The following testimony comes from an elderly Christian
woman who attends the Hungarian mission started by Jeno
Madnagy, a HeartCry missionary to the Hungarian commu-
nity in Romania.

Before my conversion, I worked as an
abortionist in a government clinic. I have
killed babies with my own hands. I have
helped the doctors kill babies and this is
a shameful thing. I was a terrible per-
son, but by the grace of God I began to
realize that the thing I was doing was
wrong. When I became a Christian I tried
to find a way out of the clinic. I would
pray to God with great sorrow, because I
would look at my hands and realize that
they were dirty with the blood of the chil-
dren I had killed. I had become God's
child, but I had also killed God's chil-
dren. I knew that it was one of the great-
est sins in the world. I asked God to for-
give me so many times, but I realized that
I had to stop doing this terrible crime be-
fore He would forgive me. I finally went
to the people who were over me and told
them that there was no way that I would
ever work again in a place that killed and
slaughtered babies. I was so poor that
losing my job could mean going hungry,
but I did not care anymore. I could not
kill again regardless of what happened
to me. To my surprise my superiors did
not fire me, but transferred me to an or-
phanage to help little children who had
no parents. I was overwhelmed with joy
because I saw that God had given me a
new life and a new chance. Even though
I had killed God's little children, He for-
gave me and placed more of His little
children into my hands.

George Tiller Murdered

This evening I heard the news that the abortionist, Dr. George Tiller, had been murdered. This is a tragedy for several reasons, but I'll list two. Firstly, that the man seems to have died in his sins, without coming to salvation. If that's the case, he is now in hell, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. His murder is also a tragedy because it serves to reinforce the stereotype that pro-lifers are rabid fanaticists. The killer will be lumped in with sincere Christians who are trying to preserve the lives of unborn children, and who would never think of murdering someone--not even an abortionist devoid of conscience. Here is today's post from Jill Stanek:

Dr. George Tiller, late-term abortionist, was murdered today just after 10 am in the lobby of Reformation Lutheran Church in Wichita, KS, where he and his wife were active members.

Through his attorneys, his family has issued a statement.

Professor Robert George of Princeton has also issued a statement on National Review regarding this tragic disregard for human life, with which we voice our agreement:

Whoever murdered George Tiller has done a gravely wicked thing. The evil of this action is in no way diminished by the blood George Tiller had on his own hands. No private individual had the right to execute judgment against him. We are a nation of laws. Lawless violence breeds only more lawless violence. Rightly or wrongly, George Tiller was acquitted by a jury of his peers. "Vengeance is mine, says the Lord." For the sake of justice and right, the perpetrator of this evil deed must be prosecuted, convicted, and punished.
By word and deed, let us teach that violence against abortionists is not the answer to the violence of abortion. Every human life is precious. George Tiller's life was precious. We do not teach the wrongness of taking human life by wrongfully taking a human life. Let our "weapons" in the fight to defend the lives of abortion's tiny victims, be chaste weapons of the Spirit.

Our prayers are with the family of Dr. George Tiller during this difficult time of loss.

Laos won't execute pregnant prisoner

Well, here's an interesting one, from Laos, where abortion except to save the life of the mother is illegal. According to CNN:

A British woman facing possible execution in Laos will escape the death sentence because she is pregnant....
The country's criminal law prohibits courts from sentencing pregnant women to death.... The woman's trial... is likely to happen next week.

Samantha Orobator, 20, was facing death by firing squad for drug trafficking.... She was arrested August 5....

Orobator was alleged to have been carrying just over half a kilogram (about 1lb) of heroin.... Those found guilty of carrying that amount normally face the death penalty....

So here we have a case of a preborn baby saving the life of the mother. If the mom aborts her baby, she'll be aborted.

What if this were America? What if a mother on death row wants to abort her baby? An execution would take care of that. But to my knowledge every state disallows execution of pregnant women (why?), while at the same time allowing pregnant women to execute their babies.

Legalized abortion sure complicates things.

Canberra, Australia (LifeNews.com) -- Ask most pro-life advocates whether abortion should be allowed in cases to protect the mother's life and they'll cite instances such as an ectopic pregnancy to justify their position. In an amazing development, one Australian mother delivered a healthy baby girl after going through a nine-month ectopic pregnancy.

An ectopic pregnancy involves situations where the developing unborn child implants into some other tissue other than the uterine wall, where a baby normally develops during pregnancy.

Most ectopic pregnancies occur in the Fallopian tube and are otherwise known as tubal pregnancies, but implantation can also occur in the cervix, ovaries, and abdomen.

