القاهرة | فيما كان يتوقع أن يضحك الجمهور من مقطع الفيديو الذي حمّله أحدهم أخيراً على يوتيوب، تحت عنوان «عمرو دياب خفة دم رهيبة ـــ حفلة دبي 2012»، جاءت النتيجة على العكس تماماً. أثار المقطع سخط الكثير من محبّي أغنية «رصيف نمرة خمسة» التي أداها المغني المصري في فيلم «آيس كريم في جليم» (1992) للمخرح خيري بشارة الذي يعدّ إحدى أبرز علامات السينما الغنائية المصرية خلال العقود الثلاثة الأخيرة. في أحداث الشريط، قدّم عمرو دياب الأغنية التي تولّى تلحينها شخصياً وكتب كلماتها الشاعر اليساري نور الذي أدّى دوره الممثل أشرف عبد الباقي. لكن في الحقيقة، فإنّ مؤلف الأغنية الأصلي هو كاتب السيناريو والحوار أيضاً مدحت العدل. تتطرّق الأغنية إلى المجتمع المصري تحت تأثيرات «الانفتاح» الاقتصادي، فيما تبدو مناسبة للسينما كمشهد عريض يتناول ـــ بكلمات بسيطة ـــ مفردات النسيج المصري بشوارعه وزحامه وفقرائه وأطفاله وباعته الجوالين «الغلابة» ورجال الـ«بيزنس».

ويعتبر اسم الأغنية إسقاطاً على إحدى كلاسيكيات السينما المصرية وهو فيلم المخرج نيازي مصطفى «رصيف نمرة خمسة» (1956). رصيف الميناء المزدحم في الفيلم الشهير (بطولة فريد شوقي وهدى سلطان ومحمود المليجي وزكي رستم ( يتحول في الأغنية إلى الشارع المصري بين نهاية الثمانينيات وبداية التسعينيات. «رصيف نمرة خمسة والشارع زحام/ وساكت كلامنا ما لاقي كلام/ تسالي يا خال؟ تدخن يا عم؟ تتوه المعاني في لساني لجام». بهذه الكلمات تصف الأغنية الزحمة والضوضاء، وتضيف: «كلاكس التروللي بيسور وداني/ وشحتة المزيّن بياكل وداني»، لتنتقل فجأة إلى بعد اقتصادي سياسي، فيخاطب المغني الفقير «نادي باريس» (المجموعة الدولية لجدولة ديون الدول الفقيرة) قائلاً: «يا نادي باريس/ تعالى حاسبني/ وجدول ديوني/ عشانه وعشاني».

بمفردات بسيطة، تتناول الأغنية أيضاً القسوة الاجتماعية «وعبد الله رشدي المحامي القدير/ بيرفع قضية في باب الوزير/ على عم فكري بتاع البليلة/ عشان مرة زعّق بصوته الجهير»، ثم تصف هوس الانفتاح: «بقالة الأمانة ونصحي السروجي/ عاملين لي شركة في مشروع بوتيك/ ونادوا لعبده الفرارجي يشاركهم/ فردّ بألاطة ما احبش شريك»، قبل أن تتطرّق إلى مآل الحياة في ظل المجتمع الاستهلاكي: «تبزنس تعيش لآخر حياتك/ ولو باعوا فرخة هاتاخد عمولة»، وصولاً إلى مجتمع يملأ شوارعه «أطفال عجايز/ في مهد الطفولة/ وأفلام قديمة وإعلان كاكولا»

