BOLEH PINTAR TAPI INTEGRITAS DAN KEJUJURAN LEBIH PENTING

DUA belas tahun silam, seorang wanita dari Asia (tak usah sebut nama negaranya) datang ke Prancis untuk kuliah di salah satu universitas terkenal di Paris.

Dia memang cerdas, bahasa Prancis dan Inggris-nya juga sangat baik sehingga lulus seleksi.

Sejak mulai kuliah di hari pertama, dia perhatikan bahwa sistem transportasi di Paris menggunakan sistem otomatis.

Artinya, Anda beli tiket sesuai dengan tujuan melalui mesin.

Setiap perhentian kendaraan umum, memakai cara self-service dan jarang sekali diperiksa petugas.

Bahkan pemeriksaan insidentil oleh petugas pun hampir tidak ada, bukan karena manajemennya buruk tapi unsur _trust_ dan tertib sosial di sistem transportasi Kota Paris memang sudah baik.

Akhirnya lama kelamaan dia temukan kelemahan sistem ini, dan dengan kelihaiannya itu dia bisa naik transportasi umum tanpa harus beli tiket dan dia sudah memperhitungkan kemungkinan tertangkap petugas karena tidak beli tiket, sangat kecil.

Sejak itu, dia selalu naik kendaraan umum dengan tidak membayar tiket.

Ia justru menganggapnya sebagai salah satu cara penghematan sebagai mahasiswa miskin yang dengan cara apapun kalau bisa irit, ya diirit.

Dia bahkan merasa bangga karena dianggapnya itu sebagai kehebatan yang tidak bisa dilakukan oleh sembarang orang.

Empat tahun berlalu, perempuan muda itu pun tamat dengan cum laude dari fakultas favorit dan universitas ternama di Paris dengan angka indeks prestasi kumulatif (IPK) yang sangat bagus.

Hal itu membuat dirinya penuh percaya diri.

Setelah wisuda, gadis itu pun mulai mengajukan aplikasi surat lamaran kerja ke beberapa perusahan ternama di Paris.

Pada mulanya, semua perusahan yang dikirimi surat lamaran via email merespon dengan karena IPK-nya yang tinggi dan lulusan universitas top di Paris.

Tapi beberapa hari kemudian, semuanya menolaknya dengan berbagai alasan.

Hal ini terus terjadi berulang kali sampai akhirnya membuatnya merasa jengkel dan marah.

Dia bahkan sampai menuding perusahaan-perusahaan itu rasis karena tidak mau menerima warga negara asing meski lulus cum laude dari universitas ternama di Paris.

Akhirnya, pada suatu hari karena penasaran bercampur dongkol ia memutuskan untuk mengadukannya ke Departemen Tenaga Kerja Prancis di Paris.

Dia ingin melapor sekaligus ingin tahu kenapa perusahaan-perusahaan tersebut menolaknya.

Tapi, ketika bertemu dengan salah satu manager di kantor Depnaker Paris tersebut, ia mendapat penjelasan yang ia dapat di luar perkiraannya.

Berikut adalah dialog mereka.

Manager:

Nona, kami tidak rasis, sebaliknya kami sangat mementingkan Anda.

Pada saat anda mengajukan aplikasi pekerjaan di perusahan, kami sangat terkesan dengan nilai akademis dan pencapaian Anda.

Sesungguhnya, berdasarkan kemampuan, Anda sebenarnya adalah golongan pekerja yang kami cari-cari."

Nona:

Kalau begitu, kenapa perusahan-perusahaan tersebut tidak menerima saya bekerja?

Manager:

Jadi begini, setelah kami periksa di _database,_ kami menemukan data bahwa Nona pernah tiga kali kena sanksi tidak membayar tiket saat naik kendaraan umum.

Nona

(kaget): Ya, saya mengakuinya. Tapi, apakah karena perkara kecil tersebut semua perusahaan boleh menolak saya?

Manager:

Perkara kecil?

Kami tidak menganggap itu perkara kecil, Nona.

Kami lihat di database, Anda pertama kali melanggar hukum terjadi di minggu pertama Anda masuk di negara ini.

Saat itu petugas percaya dengan penjelasan yang Anda bahwa Anda masih belum mengerti sistem transportasi umum di sini. Itu sebabnya kesalahan tersebut diampuni. Namun Anda tertangkap dua kali lagi setelah itu.