When an ectopic pregnancy occurs, the developing baby can sometimes implant in an area that adversely affects a woman's blood vessels and causes bleeding that could become life-threatening.

An ectopic pregnancy that presents life and health issues may result in the need for surgical intervention such as a laparotomy. In other extremely rare cases, like that of Meera Thangarajah, that's not necessary.

For nine months, Thangarajah carried her baby Durga in her ovary instead of her uterus. Following a Caesarean birth, both mother and baby are fine.

Doctors are calling Durga a miracle baby and say the chances of both mother and baby surviving are a million to one.

"This form of pregnancy is rare enough, but to have it go full term is unheard of," obstetrician Andrew Miller told the London Daily Mail. "I have never come across it in any hospital. It truly is a miracle she got a living baby out of it - she's extraordinarily lucky."

He told the newspaper that Thangarajah is lucky the ovary did not stretch and break and result in fatal internal bleeding.

Professor James Walker, spokesman for the British Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, told the Daily Mail that both are "very lucky."

"Not a lot of them will get to term - no more than one in a million and maybe even less than that," he said.

Neither doctors nor the couple expected anything other than a normal pregnancy and it wasn't until the planned Caesarian began that they discovered something amiss.

Britain May Allow Abortion Advertising on Radio, Television, for the First Time

London, England (LifeNews.com) -- Under a new proposal, television viewers and radio listeners could be subjected to ads for the first time advertising abortions. The Committee of Advertising Practice and the Broadcast Committee on Advertising Practice are behind the potential rules changes that could take effect next year.

Pro-life groups are opposed to the idea, which would also allow ads from pregnancy centers but with restrictions.

“We feel this is a wholly damaging proposal," Paul Tully, general secretary of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, says. “It will work against the long-term health of women.”

The proposal says pregnancy centers can advertise but only if their ad “makes clear whether the service refers women for abortion,” because “for those women who opt for it, delay in performing an abortion could result in medical complications.”

The new advertising rules could pave the way for Marie Stopes International, the large British-based abortion business, to begin television advertisements promoting abortions.

MSI spokeswoman Emily James confirmed the abortion business would be interested in advertising, saying, “It isn't about promotion, it’s about raising people’s awareness."

Without the television and radio commercials, MSI relies on magazines, taxi and bus ads, and advertising through alternatives newspapers.

The Advertising Standards Authority, which administers the advertising rules, is allowing public comment on the proposals through June 19.

The authority told the Independent that it didn't think abortion ads would wind up airing.

"The proposed rule on pregnancy advisory services would, in theory, allow abortion clinics to advertise," a representative said. "However, as this service is normally accessed via a referral from a GP or hospital, it is unlikely that we are going to start seeing ads for them."

The agencies say they are responding to news that British teenage pregnancy rates are on the rise. As such, they also plan to relax rules against showing advertising for condoms before the current 9:00 p.m. cutoff.

They received a request for the new ad rules from the Independent Advisory Group on Sexual Health.

That is the title of a sermon I preached January 17, 1993, three days before Bill Clinton was inaugurated president. It is just as relevant—or more—today.

The text was 1 Peter 2:17, "Honor the king." I closed with eight ways to honor a pro-choice president. The seventh was this:

We will honor you by expecting from you straightforward answers to straightforward questions. We would not expect this from a con-man, but we do expect it from an honorable man.

For example,

Are you willing to explain why a baby's right not to be killed is less important than a woman's right not to be pregnant?
Or are you willing to explain why most cities have laws forbidding cruelty to animals, but you oppose laws forbidding cruelty to human fetuses? Are they not at least living animals?
Or are you willing to explain why government is unwilling to take away the so-called right to abortion on demand even though it harms the unborn child; yet government is increasingly willing to take away the right to smoke, precisely because it harms innocent non-smokers, killing 3,000 non-smokers a year from cancer and as many as 40,000 non-smokers a year from other diseases?
And if you say that everything hangs on whether the fetus is a human child, are you willing to go before national television in the oval office and defend your support for the "Freedom of Choice Act" by holding in your hand a 21 week old fetus and explaining why this little one does not have the fundamental, moral, and constitutional right to life? Are you willing to say to parents in this church who lost a child at that age and held him in their hands, this being in your hands is not and was not a child with any rights of its own under God or under law?

Perhaps you have good answers to each of these questions. We will honor you by expecting you to defend your position forthrightly in the public eye.

You have immense power as President of the United States. To wield it against the protection of the unborn without giving a public accounting in view of moral and scientific reality would be dishonorable. We will honor you by expecting better.

