوني من الدنيا فوا أسفا .... على رحيلي بلا زاد يُبلغني
And they sent me away from this world, Oh how regretful do I feel not filling my haversack with supplies to help me reach my destination (good deeds)

وحمَّلوني على الأكتاف أربعةٌ .... من الرجال وخلفي منْ يشيعني
And four men carried me on there shoulders and behind me was a crowd grieving

وقدَّموني إلى المحراب وانصرفوا .... خلف الإمام فصلى ثم ودعني
They put me in front of them and they went behind the Imam to pray

صلوا عليَّ صلاةً لا ركوع لها .... ولا سجود لعل الله يرحمني
They prayed a prayer with no kneeling or postures, may God forgive me

وكشَّف الثوب عن وجهي لينظرني .... وأسبل الدمع من عينيه أغرقني
And my friend came out of the crowd upon me, he exposed my face to take a last look and his tears drowned me.

فقام مُحترما بالعزم مُشتملا .... وصفف اللبْن من فوقي وفارقني
He then stepped back firmly got the spade and buried me.

وقال هُلواعليه الترب واغتنموا .... حسن الثواب من الرحمن ذي المنن
And he called for help and said seek God's reward and help me burry him.

في ظلمة القبر لا أمٌ هناك ولا .... أبٌ شفيق ولا أخٌ يُؤنسني
In the darkness of the grave there is no mother that cares or a kind father, there is no brother to share my feelings with.

وهالني صورةٌ في العين إذ نظرت .... من هول مطلع ما قد كان أدهشني

من منكر ونكير ما أقول لهم .... قد هالني أمرهم جدا فأفزعني
وأقعدوني وجدوا في سؤالهمُ .... ما لي سواك إلهي منْ يُخلصني
And the angels came questioning me about my life what I did and what I achieved,
I was terrified of the whole situations. Oh God I have no one else but you

فامنن عليَّ بعفوٍ منك يا أملي .... فإنني موثقٌ بالذنب مرتَهَنِ
Oh god rescue me I am a hostage of sin, you are my hope bless me with forgiveness.

تقامم الأهل مالي بعدما انصرفوا .... وصار وزري على ظهري فأثقلني
My family and friends left me alone!

واستبدلت زوجتي بعلا لها بدلي .... وحكَّمته على الأموال والسكن
They went to share my heritage. My wife replaced me with a new husband!

وصيَّرت ولدي عبدا ليخدمها .... وصار مالي لهم حلا بلا ثمنِ

فلا تغرنك الدنيا وزينتها .... وانظر إلى فعلها في الأهل والوطن
Don't let this world impress you with its beauties

وانظر إلى من حوى الدنيا بأجمعها .... هل راح منها بغير الحنظ والكفن

خذ القناعة من دنياك وارضَ بها .... لو لم يكن لك إلا راحة البدن
Feel satisfied with what you got in this world

يا نفس كفي عن العصيان .... واكتسبي فعلا جميلا لعل الله يرحمني

يانفسُ ويحكِ توبي واعملي حسنا .... عسى تُجازين بعد الموت بالحسنِ

and the morning competed and spread his shadow in pride

والنور من كفيه شلال تدافق في عجاله
and the light flow in haste as a waterfall
