I remember first learning about NodeJS during a presentation given by Ryan Dahl at SenchaCon in 2010 -- it was unbelievable to me then that someone could take JavaScript and run it as a CLI, power a web server, or do any of the things that I now take for granted.

There's a shiny new thing -- Deno -- that puts security first, supports TypeScript, and I couldn't be more excited!

Considering (1) how much I use NodeJS today and (2) how passionate I have become about cybersecurity it was inevitable that I would begin playing with this new creation - Deno.

Now that it’s April, I wanted to take a moment and review how my Q1 OKRs panned-out for the sake of personal accountability. As we see in the screenshot above, I pretty-well nailed this goal. I studied for my AWS exam and passed it — then continued looking into more advanced AWS certifications. Admittedly, preparing for this exam was much more work than I had originally anticipated -- and I've spent the better part of 6 months studying my ass off to pass this exam.
