Here is a great great article (or maybe part of book, not sure about it) form the past written by Henry Rollins. It is very very motivating for me. A story about how skinny guy (himself) changed his life when he started lifting weights and what the Iron teaches him. Wow.. I just love it and re-read it from time to time. I think you will enjoy it too ;)

I believe that the definition of definition is reinvention. To not be
like you parents. To not be like your friends. To be yourself.
Completely.

When I was young I had no sense of myself. All I was, was a product of
all the fear and humiliation I suffered. Fear of my parents. The
humiliation of teachers calling me “garbage can” and telling me I’d be
mowing lawns for a living. And the very real terror of my fellow
students. I was threatened and beaten up for the color of my skin and
my size. I was skinny and clumsy, and when others would tease me I
didn’t run home crying, wondering why. I knew all too well. I was
there to be antagonized. In sports I was laughed at. A spaz. I was
pretty good at boxing but only because the rage that filled my every
waking moment made me wild and unpredictable. I fought with some
strange fury. The other boys thought I was crazy.

I hated myself all the time. As stupid at it seems now, I wanted to
talk like them, dress like them, carry myself with the ease of knowing
that I wasn’t going to get pounded in the hallway between classes.

Years passed and I learned to keep it all inside. I only talked to a
few boys in my grade. Other losers. Some of them are to this day the
greatest people I have ever known. Hang out with a guy who has had his
head flushed down a toilet a few times, treat him with respect, and
you’ll find a faithful friend forever. But even with friends, school
sucked. Teachers gave me hard time. I didn’t think much of them
either.

Then came Mr. Pepperman, my adviser. He was a powerfully built Vietnam
veteran, and he was scary. No one ever talked out of turn in his class.
Once one kid did and Mr. P. lifted him off the ground and pinned him to
the blackboard.

Mr. P. could see that I was in bad shape, and one Friday in October he
asked me if I had ever worked out with weights. I told him no. He told
me that I was going to take some of the money that I had saved and buy a
hundred-pound set of weights at Sears. As I left his office, I started
to think of things I would say to him on Monday when he asked about the
weights that I was not going to buy. Still, it made me feel special.
My father never really got that close to caring. On Saturday I bought
the weights, but I couldn’t even drag them to my mom’s car. An
attendant laughed at me as he put them on a dolly.

Monday came and I was called into Mr. P.’s office after school. He said
that he was going to show me how to work out. He was going to put me on
a program and start hitting me in the solar plexus in the hallway when I
wasn’t looking. When I could take the punch we would know that we were
getting somewhere. At no time was I to look at myself in the mirror or
tell anyone at school what I was doing.

In the gym he showed me ten basic exercises. I paid more attention than
I ever did in any of my classes. I didn’t want to blow it. I went home
that night and started right in. Weeks passed, and every once in a
while Mr. P. would give me a shot and drop me in the hallway, sending my
books flying. The other students didn’t know what to think. More weeks
passed, and I was steadily adding new weights to the bar. I could sense
the power inside my body growing. I could feel it.

Right before Christmas break I was walking to class, and from out of
nowhere Mr. Pepperman appeared and gave me a shot in the chest. I
laughed and kept going. He said I could look at myself now. I got home
and ran to the bathroom and pulled off my shirt. I saw a body, not just
the shell that housed my stomach and my heart. My biceps bulged. My
chest had definition. I felt strong. It was the first time I can
remember having a sense of myself. I had done something and no one
could ever take it away. You couldn’t say shit to me.

It took me years to fully appreciate the value of the lessons I have
learned from the Iron. I used to think that it was my adversary, that I
was trying to lift that which does not want to be lifted. I was wrong.
When the Iron doesn’t want to come off the mat, it’s the kindest thing
it can do for you. If it flew up and went through the ceiling, it
wouldn’t teach you anything. That’s the way the Iron talks to you. It
tells you that the material you work with is that which you will come to
resemble. That which you work against will always work against you.

It wasn’t until my late twenties that I learned that by working out I
had given myself a great gift. I learned that nothing good comes
without work and a ceratin amount of pain. When I finish a set that
leaves me shaking, I know more about myself. When something gets bad, I
know it can’t be as bad as that workout.

I used to fight the pain, but recently this became clear to me: pain is
not my enemy; it is my call to greatness. But when dealing with the
Iron, one must be careful to interpret the pain correctly. Most
injuries involving the Iron come from ego. I once spent a few weeks
lifting weight that my body wasn’t ready for and spent a few months not
picking up anything heavier than a fork. Try to lift what you’re not
prepared to and the Iron will teach you a little lesson in restraint and
self-control.

I have never met a truly strong person who didn’t have self-respect. I
think a lot of inwardly and outwardly directed contempt passes itself
off as self-respect: the idea of raising yourself by stepping on
someone’s shoulders instead of doing it yourself. When I see guys
working out for cosmetic reasons, I see vanity exposing them in the
worst way, as cartoon characters, billboards for imbalance and
insecurity. Strength reveals itself through character. It is the
difference between bouncers who get off strong-arming people and Mr.
Pepperman.

Muscle mass does not always equal strength. Strength is kindness and
sensitivity. Strength is understanding that your power is both physical
and emotional. That it comes from the body and the mind. And the
heart.

Yukio Mishima said that he could not entertain the idea of romance if he
was not strong. Romance is such a strong and overwhelming passion, a
weakened body cannot sustain it for long. I have some of my most
romantic thoughts when I am with the Iron. Once I was in love with a
woman. I thought about her the most when the pain from a workout was
racing through my body. Everything in me wanted her. So much so that
sex was only a fraction of my total desire. It was the single most
intense love I have ever felt, but she lived far away and I didn’t see
her very often. Working out was a healthy way of dealing with the
loneliness. To this day, when I work out I usually listen to ballads.