Nona:

Ohh, waktu itu karena tidak ada uang kecil saja.

Manager:

Tidak, tidak. Kami tidak bisa terima penjelasan Anda. Jangan anggap kami bodoh. Kami yakin Anda telah melakukannya ratusan kali sebelum tertangkap.

Nona:

Well, baiklah. Tapi, itu kan bukan kesalahan mematikan ..'? Kenapa harus begitu serius? Lain kali saya perbaiki dan berubah kan masih bisa?

Manager:

Maaf, kami tidak menganggap demikian, Nona. Perbuatan Anda membuktikan dua hal:

Pertama, Anda tidak mau mengikuti peraturan yang ada. Anda pintar mencari kelemahan dalam peraturan dan memanfaatkannya untuk diri sendiri.

Kedua, Anda tidak bisa dipercaya !

Nona, banyak pekerjaan di berbagai perusahaan di negara Prancis ini bergantung pada kepercayaan atau _trust. Jika Anda diberikan tanggung jawab atas tugas di sebuah wilayah, maka Anda akan diberikan kuasa yang besar. Karena efisiensi biaya, kami tidak akan memakai sistem kontrol untuk mengawasi pekerjaanmu.

Hampir semua perusahan besar di Prancis ini mirip dengan sistem transportasi di negeri ini. Oleh sebab itu, kami tidak bisa menerima Anda, Nona.

Dan saya berani katakan, di negara kami bahkan seluruh Eropa, tidak akan ada perusahan yang mau menggunakan jasa Anda.

Pada saat itu, wanita ini seperti tertampar dan terbangun dari mimpinya dan merasa sangat menyesal. Tapi, penyesalan selalu datang terlambat ketika nasi sudah jadi bubur atau peristiwa buruk telah terjadi.

Perkataan manager yang terakhir membuat hatinya bergetar dan sangat menyesal.

Ia akhirnya terdiam seribu bahasa tidak bisa berkata apapun.

Ada pesan moral yang sangat berharga yang bisa kita petik dari kisah nyata mahasiswi pintar tersebut. Moral dan etika (attitude) itu amat sangat penting, bahkan ditempatkan di atas kepintaran, kecerdasan atau kegeniusan.

Dalam kehidupan sosial, moral dan etika (attitude) seseorang bisa menutupi kekurangan IQ atau kepintaran intelektual. Tetapi IQ atau kepintaran, bagaimanapun tingginya, tidak akan bisa menolong etika moral dan integritas yang buruk.

Samuel Johnson (1709-1784), sastrawan Inggris mengatakan: Knowledge without integrity is dangerous and dreadful. (Pengetahuan tanpa integritas pasti berbahaya dan mengerikan).

Clive S Lewis (1898-1963), profesor di Universitas Oxford dan penulis novel terkenal Inggris mengatakan: Integritas adalah melakukan hal yang benar, ketika tidak ada yang melihat. Integritas dan kejujuran adalah kekayaan paling jarang dimiliki manusia.

1. Huang Ti Sen, Huang Ti Gu (Badan raja, tulangnya juga tulang raja).
Golongan ini utk, org kaya & jiwanya juga kaya & bisa menggunakan kekayaannya utk dinikmati, juga mau berbuat Amal / Kebajikan.

2. Huang Ti Sen, Ji Kai Gu (Badan raja, tapi tulang pengemis). Golongan ini menggambarkan, org kaya tapi gak bisa menikmati uangnya. Kerjanya sibuk terus menerus utk mencari uang. Jgn kan utk berbuat kebajikan, setiap tindakannya saja dihitung untung-rugi nya. Memiliki mobil bagus cuma bisa di-elus2 saja, malah banyak supir atau pegawainya yg pakai. Dunianya cuma toko atau tempat kerjanya. Tahu2 sdh tua.

3. Ji Kai Sen, Huang Ti Gu (Badan pengemis, tapi tulang raja). Golongan ini menggambarkan, org2 yg secara materi biasa2 saja, tapi bisa menikmati hidupnya. Walaupun hidupnya pas2an, tapi bermental kelimpahan & berjiwa sosial.

4 Ji Kai Sen, Ji Kai Gu (Badan pengemis, tulang juga pengemis). Golongan ini paling parah, sudah miskin bermental pengemis... sudah gak punya duit, mentalnya minta dikasihani terus, istilah kerennya bermental "poor me" atau kasihanilah saya.

