Canadian Child Care Federation Award of Excellence in Child Care. Nominate an Albertan who has provided leadership provincially as well as nationally, elevating the child care profession and the importance it is to families. March 11, 2011 deadline.

Alberta’s Daycare Controversy by Tom Langford

The association has had the opportunity to provide the membership an opportunity to purchase Tom Langford’s new book entitled Alberta’s Daycare Controversy. Mr. Langford is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Calgary. His research focuses on globalization, labour, and the politics of early learning and child care. His newest writing provides insight into the public controversies that occurred during the past 50 years in Alberta. The work also identifies the future trends and issues which could impact future public policy.
