Brand New Year

Its a brand new year and I’m ready! Things are looking better at work, downloads for my app are looking good. School starts next week, so we’ll see what the work load looks like.

Just like everyone else, I made a few new years resolutions:

-lose weight
-exercise
-stay organized
-stay on top of the laundry

Yea I know they’re all pretty typical, but thats ok, just means I’m normal! Lets just hope I atypically accomplish some of these. Be honest, how many of you out there actually accomplish your new years resolutions?

Winter Break

Classes are finally over, my app is soon to be submitted at work, and I’m a little more relaxed.
I am really looking forward to getting something submitted to the apple store, I’ve worked on this project for quite some time now and I’m ready to have the first version released.

Crossing my fingers it’ll be sent tomorrow!

Grad School + Work = ?

The combination of full time work and part time grad school is about to hit the fan.

My boss has indicated that I need to start “burning the midnight oils” to make some hard deadlines on my project. I don’t know what the deadlines are yet, all I know is I have an exam next week and working 60 hour weeks is just not a real option, if I want to sleep and maintain my grades. I hope I don’t have to make that choice, because I really don’t know which I would choose, or what my body will choose for me.

I guess all I’m asking for is, a little support, and possibly understanding, should I go flying off the handles. If I’m rude, I don’t mean it, if I seem like I’m not listening, I’m sorry. Bear with me, things will be alright.

A Night at Tokyo One

Tokyo One is now my favorite Japanese restaurant. I was not expecting a sushi buffet, with good quality sushi no less! Its not the best sushi I’ve ever had, but when you get to try 10 different kinds, and get to eat hot foods as well, there is no comparison. Its definitely worth the price, though I might try it at lunch sometime, just to see if the food selection is comparable.

Unfortunately, I was so enthralled with the food selection I forgot to take any pictures. John and I wondered how they could even keep this place open, with all you can eat snow crab legs, clams and oysters. This will most likely not be out last time going, though only occasionally, due to the price.

Fancy Dinner Indeed

We are going out to Tokyo One for dinner tonight, I’m pretty excited because it’s supposed to one if the best places for sushi in Dallas.

If I think about it I’ll try to take some pictures of all the crazy looking sushi!

Our New Coffee Table

This is our new coffee table, given to us by my aunt. Its older than I am, and in great condition. To my surprise, the fabric on the stools matches our couch! I am looking forward to making many memories around this table, like the ones my aunt has made over the last 20 or so years she’s had it.

Its been so long..

Its been so long since I’ve had a chance to sit down and write something here. School is about to start, so I’m not sure if I’ll have more time to blog or not. Might be a good use of my time while I’m waiting for the teacher to show .

Exciting news! Last night I got a call from my Aunt asking if wanted her coffee table. I was so excited to hear this, because 1. we are in need of a square coffee table for our sectional couch, and 2. I love this coffee table. It reminds me of all the times when I was a little girl and we visited my Aunt for christmas. She would make punch with sherbet and I would get to sit and talk to her while she cooked her famous spaghetti. On christmas eve, my Uncle put out hay and carrots for the reindeer, and I would get sent to bed so Santa could come. There are so many memories wrapped up in their old house and I can’t wait to bring a piece of it into mine. I know every time I look at it I will be reminded of happy times spent together with family.
