Recently I've been searching for descriptions to help better describe my process working with photographs. Discouraged in not finding the words I was looking for, I decided to go back and search my personal art images to inspire my thoughts and hopefully find one that spoke to me and helped me translate my visual art into words. In the Andrea Aulettahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13741995877321650498noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562468164037320154.post-40428560533658059692013-04-02T19:58:00.002-07:002013-04-05T20:43:14.902-07:00The Painted Ladies
My posting today is my version of the Painted Ladies in San Francisco as sort of a personal postcard of my own. These houses are sometimes known as "Postcard Row" and as been in nearly 70 movies, TV programs and ads. That's a hefty resume! I hope my version gets as much attention! I loved this city and can't wait to go back one day. There many many interesting areas to Andrea Aulettahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13741995877321650498noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562468164037320154.post-52672846799965446822013-03-24T13:28:00.000-07:002013-03-29T17:28:10.563-07:00Fundamentals
Today I'm sharing a small portion
of my studies from the Art of Creative Cloning. I think it's ironic that part
of the word fundamentals is "fun" because this week didn't feel like
fun, but maybe that's because I am also new to the abundance of information at
the Artist Quarters. The first project was to crop the
eye portion from a portrait and create a sampler of the brushes Tim Shelbourne

I think it's cool my art post today will one day be associated with the

I learn something with every post, but sometimes not always what I learn has to do with Corel Painter or digital art. This post is an example of that. My how time flys and over 8,000 viewers to my blog, I was shocked to see when I posted last! So much has happened and I've decided to post one of my pieces that was still in the making that I touched up and textured. It's Official! My first painting post using Corel Painter 12! It's been a little challenging using the new layout and creating new habits to get my workflow back to where it was but I'm closer and with each new painting I know I will feel more comfortable. I started painting this piece after not being satisfied with another image that was to be a New Years post. Thousands of messages in a bottle are launched and lost, but when they turn up, it’s memorable for sender and recipient. I’m such a romantic; I love the mystery that surrounds bottles sent out to sea. Something as simple as putting on a hat can change your day and it can leave everyone wondering which is the more piece of work....you or your hat? Few women have ever been able to resist the temptation to try on a hat and discover in the mirror a person they never suspected was there. It is is with a sad heart that I post my latest painting, dedicated to our friend Elieen Philips Montgomery who lost her fight with cancer at the young age of 45. I think this is the smallest detail painting for me to date and one of my favorite moments that I captured during the races.