AYO KITA TERMASUK YG MANA YA?

Dalam menjalani kehidupan ini, jika kita benar2 menjalankan ajaran kebajikan dgn benar, maka tdk mungkin bisa sampai terpuruk.

Yang mesti diingat bahwa, "Tidak punya uang itu hanya bersifat sementara, tapi kalau merasa Miskin itu Mental yg akan terus menempel dlm Pikiran & Perbuatan...

BELAJARLAH HIDUP CHIN CHAI

Orang tua selalu menasehati kita kalau mau hidup banyak sahabat, relasi yang baik, keluarga harmonis, dagangan lancar dan hidup menjadi santai dan enjoy, maka jadilah orang yang "chin chai".

Chin chai artinya tidak terlalu banyak perhitungan plus Easy Going....

Orang yang terlalu perhitungan setiap detik, otaknya dipenuhi dengan angka angka. Jiwanya disesaki oleh dua kata yang paling penting dalam hidupnya yaitu UNTUNG dan RUGI....

Hatinya selalu Cemas dan Gelisah memikirkan bagaimana meraup keuntungan habis habisan dan memblokir semua bentuk kerugian....

Serambut kerugian dipandang serius dan besar bagai Gunung Semeru. Suka Tarik Urat, bersilat lidah, ngotot dan gontok gontokan, hanya untuk masalah sepele....

Orang yang perhitungan tak pernah mau mengalah apa lagi memberi dan berkorban. Sikap perhitungan membuat hidup tegang, kuatir, capek dan menderita.....

Belajarlah menjadi "chin chai".
Orang 'chin chai' selalu mengalah dan memberi, toleransi dan pengertian, gampang bekerja sama, mudah diajak berunding, sehingga punya banyak sahabat....

Terkadang ukuran sepatu atau sandal berbeda-beda untuk setiap merk, mungkin pernah juga mengalami, contoh biasanya memakai ukuran no. 38, ternyata waktu mencoba ukuran sepatu atau sandal no. 38 untuk sepatu atau sandal merk yang lain, ukurannya agak kekecilan atau kebesaran. ada juga beberapa toko yang menyediakan langsung di tokonya alat untuk pengukaran kaki.

Nah untuk pembelian sepatu atau sandal secara online,kita tidak bisa mencoba sepatu atau sandal yang akan di beli. Jadi sebelum memesan sepatu atau sandal, sebaiknya ketahui dulu berapa panjang kaki sebenarnya, biar nanti tidak kecewa dengan pesanan sepatu yang di pesan.

Bagaimana caranya???

Cara yang sederhana adalah dengan membuat cetakan kaki, dengan menggunakan sebuah pensil, gambar cetakan kaki di selembar kertas A4 , ukur dari ujung jari kaki paling panjang hingga ujung tumit paling belakang.

Berikut juga bagian kaki yang perlu diukur untuk jenis sepatu atau sandal yang beragam :

- Lebar kaki

Lebar dan panjang kaki bisa didapatkan dengan cara menggambar kaki di atas selembar kertas. Lebar kaki diukur dari bagian tulang yang menonjol di bagian dalam kaki.

- Lingkar Depan

Lingkar depan sangat dibutuhkan apabila kaki memiliki tulang kaki bagian dalam yang sangat menonjol. Ukurlah lingkar depan dengan menggunakan meteran penjahit.

- Lingkar Atas

Lingkar atas dibutuhkan untuk sepatu yang menutup bagian atas depan kaki.

- Tiang Belakang

Ukuran tiang belakang dibutuhkan untuk model sepatu yang menggunakan tali pergelangan dan model sepatu sling back.

- Lingkar Pergelangan

Ukuran lingkar pergelangan sangat penting untuk model sepatu yang menggunakan tali pergelangan.

Silahkan mengecek detail size / ukuran sepatu atau sandal yang sesuai dengan ukuran kaki dibawah ini:

*26 = 13cm

*27 = 14cm

2. Gambar kaki sesuai dengan bentuknya

3. Setelah selesai, ukur gambar kaki dengan meteran atau penggaris dari mulai ujung jari yang terpanjang sampai dengan lingkar belakang. Dari proses ini kita dapat mengetahui panjang kaki dimana panjang kaki menjadi salah satu komponen terpenting dalam menentukan size sepatu yang sesuai dengan kaki.
