So most of you that follow me know I have moved back home to Florida *Breaking in a moment here to say SQUEEEEEE my husband will be here tomorrow morning and I CAN NOT WAIT* Okay back to the story.  As a christian it’s very important to me to the best of my ability do what God has called me to do.  I knew when we came down for vacation in July it was time for my family to be back here.  Now talk about a faith move.  Leaving my job, my husbands job was up in the air if we moved (more news on the awesomeness there in another post or down below in this one if I can’t stop typing LOL).  However when you feel the call of God you know you have to step out in faith.

I will be the first to say stepping out in faith is not the easiest thing to do sometimes.  It’s scary and uncertain but knowing God is in control you know it’s certain in His way.  The past few weeks I have prayed and prayed over so many things going on and there were times here and there something would happen that would be like a shot to the heart.  Almost as if life was coming against me to shatter my faith for all I am believing.  But even when that would happen and that rope I was holding onto would unravel I would never let go.  I might be holding on to the smallest piece of rope (figuratively speaking of course) but I would still hold on even if only by a small percentage to my faith.

As I held on and prayed I kept hearing the words “Faith Approved” over and over.  I thought “Oh how cool a little slogan for me to have fun with since I am holding onto my faith through all this“.  Then I sat writing out my prayer list and kept feeling “Faith Approved….It’s Done”  and it hit me a lesson I have learned over and over but yet can never learn enough.  If you can hold onto your faith through even the stormiest of storms the things you have been believing for and praying about will come to pass (as long as they are in line with God’s word of course).  They come to pass because they are Faith Approved.  You had faith and held onto it so He said yes.

Then yesterday as I was praying and just listening to worship I started writing a poem.  If you don’t know I have always been one who loves to write poetry.  I don’t put it out there much but I do write here and there.  They aren’t super deep poems and some may even be silly but they mean something to me.  I love to write almost as much as I love to dance. So as I said I was sitting at the table just praying and got out a pen and paper and wrote the following poem:

Faith Approved

There’s no need to worry
No reason to fret
Just keep your faith
Because God said Yes

When life throws a curveball
And the waters are rough
Hold tight to your faith
Even when it’s tough

Through all the storms
Hold your faith tight
When everything seems dark
Just seek out His light

Let God be your shelter
He’s right by your side
Keep hold of your faith
He’ll always provide

He’ll give you the best
Watch all that he’ll do
All your needs met….
They’re FAITH APPROVED

I just sat and said you know how true that is.   God takes care of all my needs.  My life is orchestrated according to His plan and the things I have faith for are already approved (if they are in line with Him).  I am so excited to see the things He is going to do while I am here and how He is going to use me.  Will I live a life perfectly in line with what he wants me to do….of course not I am human but I will do my best to live according to His word.  I am ready to dance again during worship and choreograph routines to inspirational songs.  I can’t wait to start leading youth with my amazing friend Jennifer.  I am just excited to see what God has in store.

Faith isn’t always an easy thing to have but it is what carries us through so much.  I am so thankful for having my faith and trust me I have been through some horrible situations that made me want to say “Okay this faith thing ummm not working so well in this situation, why did it have to happen”.  But I didn’t I kept hold and kept moving forward.  Faith walking toward what God is calling me to do.  Sometimes I didn’t understand where in the world I was headed or why I had to go through something but I knew to focus on Him and trust that He was laying the path for me to follow even when I couldn’t see it.

So as I said I am excited to see what all is going to happen but I KNOW that good things are coming to me and my family. Because it’s been FAITH APPROVED already!

I know I am not the only one who spent every week watching Beverly Hills 90210. From the premiere episode where Brandon officially sported a mullet style to the end when Donna and David said I do FINALLY! I loved this show and I probably should be ashamed to admit this but I am not…I still watch every single rerun when I am home on SoapNet! Yes I still get pissed off at Dylan and Kelly and cry when Toni dies. I always knew that was a sign I was supposed to marry Luke Perry. I mean really how many girls are named Toni and they just pick that name for the character who marries heartthrob Dylan. Somehow he didn’t get that memo and he and I didn’t get married.

I love that today is September 10, 2010 so it’s 90210 Day! WAHOO I knew I bought season 1 & 2 for some reason, so today is gonna be watch those day. Eventually I want to add seasons 3-10 to my collection but for now this will do. Now what is really special about this day (aside from it being the day of my favorite show ever) is this is the only time this will happen until 3010 So let’s reflect on fun times with the following clip:

Well I don’t need to pay the dollar to find that out.  I have no problem admitting that sometimes I fall for the stupidest thing.  It’s part of the reason you all love me right.  So what is the newest thing I have fallen for you ask..

2 MOONS.

You know that hoax that was going around in 2003ish well it’s making its way back around and little old me fell for it.  So last night when Mars was supposed to be as visible as the moon and the only time it would happen in 6,000 years (or something ridiculous like that) I loaded my kids up and drove around trying to see the “2 Moons”.  Luckily this was at 8:30 but I did set my alarm for 12:30 a.m. when it was supposed to be it’s clearest.

Well I had a little bit of brain kick in  or actually I was just too dang lazy and when my alarm went off I hit off and conked back out.  How annoyed would I have been if I went out of the house then to find the “2 Moons”.  So I hope you all have gotten your giggle for today.  Be back for another episode of “Toni’s Does Something Stupid” coming soon to a blog near you.  It will happen be assured.

That song by Natalie Grant is really one that describes me .  I often wonder how many people out there know the real me?  The one who  feels like she has the weight of the world on her shoulders.  The one whose life isn’t perfect, who is frail behind the strength you see.  Do you know all of me or only the parts you see here?  Do you take the time to get to know the “me” behind the smile?  Do you know that daily I cry or do you think I am always as happy as you see me?

Am I happy, over all yes, but I have so many worries, stresses and fears.  I shed tears daily and I often wonder who cares to know the real me?  The one who has cares, the one who has worries, the one who feels like she has no value, nothing to contribute to the world some days.   There are days I just want to throw in the towel and say I give up, but I can’t.  I have to plaster the smile on my face despite what is going on.  I have to act like it’s okay because if I don’t I think others will feel like they aren’t able to make me happy and that’s not true.  I feel like I have to be strong all the time for my children’s sake.

If I let people see me when I am weak will they think different of me?  If I can’t be happy and strong everyday will someone take advantage of that weakness?   Is it wrong to admit that sometimes having faith is the hardest thing ever?  Or that I worry I will never be everything God has called me to be?  Is it okay to say you know you are on the right path but still feel so lost sometimes.

Do you know the girl who hates her body?  The one who finds every flaw, who frets over the pounds she gains.  The one who doesn’t see the beauty.  The one who won’t leave the house because she looks fat in her clothes.  This girl who is so insecure in her appearance she is always comparing herself to others.

Who is the real me?  The real me is someone who is:

• Strong
• Frail
• Weak
• Firm
• Understanding
• Fun
• Smiling
• Crying
• Laughing
• Scared
• Worried
• and so much more.  The real me is not the person you see on here all the time but have you taken the time to get to know the real me or do you just know only the person you see here?  Yes this is the real me but there is so much more to who I am…do I know the real you? I would love to!

As a mom, I want to do all I can to keep my kids skin safe.  That means sunscreen of course. Their little skin is extra sensitive to the sun and I want to do all I can to avoid early aging and possible skin cancer.  Of course my kids are picky kids, when I get sunscreen I have to take several factors into account.  They don’t like the spray kinds because of the smell when I spray it on them and the lotions they don’t like because it made them greasy.  What’s a mom to do?
