3CR seeks a temporary Program Manager for this diverse and unique community radio station.

This is a 10 month full-time maternity leave position. The Program Coordinator manages and co-ordinates all aspects of programming at the station including special programming.

Current Affairs Content Producer

Earlier in the year, 3CR was lucky enough to receive a Community Broadcasting Foundation grant for a Current Affairs Content Producer. We welcome Areej Nur (pictured) who is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and will produce and present Different, Like Us, an initiative that actively dismantles the exclusion of young culturally diverse voices in all media forms. Areej is looking forward to producing content that reflects the actual diversity and views of Australian communities. Tune in to the 3CR Breakfast (7-8.30am) on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays to hear Different, Like Us - podcasts will follow!

Join us for the 2012 3CR Station Worker and Subscriber General Meeting – 6.30pm Wednesday 5 September, upstairs at the station - 21 Smith Street, Fitzroy (ring side door for access).

This meeting is open to all financial Subscribers and Station Workers to attend, it is an opportunity to meet your representatives on the Community Radio Federation and discuss issues you may have about the station or find out ways you can get further involved. 3CR seeks a new Station Manager for this diverse and unique community radio station. The Station Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the station, including the coordination of staff and ensuring access and equity for 3CR’s volunteer workers and affiliates. The Manager also acts as the Executive Officer to the 3CR Committee of Management and to Community Radio Federation.

The role involves a high degree of responsibility, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience working or volunteering in a community organisation, managing staff and volunteers, finances and fundraising. The Station Manager is required to represent 3CR at community and sector events and functions. POSITION CLOSED.

3CR Film Fundraiser - The Sapphires

3CR program Media Moves- Cinema Scene invites you to a film fundraiser for 3CR's Radiothon. The Sapphires fundraiser is Thursday 9 August at 6.50pm at the Kino Cinema 45 Collins St City. Fundraising tickets are $20 or $18 concession.

Bring your friends and family to this first public screening of The Sapphires and see why this film got a standing ovation at the 2012 Cannes film festival. Join us and have a great time while supporting 3CR and Australian film!

You can buy your tickets from the 3CR stall at the Kino on the night from 6:15pm.

Second Breakfast - Radiothon Fundraiser

Come along to Second Breakfast, a 3CR Radio fundraiser gig on Sunday the 15th of July. Head on down to The Bendigo Hotel in Johnston St, Collingwood to see a bevy of local up and coming bands supporting 3CR's 2012 Radiothon.

$10 Entry. All proceeds go to 3CR's Breakfast shows to keep great independent current affairs alive.

Beyond the Bars Live Prison Broadcasts

Beyond the Bars is Australia’s only live prison broadcast and this year is expanded to involve over 100 Indigenous men and women from the inside sharing stories, songs, opinions and poems from within the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, Barwon Prison, Fulham Correctional Centre, Marngoneet Correctional Centre, Loddon Prison and Port Phillip Prison.

Stay tuned for this remarkable radio event during NAIDOC Week 2-6 July.
