CNY is coming!! Don't really feel the festive mood that much anymore...except whe one steps into the mall PACKED with people, the speakers are blaring Chinese songs which I cannot comprehend, a lot of aunties elbowing me, red coloured ornaments everywhere and there's sales!! Then it reminds me that CNY is just around the corner! Lol. Malls have been packed with people for weeks!

I've been so busy, I haven't done much shopping.

I'll be free the whole week next week as I will be on 1 week leave!!

Shall we meet up??! Anyone up for it? Let me know!!

Hi guys and gals,

Been quite some time since everyone met everyone else isn't it? =) I hope everyone's doing fine.

For those still pursuing that illustrious ticket to the working world, enjoy every moment of those care-free days =)

For who've already used that ticket and on the fast-lane, remember to slow down once in awhile and remember the days when you were back in SMKBU's 5 Bersih ;)

It's been 2-months or so since I got back from that short-but-memorable stay in Liverpool; and every moment of it was worth my while (plus, I got a lil' something extra too! Heh!)

Am still job-hunting and hopeful that some of the applications will be well-received by my future/possible employers.

So, wishing everyone of 5-Bersih Class of 2004 and myself, all the best!

Dear all,

It has been 5 years since we were in SMKBU and since we were classmates. We graduated from high school in 2004. Its now 2009 and turning into the year 2010 soon! We all have come a long way...though we all took different paths in life, I sincerely do hope that we keep in touch. I have been swamped with work ever since I started working. Its sad to think we are so occupied with our hectic lifestyles that we can't really meet up and keep in touch. Technology is so advanced now, we should be able to update each other at the comfort of our own homes (in my case, in the comfort of my own office which is not that comafortable afterall. *sigh*) if we are too busy. I wish I could keep up with what everyone is doing now...that'll be nice.

Now I am working in MYC! (the college magazine). I am the boss' Personal Assistant, Project Assistant, sometimes I head my own projects, clients, creatives, I handle the HR and Admin side as well. I am not involved in the magazine but more to the projects side where we do branding, sampling and corporate events/product launches. Though the lifestyle here is pretty hectic, I am enjoying my time coz I am exposed and I get to learn a lot. Work has been taking a toll on me. I feel so old now!!

It would be nice if we all could meet up and chill out. Miss those good old days back in high school!

Just some of my thoughts I thought I'd share with everyone =)

I remember back when I was still a kid, things were relatively simple and easy to comprehend. Well, not to say I'm not a kid anymore; to my parents, I'll always be one, and with friends, we're all kids who've grown out of those size-3 Bubblegum shoes.

If you were sad, you shed tears.
If you were unhappy, you throw tantrums.
If you were unsure, you question.
If you were in love, you say it.

That's where it starts to become a lil more complicated. If the binary opposition of good is bad, then love would be hate. When we obtain the capacity to love, we subconsciously gain the ability to hate.

And as you grow older, you learn what Uncle Ben told Peter Parker; With great power comes great responsibility. An action, a decision; intentionally chosen or accidentally made, have its own set of consequences that in one way or another, takes form in what is you.

My father taught me the values of humanity and compassion over 5-minute drives to the grocery stores. He didn't tell me how to live my life but instead, told me how not to.

A lesson is not obtained by getting it right, it is learned by getting it wrong so many times that you finally get it right. That was his valuable life lessons; I won't tell you what to do, I will tell you what NOT to do.

The rest is up to me.

We're always searching for that something in life to illuminate the small moments or to shine on the decisive ones.

Sometimes, we get intimidated.

What do you do then? Do you adopt a temporary blindness and shut-off the whole world?

Or do you continue your search?

What if you've reached a place which required you to stop searching and start looking?

I'll probably jump on it and start working on it.

And of course, facing the music when something goes wrong is part of growing up. But the fact that everyone just distances themselves away from you when things aren't going right are just ... not right.

The journey ahead is long and far. It will take all of your mental and physical strength to pull through.

But you know, what are friends for right? If not for support and finer moments in life.

I find paradise momentarily through unmoving objects made up of binary codes.

And I'm happy just to be alive =)

Hello Bersih-ians! I think ... this is my second post *dot*

Alaa just joking, takkan so short. If ahFai doesn't physically kill me Rach would nag me to death for not having a proper entry here.

I've just got my connection back here in UK. Some crazy virus infection hit some of our PCs and left us wireless; literally, for several days. Some of them even a week.

