Things are heating up all over the planet, and the BS is about the hit the fan.  More importantly…..whose fan will it hit?  Yours, ours, theirs, everyone’s?  .  “Preparing for the worst and hoping for the best” seems to be the answer for many, and yet……. 

I cannot help but wonder if that approach still works and if so, does it for most, or just some? 

WHAT HAPPENED?

• Did we outgrow it? 
• Was there a shift?
• What would a new approach be? 
• Know what to do when uncertainty seems to rule even over the coolest heads? 

WHAT TO DO?

I suggest we approach this new normal or abnormal, if there is one, from a different perspective, a different angle, because at the end of the day, cooler heads must prevail and Faith, if in anything but yourself, must be your badge of pride, honor and consequences.

NOT one size fits all, NOT even most.  Your decisions must be based on what’s important to you, and you are not like everybody else, even when you may think you are at a basic level.”    You are YOU with your own uniqueness, dreams, ambitions and issues.  So let’s start there, shall we.

PROCEED WITH:

• What has dramatically changed in your world in the past 12 months?
• Was there a huge lesson learned?
• Have you lost something valuable?
• Think of what you gained
• Are there new problems that need solved?
• What have you done to try to solve them?
• Is there anything else to be contemplated as alternative solutions?

Is it time to re-assess:

• Your position in Life along with your purpose.
• Your values even if at a core level, have they changed?
  If so, are you willing to change them and commit to the change?

Are you ready to acknowledge the people in your life?

• Who has been there before?
• Who is still there and you appreciate that person with all your heart?
• Who will be there in the future?
• Is it time for a big Thank You, show your appreciation by choice and not obligation?  If so, do this one right now, I mean ASAP.

Perhaps create something new, and approach from a different angle?

• Is it time to Retrieve?
• Perhaps stay put and wait for change to happen by default?
• Is it time to move forward or even sideways?
• Perhaps a new path or a new journey?
• Setting new GOALS?
• How about a new Operating System (OS) for your already too tired brain, so that you can renew your grey cells and come up with brilliant ideas?
• Or is it time for a new way of being?

All this and much more is possible.  Up to you to decide what suits you best and follow your own lead.

In the interim, think about:

• What astounds you?
• Have you noticed a change in yourself in the past 6 months, if so, what?
• Would there be a new thing you’d like to try, or even do right away?
• Above all, think about what keeps you curious?

It is people like you dear friend, that will change the course of life on earth as we know it.  You are building the legacy for others to follow.  You are a proud member of our society.

There is so much more that we can accomplish together than alone.  That is why the graphic below is so compelling to me because TOGETHER, we can change the world.

Are we ever going back to normal, was there ever a normal, is there a new normal?

We have been witnessing history in the making…and not of the best kind.

The Corona Virus has left our world upside down and backwards.  It has brought the worst in people, it has brought the best in people.  It has left many of us in perennial mourning, and the new cases of mental illnesses, emotional instability and fear of the unknown, has many shaking in their proverbial boots, and rightfully so.

Though all the upheavals in the world is forcing us to look at things from a different perspective and making us work together with each other, and not alone in corners as solo travelers in a planet full of wonderment, we must realize that a new reality must be addressed head-on and only the innovators, the brave, the resilient the game-changers will not only survive, but thrive. 

WHAT’S TO HAPPEN NEXT?

Think about:

1. What problems do we solve? 

2. What value do we add? 

3. What innovation do we foresee for a better future ahead?

We must come up with answers to these questions, and then some!  No more sitting on the sidelines.  The time to speak up and act is NOW, otherwise, what will our future look like?  What will your legacy be?

This is the story of a lesson from a broken bottle, but not just any broken bottle, but a very unique PERFUME bottle and how what we think and vibrate to…..attracts just what we don’t want and rejects what we do want.   Who knew what would happen next would be life changing. So this story is a lesson on just that and how to shift it to get what you DO want.

NO, my perfume bottle was not a Chanel but a very unique French perfume found only in the south of France.  They do NOT sell in department stores, only direct from the company. You pretty much have to go there to get it.  Its name is Emilié by Fragonard.  They are not as expensive as you’d think but the flowers that make the perfume, are only grown in that region, and they are a fourth generation family owned and operated business.  Plus while I was there years ago,  they tested my chemistry and Emilié was the perfect match.