(Strange, since Black women are more opposed to abortion than are their white sisters.) But most disturbing is this fact: Black women account for at least 50 percent of known abortion deaths. (Of abortion deaths identified by Life Dynamics, Black women accounted for 50 percent of deaths in which the race was known; a CDC study found the death rate among Black women to be even higher.)

This bears repeating: A young Black woman is more than twice as likely to be sold an abortion as a young white woman, and once she gets on the abortion table, she is about twice as likely to suffer fatal complications as a white woman.

More to the point, a Black woman coming of age in the US is at least four times more likely to die from abortion complications than a white woman coming of age.

To my knowledge, nobody has ever done a study investigating why abortion mortality disproportionately effects Black women. Is it because they're more likely to be public pay patients (who have a higher rate of abortion complications)? Is it because they tend to have fewer financial resources than their white counterparts, and therefore are more likely to fall prey to cut-rate abortion mills? Is it because they get even poorer care than their white sisters at the hands of racist abortionists? Nobody knows because, to my knowledge, nobody is asking." READ MORE...

It portrays the culture of abortion in Russia, and the bleak, hopeless lives of these women. The Lord is their only hope; may they find Him. The link below is to Jill Stanek's post on WorldNetDaily, where she comments on the movie. You can read Jill's blog here--the renowned flagship of pro-life blogs. She points out that although the director chose not to take a moral stand, instead choosing to let the viewers form their own opinion of abortion, you cannot come away with this without a sense of the horror of abortion.

Here is a drawing distributed in at least one abortion clinic, put out by the NAF, National Abortion Federation. The members of NAF are abortion providers - people who know what a fetus looks like. If they wanted to be truthful, they could easily produce accurate information. Note: The drawings are enlarged.

The following is a picture of a six to seven-week-old embryo taken during surgery for an eptopic pregnancy- one that developed in the fallopian tubes.

And a picture of a nine week old fetus. Note presence of fingers and toes.

Now here is a 12 week old fetus/unborn baby. He too differs from the drawing.

There have been numerous testimonies, articles, and evidences given to support that at least some abortion providers have not been honest with their patients while 'counseling' them. Allegations of bias or outright lying to "sell" abortion were admitted to by some of the abortion providers leaving the field and occasionally even by abortion workers currently in the field.

President Obama Starts Process of Removing Doctors' Protections on Abortions

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- The White House quietly announced on Friday that President Barack Obama is starting the process of overturning protections President Bush put in place to make sure medical staff and centers are not forced to do abortions. The move is the latest that will add to Obama's growing pro-abortion record.

Existing federal laws already make it so doctors and hospitals are not required to perform abortions. Because those laws aren't always followed, the Bush administration added additional protections.

Bush officials noted a pattern of grant recipients being unaware of or flouting existing laws protecting medical professionals’ rights of conscience. So, HHS enacted the new regulations to require grantees to certify compliance with them in order to receive funds.

In August, 2008 the Department of Health and Human Services proposed regulations to strengthen those existing laws. The regulations were finalized on December 18, 2008 and went into effect January 20, 2009.

Abortion advocates complained about the new regulations and made false claims that they would somehow deny women access to birth control even though the regulations do not limit or restrict any legal practice or product.

Three pro-abortion groups and pro-abortion attorneys general from seven states filed a lawsuit to overturn the rules and today's news makes it clear the Obama administration is preparing its own move to rescind them.

Obama officials told the Chicago Tribune that they are opening up a 30-day public comment period, after which they will roll back the protections for medical personnel and facilities.

"We believe that this is a complex issue that requires a thoughtful process where all voices can be heard," one unnamed official told the newspaper.

The Obama aides indicated the administration will draft a new set of rules that will clarify, but also likely lessen, the protections and enforcement health care workers enjoy under the Bush rules.

Three pro-life medical associations banded together last month to fight the lawsuit from abortion advocates and the pro-abortion state officials. Attorneys with the Christian Legal Society and the Alliance Defense Fund filed motions to intervene in that and two other lawsuits filed by top pro-abortion groups to overturn the Provider Conscience Clause.

Casey Mattox, an attorney with the Christian Legal Society, told LifeNews.com that the rules are needed so medical professionals have the security of knowing they won't be pressured to participate in abortions.

“Medical professionals should not be forced to perform abortions against their conscience. Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and their pro-abortion allies are seeking to punish pro-life medical professionals for their beliefs,” Mattox said. “Far from arguing for ‘choice,’ these lawsuits seek to compel health care workers to perform abortions or face dire consequences.”

Matt Bowman, a senior legal counsel with ADF, also weighed in on the case.

“For over three decades, federal law has prohibited recipients of federal grants from forcing medical professionals to participate in abortions," he told LifeNews.com.
