Carib Indian eBook by Magers, Rick

Carib Indian - warrior/cannibal is the first novel written about this incredible tribe of extinct Indians. It begins on a 16th century night as an old Carib instructs five young boys on top a mountain near their village on Dominica Island-the 2008 location of the last descendants of this tribe. From him they will learn many tales of past battles and the courage of the warriors who fought in them. Two that stand out will be the Carib Chief Ahameke, and his foe Baracoraima, an Arawak Chief. The boys and also the readers will understand the terror experienced as the Spaniards invaded their villages along the South American coast. Ahameke intuitively understood that to battle these men who arrived in boats larger than his village, he must develop new tactics. One that left both the Arawak and all Europeans with an indelible mental imprint was cannibalism. Ahameke's young son and a few child-warriors attack Baracoraima as he and several of his wives paddle toward Venezuela in a dugout from their home village on Trinidad. The battle at sea between them and the larger-than-life Arawak elevates Baracoraima to god-like status among his people.

Black Wind eBook by Cussler, Clive

In the waning days of World War II, the Japanese tried a last desperate measure-a different kind of kamikaze mission, this one carried out by two submarines bound for the West Coast of the United States, their cargo a revolutionary new strain of biological virus. Neither sub made it to the designated target. But that does not mean they were lost. Someone knows about the subs and what they bore, knows too where they might be, and has an extraordinary plan in store for the prize inside-a scheme that could reshape the world as we know it. All that stands in the way are three people: a marine biologist named Summer, a marine engineer named Dirk, and their father, Dirk Pitt, the new head of NUMA. Pitt has faced devastating enemies before, and has even teamed up with his children to track them down. But never has he looked upon the face of pure evil . . . until now. Filled with dazzling suspense and breathtaking action, Black Wind is Cussler at the height of his storytelling powers.

Blue Gold eBook by Cussler, Clive

In last season's trade paperback original Serpent, Clive Cussler introduced a new series, the NUMA Files, and a hero for the next millennium, Kurt Austin. Serpent was an immediate success -- it spent six weeks on the New York Times bestseller list and hit lists across the country as well. Now, in Cussler's latest NUMA Files adventure, Kurt Austin returns to slake his fans' thirst for action, and drown the plans of nefarious extortionists.
Earth is a paradox -- a fertile world three-quarters covered with water, yet in danger of running dry. Overuse and pollution have drained most of its fresh water, and scientist Francesca Carval's brilliant formula for desalination (a process to convert salt water into fresh) has vanished with her plane over South America. But when Kurt Austin and his NUMA team come across a pod of dead whales, their investigation takes them from the open oceans to the Venezuelan jungle -- where a hunt for Carval places them in the direct line of fire of a cadre bent on controlling the world's supply of fresh water.
With more than 100 million copies of his books sold worldwide, perennial bestselling author Clive Cussler is a publishing phenomenon. A world-class collector of classic automobiles, he has discovered more than sixty lost ships of historic significance with his own NUMA (National Underwater Marine Agency) crew of volunteers. He divides his time between Arizona and Colorado.