So, whaddya know? You fly a couple of thousand miles away from where Internet is shit to come to place where the Internet is still; shit. Not really as bad as back in where all of us come from, you know, Boleh-land as some of the more liberal thinking people may address our beloved nation.

I've been to Anfield last week and it was pretty alright. Great in historical value, small in size. Think Wendy's.

And like Arsenal (boo-hoo!), Liverpool is TROPHYLESS this season.

Let me repeat that, TROPHYLESS.

Awesome-ness. So when I went to the rack of trophies that went yearly, the years increased as the trophies decreased *awwwww* ....

Ok lah, that last part was just to cucuk a bit other footie fans from other clubs. The museum was really packed with historical records and such, like the Hillsborough Disaster and the greatest comeback ever in Champions League history, Istanbul 2005 =)

Now the bad news is, I ter-deleted all the pictures T_T so ... maybe next time =(

New FA Cup Winner !!!

Chelsea has downed Everton 2-1 to clinch the 2009 FA Cup.

Everton lead 1-0 when Saha drived the ball passed Petr Cech. 20 minutes later, a header by Drogba canceled out Everton's lead.

10 minutes before the final whistle, Frank Lampard blast the ball passed Everton goalkeeper. Owh! Magnificent!!!

After the final whistle, Chelsea is the new FA Cup winner! Congratulations to fans of Chelsea especially from 5 Bersih.

Champions League final: Man Utd Downed 2-0

The Champions League final has ended this morning. Sadly, Man Utd has been defeated 2-0 by Barcelona. Man Utd's hope of defending their title is gone.

Dear 5 Bersih Man Utd supporters. Don't be sad as Man Utd still have the chance to win it back next season.

Now eyes on FA Cup. Chelsea vs Everton. Hehehe... Who do you think will WIN?

5 Bersih has been well known as the football fanatic especially for the English Premier League. Quite a number of them are Manchester United supporters.

I hate it but I have to admit that Manchester United is the new English champion. Hence, I would like to CONGRATULATE fans of Man Utd from 5 Bersih.

To Man Utd, you still have Champions League to win. So good luck! Just forget FA Cup. It belongs to CHELSEA !!! Hehe

Dear Friends,

I went back to our beloved school this evening to find out that our hard work team project had gone to waste. It is so difficult to find those bottle caps. Although 50% was contributed by Amri, but the rest, we really went into the waste basket and dirty areas to pick up. Money is not the major concern, but the team effort that bonded us all this while to complete the project.

I don't know whose brilliant idea was that. Perhaps these people just dislike history. They like new things. Modern stuffs. Hello people! You know you will get old some day right? How do you feel when your children just leave you because you are old. Think back !!

Well, some of you might think that what am I trying to say. A picture worth a thousand words. Check this out and you will know why...

Hello everyone!! This is Rachel here. I guess I'm the second contributor for now. =P

I hope everyone is doing well. Just a suggestion, maybe we can have a label called "occupation" to fill up what everyone is doing. =)

That includes:

(If you are working)

Your name
Which industry
Company's name
Designation
Duration (from when till when/present)

(If you are studying)

Your name
Which course
Which college/university
Diploma/Degree/Masters

Please note that this is just a suggestion. At least we can keep track of what we all are doing. =) It'll be our own database which will be good for our reference.

On another note, working is stressful and exhausting. I miss the old 5 Bersis class...when we used to be the class which was not so accademically inclined but yet, we helped out a lot with the school and had many leaders in our class. Though some of the teachers looked down on our class, but I still think up to now that we are the BOMB! =) We are all achievers and very ambitious. I believe all of us would achieve something to give back to society one day. We have hopes and aspirations. Two of the most memorable things that we worked together for were the National Flag made out of bottlecaps in hopes to recycle and also us painting and decorating the canteen. Without teamwork, we would not have succeeded in the projects and without teamwork that has held our bonds together, none of us would still be here at this blog today.

I have never said it before but I want to thank everyone of you from 5 Bersih (class of 2004, SMKBU) for the great time I had working together and being as a huge fun-crazy family. Yes, that is what you guys are to me, my family. I hope that we can keep this up and keep this blog alive. If we work together, anything can happen so I wanna implore all of you to contribute to this blog. I still want to see this blog alive and going well after I'm 40years old (and after I have my own kids! LOL). This blog is a great platform for us to keep in touch no matter how far apart we are.

As long as our hearts are here, this blog will be alive and our bonds will forever remain strong. That's all I have to say for now. Keep the posts coming!! =)
