The local train services on Mumbai Central line halted when a water pipeline collapsed on top of a running train near Thane-Mulund route. At least two persons including the local train driver were killed and eleven others injured when a water pipeline along with part of a bridge fell on a moving train between Mulund and Thane station disrupting train services on the Central Line in Mumbai.

We all know Dipawali is the festival of Light. There are so many mythical and historical reasons why Diwali is a great time to celebrate. This festival is celebrated for five continuous days, with the third day being celebrated as the main Deepawali or as 'Festival of Lights' where the lights or lamps signify victory of good over the evil within every human being.

The occasion is marked by visit to the local temple to worship the shrine of Lakshmi, which they have made for Diwali. Eating special sweets, burning of incense sticks, lighting the home and surroundings. Every Indian eagerly waits for the festival of Deepawali as it is the best of all festivals. Homes are cleaned, new clothes are stitched, sweets and other savoury dishes are prepared for the festival and in the night of Diwali Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped.

This day is also a special Day for Araya Samaj .This day Maharshi Dayananda, one of the greatest reformers of Hinduism and the founder of Arya Samaj attained his nirvana. Mahavir Tirthankar, considered to be the founder of modern Jainism also attained his nirvana on Dipawali day so it is also a special day for jain also.

In 1577, the foundation stone of the Golden Temple at Amritsar was laid on Diwali. In 1619, the sixth Sikh Guru Hargobind, who was held by the Mughal Emperor Jahangir, was released from the Gwalior fort along with 52 kings.

Diwali is associated with wealth and prosperity in many ways, and the festival of 'Dhanteras' is celebrated two days before the festival of lights. Diwali is celebrated around the globe. Outside India, it is more than a Hindu festival.

This Year Barack Obama celebrated Diwali by lighting the ceremonial lamp at the White House amidst chanting of Vedic mantras seeking world peace, becoming the first US President to personally grace the occasion.

Psycho dad of Vasai locked up 3 daughters for years

A 60-year-old Vasai man Francis Gomes, was arrested on Wednesday on charges of keeping his wife Thresa and three daughters confined at home for 7 years.. Read a terror horror story of Vasai.

Theresa told the cops that he would leave home every day in the morning after ensuring that the windows were sealed and power was switched off. He would then lock the door from outside to give the impression that the family was away. She told the police that they would go without food for days and would look for help whenever they met someone.

Francis,the psyco dad,told several people that a few years ago Barbara had returned home one day after being physically abused. He had then beaten her up so badly that it damaged her neck.

A court in Mumbai on Thursday sent Francis Gomes, the man who allegedly kept his wife and daughters under forced confinement for seven years, to 15 days in judicial custody.

The Dasara in Gujarat are followed by 9 nights of singing and dancing. Dasara, also called Navaratri, is among the most important festivals celebrated in India. Dasha-hara in sanskrit means the "remover of bad fate". This day also marks the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana.This day is symbol of victory of good over evil. People visit each other and exchange sweets.When Rama had returned to Ayodhya after a very long period, there was a celebration for the victory over Ravana.

Dussehra festival is also the day to worship the weapons as well. According to the Mahabharat, another epic, Arjuna the Pandav prince, concealed his weapons in a shami tree when Pandavas were on exile. After a year they came out of the forest and retrieved their weapons on the day of Dussehra and they worshipped their weapons along with the shami tree.

Navratri celebrations, the tenth day is celebrated as Dussehra. On this day, devotees also perform 'Saraswati Puja', for blessings of knowledge and mental peace. On the day, the burning of the dummy of demon king Ravana also takes place.

Child abuse can destroy a life. The person may go away but the scars are left behind forever. It is impossible to erase them from the victim’s memory. It often becomes a lifelong saga.

Child Abuse in a rampant problem glaring in our faces. It is our children we happen to be talking about and we need to protect them. We need to make sure that the laws in our country are implemented and we mustn’t let the criminal walk away as this will only encourage him.

Listen to your child and believe him.
Never scold your child if he approaches you with a problem
Tell him to raise his voice if he feels uncomfortable around a stranger/relative/person
Never leave your children with neighbors, friends, relatives, servants, and drivers
Spend quality time with your children
Remember that your child is your responsibility and any particular action can destroy or build the faith
Never make the child feel guilty for something he/she is not responsible for
If your child behaves strangely due to some reason discuss it with him
If your child suddenly stops socializing, talk to him
If he/she refuses to go near a specific person, do not force him

Recognize the Warning Signs:The behavior of children may signal abuse or neglect long before any change in physical appearance. Some of the signs may include:

Nervousness around adults
Aggression toward adults or other children
Inability to stay awake or to concentrate for extended periods -Sudden, dramatic changes in personality or activities.
Unnatural interest in sex.
Frequent or unexplained bruises or injuries
Low self-esteem
Poor hygiene

Sex assault Physical and emotional abuse is very common. A SURVEY sponsored by Indian Ministry of Women and Child Development was carried out by a NGO "Prayas" in association with Unicef and save the children clearly depicted that more than 53 per cent of children in India were sexually abused and the majority of victims didn’t dare to report the abuse.

