<p>When My sister and I went to Atami which was a small town on the east coast of Japan&#8217;s Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, we took a seasonal express train Marine express odoriko.<br />
They services are scheduled to be introduced, running between Tokyo and Izukyu-Shimoda using E259 series 6-car EMUs normally used on Narita Express services.</p>

<p>It was little chilly but we enjoyed looking at flowers.<br />
The plums of this garden bloom from beginning of January to March.<br />
During the Plum (Ume) season, there are events and food stands are held and open in the garden.</p>

<p>I went to Karuizawa (1 hour from Tokyo by Shinkansen express) as a day trip.<br />
And I got a cute apple candy in tiny ceramic rice cooker that named &#8220;Touge no Ringo Ame&#8221;.(峠のりんご飴)<br />
The original is famous bento in small ceramic rice cooker named &#8220;<a href="http://m.wikitravel.org/ja/%e7%94%bb%e5%83%8f:Touge-no-Kamameshi.JPG" target="_blank">Touge no Kamameshi</a>&#8220;(峠の釜めし), and this candy was made for 125 years anniversary of Oginoya the company of this bento.</p>
<p><a title="oginoya_candy_3 by 8tokyo.com, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/8tokyo/8712398217/"><img alt="oginoya_candy_3" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8548/8712398217_da57aae1db_z.jpg" width="520" height="390" /></a></p>
<p>The pottery became more small and cute for this special souvenir. I&#8217;ll re-use this as <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umeboshi" target="_blank">umeboshi</a>-pickles pot.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.oginoya.co.jp" target="_blank">Oginoya</a></p>

Waraku Beniya is a famous confectionary but this is limited souvenir at ecute Ueno and their website. Ueno station is popular with Ueno zoo, and the zoo is popular for panda.</p>

We had very good time in peace to sat down in front of the window and just relaxed.</p>

<p>My sister and I went to Atami at Shizuoka pref. for an overnight trip to hot spring resort、Atami. Atami is very close to Tokyo. It takes less than 1 hour by a bullet train from Tokyo station. It is very easy to go on an overnight trip from Tokyo.</p>
<p><a title="atami_2 by 8tokyo.com, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/8tokyo/8699139076/"><img alt="atami_2" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8411/8699139076_810aff0ec7_z.jpg" width="520" height="390" /></a></p>
<p><a title="atami_3 by 8tokyo.com, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/8tokyo/8698015325/"><img class="aligncenter" alt="atami_3" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8260/8698015325_c126850c4f_z.jpg" width="390" height="520" /></a></p>
<p>We stayed at a hotel, &#8216;Kai&#8217; in Atami. The hotel is classical Japanese style, but it was renovated beautifully.<br />
Also, we are able to have a relaxed time taking baths in hot springs at the hotel. There are two different baths including an open air bath and an indoor bath.</p>
<p><a title="atami_4 by 8tokyo.com, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/8tokyo/8698015269/"><img alt="atami_4" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8120/8698015269_032b655f12_z.jpg" width="520" height="390" /></a></p>
<p><a title="atami_5 by 8tokyo.com, on Flickr" href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/8tokyo/8698015437/"><img alt="atami_5" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8118/8698015437_ddff9be4fb_z.jpg" width="520" height="390" /></a></p>
<p>Moreover, it is located in front of Sagami Bay, and it is also surrounded by a lot of trees.<br />
We are able to enjoy the beautiful nature around.</p>