I have had many bottles through the years and I was down to my last one.   I was so careful to only use a little bit at a time, and not every day, and in my head the picture kept on playing that it was MY LAST BOTTLE.  It literally was liquid gold to me.  I had just opened it up for my birthday on November 29. 

You know how you use certain things for special occasions only…..well,  STOP IT!!!   Needless to say that in my head the talk kept on going that this was my last bottle and God knows when will I be able to get a couple more.  So the inner talk kept at it and very soon, it had a conversation all of its own with my awareness level dropping to a ridiculous low.I know better, but I forgot to put into practice what I already knew.  STOP THE INNER TALK and shift it to a grateful one, as in, this is not my last bottle, there will be more.

So yesterday, as I opened my bottle to use it, it slipped through my fingers and fell to the floor, breaking in half with my liquid gold running on the floor all over that side of the bedroom. 

Therefore, what I thought, even feared and vibrated to, without FULL awareness……became a reality:

It literally became MY LAST BOTTLE of such precious perfume.

Moral of the story:  Watch your thoughts, your vibrations and stay away from the awful fear of SCARCITY.  

That´s how life goes and so does business.  What you think, what you vibrate to, becomes a reality.  I am not asking you to think positive, I am simply asking you to think of WHAT´S NEXT in the realm of possibilities.  Nothing is the LAST OF ANYTHING because something else is already on its way to you, otherwise, it will literally be the LAST of whatever it is you DON´T WANT to see happen or lose.    Connect head and heart.  Scarcity is like a Casino, the House always WINS.  Don´t fall for it.  Do not lose your precious liquid gold, whatever that means or looks like to you.

Next time you find yourself saying “This is the last of……”   Remember, more of the same or even better ….is already on its way to you.  Believe, do not doubt, trust the process.

WHAT A YEAR, right?  More to the point, what a decade!  I’m sad to see 2019 go as it was one of the best years in my adult life unlike 2017, which was the worst.  

This year I was guided by my “one-word-theme”  RISK and as terrified as I was once I said it out-loud….The excitement was greater than the fear, and not knowing whether I had the courage to see my goals through, I did it anyway. 

I left the United States in January and spent the first 3 months in Spain at the invitation of friends and clients who needed my help, and by April, I moved to Costa Rica where I didn’t know a soul, and I’m not looking back.  Best decision!

These past ten years taught me humility, resilience, faith deeper than all oceans, as I had it all and lost it all, and lost it some more. Yes, many, many humble pies.  However, the insights I gained, are priceless. 

True friends showed up to help with so much love in their hearts, it was contagious, and my heart opened as well to love even more than I thought possible.

They made me realized how important it is to be proud of who you are, and to never suffer in silence, so much so, that this is a new passion of mine, unless by choice, I’m here to help those in need of a confidant, a mentor, or even a confessor to shed their tears.  I am here for you, and it is as easy as clicking here:

Is Friday good for you?

Most marketers tell you Friday is not a good day to send emails to your list.  Frankly, I trust it is as I’m following my heart, though at this point, it is  not about marketing, but about having a simple conversation and I don’t care about what other marketers are saying.

I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with all the atrocities we know are happening around the world, and as an Empath, I am having a triple whammy.

However, I am here to help those who are feeling the pain.  I’m a pro at understanding what most people don’t, so know I’m here for you and I do get what you’re feeling.

The times of staying on the sidelines are over, and whatever you stand FOR….speak-up, say what’s on your mind, and make others know what is important to you, but by no means stay silent. The Silent Complicity cannot go on.

When we say nothing, do nothing, we become part of the problem and our silence and lack of action, encourage others to continue the behavior that we so much DON’T STAND FOR.

I’ve noticed lately, my soul goes briefly to different places at once. It feels like some sort of time travel.   It is like I am here, and then I’m not and yet I am.   It all happens in a nano second of time. Why it’s happening? I have no clue, but the trip itself is very energizing, even enlightening. It’s like my mind gets expanded and so does my heart.

I know my God laughs with me, and we both get a kick out of the whole thing, but it is an interesting experience, to say the least.  Someday I will know why, then again, I may not need to.