Some Major findings of survey.

5-12 years children are most at risk.
two out of every three children were physically abused.
53.22% of children faced one or another form of sex abuse.
Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar and Assam reported the highest percentage of sex abuse.
50% abuses are persons known to child.

Sex Abuse: a very large number of people feel that child abuse is a western problem and child sexual abuse does not happen in India. Which is totally wrong.53.22% of children in India faced one or another form of sex abuse and 50% abuses are persons known to child.

Forms of sex abuses:

Assault,Including Rape and sodomy.
Touching or fondling the child.
Forcing child to exhibit his/her private parts.
Taking photo of child in nude.
forcible Kissing.
Exhibiting before the child.
Exposing child to pornographic materials.

Today i was reading any heart breaking story mumbai mirror. of survived child Jyoti by accident.

Jyoti had been found unconscious, lying near the Umela Phata area between Naigaon and Vasai stations. Passers-by saw the girl and rushed her to the PHC after intimating the Vasai police.Jyoti was apparently thrown out of a running train by her mother on Wednesday night. But the large-hearted little one has already forgiven her mother, and has been pleading with doctors to be sent to her.

There are so many possiblities in this case which will come out after police enquiry.

There is no doubt - Forgiveness Is True Love." This Little angel Kid taught us What is love? What do we understand by loving someone?

Vasai Fort brief:

The Muslim rulers began to construct a fortress in 1532.
The Portuguese fought with them, conquered the fortress on 20^th January, 1533 and destroyed it the same evening.
During the period 1590 – 1600 the Portuguese put up a rampart wall around the ‘Portuguese township’ which is now commonly called the Vasai Fort.
“In February 1739, the Marathas hoisted their saffron flog and after a desperate resistance on 16th May 1739 the Portuguese signed surrender.
In 1818, Vasai along with other territories was conquered by the British to form the Bombay Presidency.
In 1917, The Government of Bombay declared the fort area as a protected area under the provision of section 3 of the Ancient Monuments Preservation Acts VII of 1904.

The fort is often used for shooting Bollywood film scenes. The films shot here include Manoj kumar;s Kranti Josh, Khamoshi, Ram Gopal Verma's Aag etc.

How to visit:

Vasai falls in the western railway track if you are to travel from Churchgate station in Bombay to Virar. The fifth station after Borivali towards Virar. Get off at Vasai Road. Come over to the western side of the station and take an Auto rickshaw to Vasai Fort. Full Auto only drop Rs 60 - 80/ Share avoidable.You can also get busses from outside the Vasai Station to Vasai Fort (Killabandar) starting as early as 5 am past midnight. However, for the first timer, auto is the preferred mode of communication.

Its not advisable for tourists ,couple or women to visit this place in the evening.

Phishing e-mail messages are designed to steal your identity. They ask for personal data, or direct you to Web sites or phone numbers to call where they ask you to provide personal data.

A phishing attempt usually is in the form of an e-mail that appears to be from your bank or financial institution, or a company you regularly do business with. Some times they also ask you to make a phone call. Phone phishing scams direct you to call a customer support phone number. A person or an audio response unit waits to take your account number, personal identification number, password, or other valuable personal data.

Here are a few phrases to look for if you think an e-mail message is a phishing scam.

"If you don't respond within 48 hours, your account will be closed."
"You have won the lottery."
"Verify your account."
"Click the link below to gain access to your account."

So take precaution and Never respond to emails that request personal financial information and never click on link given by them.

Reputable companies don't ask their customers for passwords or account details in an email. Even if you think the email may be legitimate, don't respond - contact the company by phone or by visiting their website by typing URL into the address bar.

Vasai Urban Credit Cooperative Bank’s agent Vaishali More cheated a trader Arvind Kapadia.Mr kapadia used to deposit in Dainandin Tev Yojna of Vasai Urban Credit Cooperative Bank by giving amount to an agent vaishali more.Over the past 2 years, Vaishali More, an agent for Vasai Urban Credit Cooperative Bank, had collected deposits from account holders, which she allegedly never deposited at the bank.

Before April 1, 2009, if you had to use the ATM of any bank with whom you don't have any banking relationship, you ended up paying fees. It meant you had to find the closest ATM belonging to your bank to withdraw cash and make balance inquiries. So RBI introduced a directive to the banks to allow free use of ATM machines irrespective of which bank a customer had accounts with.

This meant that irrespective of which bank you bank with, you could use any other bank's ATM free of cost.

However, now The Reserve Bank of India has decided to put a cap of Rs 10,000 per withdrawal in such (third party) transactions. Also, the number of such transactions will be limited to five times a month from 1st october 2009.

The Indian Banks Association (IBA), proposes to levy a transaction fee of Rs.20 per transaction for using another bank's ATM, Beyond five transactions.
