Have you heard of brain entrainment for enhancing your study skills?

Often I’m asked whether binaural beats and entrainment programs can help the student of PhotoReading.

You bet they can! I’ve used entrainment for a number of years. Mostly for fun and there have been benefits on the side. The main one is it’s generally easier to learn new stuff.

If you’re new to Brain Entrainment or even if you played with it for a while you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. The best life changing programs I know of are Paraliminals.

Paraliminals talk and I mean really talk to the mind as well as having an embedded entrainment sound track. (Alpha to Theta, if you don’t know what that means, that’s okay. Just know that those brainwaves indicate a more relaxed state of mind and the entrainment soundtrack on a Paraliminal turn those on in your brain.)

When it comes to entrainment soundtracks, a word of advise, use them with eyes closed. Brain Entrainment works best when you allow yourself to relax and few people do that well with eyes open. Keep your eyes open and you defeat the purpose of most entrainment programs. Some claim you can keep your eyes open with theirs. In my experience even their programs bring better results when I close my eyes as well. Binaural Beats require eyes closed. If you try it with eyes open and they start working you start defocusing and closing your eyes. That’s why they tell you never to listen to them while driving.

So that means you wouldn’t use them ‘while’ PhotoReading. It still means you can use Paraliminal to help you learn PhotoReading (Or any other subject for that matter).

If you use a Paraliminal before starting a study session using PhotoReading you will benefit of the positive reinforcement from the vocals on the Paraliminal you will be much more relaxed when you start to apply the PhotoReading system.

Isn’t being more relaxed when you start studying more fun anyway? It makes things flow easier when you’re in a zone.

Believe me the biggest problem why people don’t “get” PhotoReading is they can’t chillax.

Entrainment helps you to Chill out and make a difference to your internal thinking.

Bogged down with doubts about your ability to learn? (Not just PhotoReading, whatever topic you are studying and not getting).

Use Personal Genius before you study and Self-Esteem Supercharger at the end of the day.

Performance Anxiety? Facing a Test or Exam?

Check out Anxiety Free.

Lousy track record with your grades?
Use a combo of New History Generator. Your past does not define your future, your now moment defines your future and it’s easier to get our head around this when we can adjust our thinking about our past.

Use the Belief Paraliminal if you need a little more help to believe in yourself.

Add Personal Genius – Tap your genius.
Self-Esteem Supercharger and Anxiety Free are good to have in your toolbox as well.

Know you learned the stuff but when you sit down for the exam it disappears?

Memory Supercharger – Use it after you’ve been studying.

Deep Relaxation – stress causes a hormone to increase that blocks your access to the information in your memory. Being relaxed brings these hormones down. If you ever remembered the answers to the questions after you walked out of the exam room you’ve experienced these stress hormones. Get a little help with the Paraliminal. Use it once a day (even before sleep the week before an exam).

A tip I learned from Pete, when you use Paraliminals to help you face exams have the cover image of it on your exam desk. It acts as a trigger to switch on the brain more relaxed.

Okay so you haven’t studied until the month before the exam and you’re putting in long hours. You’re tied. You need that second wind.

10 Minute supercharger Paraliminal – Although for some 10 minutes is a tad short. So, I suggest you program the sleep learning track to play 3 times. So the Paraliminal plays 15 minutes. Not longer than 15 minutes, okay? Why? Fifteen minutes of theta entrainment is what it takes to get that second wind. Don’t lie down you’ll fall asleep. After listening get to moving. Get yourself a glass of water (staying hydrated helps your brain to think clearly, but you already knew that, right?). Stretch and go back to studying.

Then start using Paraliminals to avoid last minute study for the next exam.

Enough said. There are a whole selection of Paraliminals available from Learning Strategies. Memory Supercharger comes with the PhotoReading course. So you don’t need to write or search far and wide to find what I found is the best form of entrainment for learning PhotoReading. Paraliminals are the best of both worlds. Entrainment soundtrack with motivation to access the resources within you to be your best.

This is not a usual subject on my blog. I’m writing it because I had trouble finding information to remove Security Shield from Windows 7. It might help someone else

A friends computer was infected by Security Shield. It incessantly popped up warnings even on clicking links in the web browser which it left functioning. This post explains how I removed it.

What didn’t work. Running any malware removal programs, notepad and every other program except web browsers (they want you to pay for the program). Internet search linked to information that seemed to be provided by Security Shield which was hopeless since it suggested the program could be removed with the uninstall programs from the Control Panel. I went onto another computer to do my internet searches.

The program did allow me to access the registry with regedit however there was no file in the specified location for me to manually delete. “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce “[random]” This was odd. I downloaded a removal tool but Security Shield immediately blocked it.

I entered a registration key which was accepted but the program continued to prevent using the computer normally I entered the registration key again. Again it said the product was registered and it continued to block programs.

I decided to try and stop the program from running to see if I could then run a malware removal program and remove Security Shield that way.

It blocked the task manager.

I gained access by starting computer in safe networking mode hitting F8 then clicking on safe networking. This was to allow access to the internet to download a malware removal program. I suggest you bookmark the link in your browser.

In save mode I went back into regedit and located the file. This time it was visible. Consisted of 7 numbers .exe.

I deleted that entry and opened windows normally and opened the task manager as soon as the programs started and watched the start up. Closed some suspicious looking programs. I wanted to be sure that the Malware removal software could install unhindered. Installed the malware removal program from the USB stick, ran it successfully found and removed 2 files.

A restart and another check of the task manager just watched what was starting this time.

Then I installed Winpatrol to prevent the start up of a couple of programs that my friend didn’t use but ran each time he started the computer. I found Google Updater running. And check the identify of the programs that are running.

I asked my friend what he clicked on. He told me that he was repeatedly pestered by an update message so he updated whatever it was. Whether or not Google updater had something to do with it I don’t know but I blocked the program with Winpatrol.

With Winpatrol my friend will now be warned when a program installs itself. It’s a program I like to use along with the antivirus programs to secure my computer.

A lot of people have trouble with photofocus. Trying to get it right. I’ve previously written about Seeing the page on my website. The article is still there. <a href="http://www.PhotoReading.com.au/seeing.html" target="_blank">Seeing the page

There is another way to look at the page and be in photofocus. I thought I’d show you how here.

PhotoReading is like taking a photograph of an image. Mentally making a snapshot of the printed page. Like a camera.

When cameras still used film the image on the film was reversed. That’s why they were often called negatives.

ith PhotoReading you can do the same thing. Look at the negative. Instead of the letters and words themselves you focus on the white of the page, the shape around the words and the spaces in between. This way you don’t get caught up in trying to read or see the words in focus.

Naturally this is easier to do when you turn the book upside down. Look at the shape of the white. That gives you the letters.

Words don’t always get the message across clearly. So I’ve located an example.

Work out what it says. Tip it’s a negative image. If you have difficulty working this out you might need to step back from the computer. Look at it from a distance.

Using the imaginary X-technique. Looking at the white of the page and the pattern of white while PhotoReading is even easier. Just relax and flip the pages with a soft gaze. Imagine you’re taking a snapshot. Like a secret agent you don’t have time to worry about the focus just notice the pages are there and trust the equipment.