ومنذ أيام، فوجئ مشاهدو الفيديو المحمّل على يوتيوب الذي انتشر بسرعة على فايسبوك، بـ«الهضبة» يغنّي المقطع الأخير من دون أن يذكر كلمة «كاكولا». لكنّ الخطوة ليست صدفة، فقد كرّرها النجم المصري مرّتين، مكتفياً بإشارة من يده، في ما بدا احتراماً أكثر من اللازم لتعاقده الإعلاني مع «بيبسي» )المنافس الشرس لكوكا كولا في سوق المشروبات الغازية)، وخصوصاً أنّ «كوكا كولا» استخدمت في الأغنية في سياق انتقادي. لكن ذلك لم يكن سوى واحد من الأمور الكاشفة في فيديو حفلة دبي، فقد قدم دياب للأغنية بأنّها ذات الكلمات غير المفهومة، إذ يحكي ساخراً: «أيام كنا بنتعلم في الأكاديمية )أكاديمية الفنون) كنت تلاقي ناس بيكتبوا: يا نخلة طالعة نازلة طارحة سنابل قمح، واحنا نقولهم برافو»، ثم قرر عمرو «نعمل أغنية زيهم»، قاصداً أغنية «غير مفهومة». ثم يقترح إطلاق مسابقة على الإنترنت لمن يفهم أغنية «رصيف نمرة خمسة» التي يصفها بأنّها «كانت في الفيلم اللي كنت عامله كده من ييجي عشرين سنة»، وقبل أن يغنيها، «يطمئن» الجمهور إلى أنّه سيغني بعدها أغنية «بصراحة بحبها». سخرية دياب من أغنيته تذكّر بمواقف شبيهة لفنانين آخرين. قبل سنوات، قالت آثار الحكيم إنّها أدّت دورها في شريط داود عبد السيد «البحث عن سيد مرزوق» (1991) من دون أن تفهم شيئاً في الفيلم. أما عادل إمام فقد أعلن أن مشاركته في «الحريف» (1983) ـــ تحفة محمد خان ـــ هي الدور الوحيد الذي ندم عليه. في فيلم «آيس كريم في جليم»، يرفض المغني المغمور سيف (عمرو دياب) أنّ يغني المزيد من أعمال الشاعر نور، لأنّه يريد أن يغني كلمات تعبّر عنه كشاب، بدلاً من «الحاجات اللي مش فاهمينها». المفاجأة، كما ظهرت في حفلة دبي، تكمن في أنّ موقف «المغني سيف» لم يكن موقف الشخصية فحسب، بل موقف عمرو نفسه.

International Workers’ Day (يوم العمّال العالمي) or often recognized as Labor Day (عيد العمّال) or May Day, is a national holiday in many Arab countries. States like Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and others consider Labor Day as a public holiday (إجازة عامة).

What do different countries across the globe and in the Arab world celebrate on Labor Day? This day honor (يكرّم) and pays tribute to the various demonstrations and protests unleashed by industrial workers against unfair work practices (ممارسات العمل غير العادلة). More specifically, these workers demonstrated for improving working conditions (ظروف العمل), wage raises (رفع الأجور) and the firm and clear establishment of a maximum working day (يوم عمل) and week. For example, workers struggled for the eight hour day movement or 40 hour week movement. Workers viewed the eight hour day as a balance between 8 hours (ثمانية ساعات) of labor (عمل), 8 hours of recreation (تسلية) and 8 hours of rest (راحة).

Eight Hour Day

Since the late 19^th century, workers have been demanding for better work conditions and the overwhelming majority of these demonstrations have been by suppressed by brutal force (قوة وحشية). Nevertheless, in many countries around the world, workers in various industries have been able to surmount many of the hardships that their forerunners faced during the late 19^th and which some still face to this very day.

Victory to the Workers!

Which political parties (الأحزاب السياسية) normally celebrate May Day around the world? In many countries, the working classes strive to commemorate Labor Day every year by shedding light on the long history of struggles. More specifically, various socialist (اشتراكية), anarchist and communist (شيوعية) groups are extremely active in orchestrating various demonstrations. In addition to left leaning political parties, many labor unions (النقابات العمالية) join in these protests as a sign of solidarity (تضامن) with workers’ rights (حقوق العمال).

Power to the Workers

For example, this year in Lebanon hundreds of foreign domestic workers (عمال المنازل الأجانب) marked May Day with a march to demand an end to the sponsorship system (نظام الكفالة). This sponsorship system largely affects the freedom and liberty of foreign workers and forces them into a perpetual ‘master/slave relationship.

Labor Day is an honorable celebration of the constant struggles that workers across the centuries have fought to attain (إكتساب) equal, fair and just rights. These struggles encompass the ones carried out by women in different countries to achieve equality with men at the workplace. While there is a still a long way to go, one cannot deny that much progress has been achieved. As a matter fact, we are all workers in our own ways, even if we sometimes fail to admit it. Look at your mother, father, sister, brother, cousin, teacher, boss, colleague or any individual in your life, and spend some time to acknowledge (عبّر عن شكرك لهم) their hard work and labor.

Workers protesting and asking for lower oil prices, higher minimum wage, stopping banking fraud, lowering prices of basic needs, and supporting public education.

As a member of the workforce, I salute the noble history of workers in the past, the present and those to come in the future. Your struggles at the turn of the 19^th century are the reason why in most workplaces we have the eight hour day. Can you imagine our current world without the various contributions and efforts of workers across the globe?