Since I’ve moved to the West Coast as in the Pacific Ring of Fire,  I have been experiencing a lot of past childhood memories, as well as some that go way beyond childhood.  This profound experience is changing me each and every day.

The icing on the cake?  I have more love in my heart now than I’ve ever felt before.  Sometimes,  tears run down my face because of how much love I feel for so many and for so much.

If you’re feeling what I’m feeling and want someone to talk to, let’s hug each other over a video or audio chat, and speak soul to soul, as I feel this is more needed now than ever before.

You do not need to be in silence when there’s someone that can mentor you, coach you and cheer you all the way to where you need to be.

When does Courage count the most? — When speaking your truth is at odds with your passion!

I’m a natural born Empath with intense Passion for serving others in my capacity as professional coach, mentor and confidant.

However, lately, Empathy and Passion have found themselves at odds in the way I speak my truth and express my mind and soul.

You see, my sense of Empathy takes me to feel what others are feeling, and in many instances, I feel their pain, as profound as it may be, I can feel it.  Often I become overwhelmed with compassion and sorrow for what they’re going through.  I do the mourning for them.

And then, in comes Passion.  As a 6 year-old, my mother used to say that I  always did things with deep intensity, enthusiasm and joy…. never half-way or wishy-washy.  Yes, it is the fire of my passion that burns wild to this day and I embrace it with love and dignity as it is who I am.

So what happens when Passion and Empathy meet simultaneously with the same intensity?  It can cause an explosion of deep compassion and sorrow combined with a deep sense of anger and righteous indignation.  Which after learning about the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, it was exactly what happened.  Neither my head nor my heart could take it anymore.  This is a statement about the spirit, and not about politics, though the latter, is a trigger.

For a while now, I’ve been caught between anger and empathy. And they both hold me back as the combination is completely nonsensical. 

I say nothing when in anger as I know it will not lead to where I want to go, and I say nothing when feeling empathetic, as compassion combined with anger, leaves me thinking a lot, feeling a lot, and saying not a hell of a lot. I have not been able to know exactly what I needed to do in order to say what I needed to say while setting an example for others of love, peace and harmony. What a balancing act, and frankly, I got sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. Of shedding tears and feeling my heart torn to pieces over the injustices I am witnessing.

I was a child when the communist Cuban revolution took place and I saw the horrors of what one crazed leader, high on power and self-serving narcissism, hell-bent on division, chaos and confusion, did to destroy a country.

We all need to take a stand as to what’s right for us individually and collectively, and as leaders, we also need to set an example of how to lead with strengths and love, rather than weakness and hate.

One of my many passions is to make sure you don’t suffer alone, you don’t cry alone, you are not shedding tears in silence as I know, through my own personal experiences, that no one should ever go through that in solitude and aloness. I am here to relieve your stress, hear you out, comfort you and guide you. Bluntly put: I AM HERE.

I choose love and understanding to lead the way because a country united by common strengths, values and passion, cannot fall.

Lead with your strengths and stand in your power so that you too, can make a difference as you build your legacy of how you want to be remembered. Let’s create a vision for a better world….And if you are at odds with your truth, I am here to help.

The mind gets clouded when decisions have to be made in the middle of difficult times. You could be mourning the loss of a loved-one, or having a financial crisis of tremendous magnitude, and yet, it so happens that decisions still have to be made and sometimes, it can not wait for you to be done with honoring your losses.

It’s tough. I know.

I’m giving you the following pointers in order to help your decision-making process:

• As simple as this may sound, it is not often easy to do. ASK FOR HELP.
• Don’t go at it alone.
• Surround yourself with listeners and NOT opinion givers.
• Brainstorm, loud and proud.
• Look for the “What Ifs” of each situation.
• For each decision you must make, grab a piece of paper and pen, draw a vertical line in the middle of the blank page and separate the UPS and DOWNS of each situation. Don’t analyze, simply write. At the end you’ll see which column has more pros than cons.
• Give yourself credit for every victory, no matter how small. You deserve to be honored, and it starts with you.
• Look inward, know your strengths, and speak to the ONE SOURCE of energy that gives you focus and a mighty dose of courage. It is in tough times where making decisions is a must do, that you must find your courage no matter how deep you have to dig. It is there. Trust with all your might that you have the courage that it takes to do what you have to do and you will proceed with ease and confidence.