I prefer to work out alone. It enables me to concentrate on the lessons
that the Iron has for me. Learning about what you’re made of is always
time well spent, and I have found no better teacher. The Iron had
taught me how to live.

Life is capable of driving you out of your mind. The way it all comes
down these days, it’s some kind of miracle if you’re not insane. People
have become separated from their bodies. They are no longer whole. I
see them move from their offices to their cars and on to their suburban
homes. They stress out constantly, they lose sleep, they eat badly.
And they behave badly. Their egos run wild; they become motivated by
that which will eventually give them a massive stroke. They need the
Iron mind.

Through the years, I have combined meditation, action, and the Iron into
a single strength. I believe that when the body is strong, the mind
thinks strong thoughts. Time spent away from the Iron makes my mind
degenerate. I wallow in a thick depression. My body shuts down my
mind. The Iron is the best antidepressant I have ever found. There is
no better way to fight weakness than with strength. Once the mind and
body have been awakened to their true potential, it’s impossible to turn
back.

The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all
kinds of talk, get told that you’re a god or a total bastard. The Iron
will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference
point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in
the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It
never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two
hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds.

The bolded parts I love the most!!!! Rings true so much to me (except for listening to ballads when lifting :D ..nooo I listen to House, Trance or Metal to help me focus)!! Hope you enjoyed it!

Cheers,
Adrian

Today I want to show you how Christian changed his life. He should be very proud of himself for this! He quit smoking and drinking (and quite possibly damaging his health real bad), started working out and gaining muscle. Now he is on path to completely change his life. I’m real glad my blog played small part in it! So please read this story ;)

Hi all, my name is Christian. Adrian asked me to tell you all a bit of my story on
how I went through with the guide I found on 36pounds.com.

Through my low to mid 20’s, I was extremely underweight and was not looking after my
health at all. I was a heavy smoker and drinker. My weight not long ago was around
44KG (97pounds). I actually got used to being underweight that I did not really
think much of it, but I could all ways tell each time I wore a pair of shorts I
would get stares just walking down the road.
As I neared my high 20’s, I was starting to get very sick easily, after going to the
Doctors to find out why I was all ways feeling sick and weak he told me it was time
to quit smoking and alcohol and do something about my weight.
I went cold turkey with the cigarettes and as a result, my eating habits increased
(which was normally 1 big meal a day to 3 meals a day). After dropping the
cigarettes and drinking my weight increased to just under 54KG (119KG).

A friend of mine told me that I should look into doing some weights to start defining the fatty
arms and stomach I was getting and he recommended taking some protein shakes and
creatine while working out. As I did not know much about weight lifting I did a search through google.com for
weight training for skinny people and it took me to this blog.

I started off doing the exercise recommended under Beginner guide for skinny people
twice a week. I would swap out what I did not have equipment (like leg work – I
would on my days of get on a bike while watching the telly) (Adrian’s comment: Bike doesn’t count!!! Do dumbbell squats instead of squats at home when having no equipment) ;)

I started this around July 2009. At first it was very hard as I had not done any
training at all that I was hardly putting any weights on the bars, but it did not
take long. What increased my motivation to keep going was as soon as summer arrived
( December ) I would start wearing t-shirts and friends and family would comment on
how my body had changed and how I looked much healthier which this made me push
harder during my training. As a result my lifestyle became more active.

1. Why did you start training? What was the motivation? (Maybe some event
Happened that made you go ?that?s it? I?m bulking up and changing my
Life!!!?)

I started training for the sole reason that I was feeling all ways weak. I was not
leading a healthy lifestyle and as a result I was most of the time sick. It was a
bit of an eye opener when I went to the doctors and he told me if I did not change
what I was doing to my body there could be a lot of problems down the road as I
age.

2. What was the hardest thing to do?

The hardest thing to do was to get into a habit of training 3 times a week. I used
to come home from work and go straight to the pub or just sit on the couch and watch
the telly. The eating was another problem. I was used to eating 1 or maybe two
large meals a day. It is still a challenge now, but slowly I?m am changing my eating
habits

3. What do you enjoy most with training?

What I enjoy after a session of training is how your body feels sore and tense. And
the satisfaction of know that the 40mins to 1 hr that you spent exercising will
benefit you in so many ways. Even the morning after when you wake up and you are
still sore it is a great sensation, knowing that you worked you butt of the night
before.

4. How do you feel with your new body?

I feel fantastic with my new body. I feel a lot more active. A lot more confident in
myself. It feels awesome when you bump into someone you have not seen in a while and
they tell you have great you look.

5. What could you advice to fellow skinny brothers who want to repeat your success?

I would just say put your mind to it. Even if you start once a week, you will slowly
see the results which will motivate you to keep going! Try not to focus a lot of
huge gains at the start. Get the routine going, the rest will come on its own.

6. What are your future goals with training?

After following the beginner guide for just over 6 months I will look into
following the 5×5 guide posted on this blog and try and push myself into eating
properly

Thanks!

Christian

I know it’s strange to look at half naked dude but Arnold did that when he was 15 (with posters of pro bodybuilders visualising himself being on stage) and that helped. This video reminds me of my goals and that I must work hard to achieve them!

This physique is awesome, not too big, but not just ripped and small. It’s well balanced and a thing to strive for!

This is a guy who in this life has gained 40lbs of muscle and has trained for long time, gained weight, then lost some fat and now has a great physique. Here is the interview with him:

1. Why did you start training? What was the motivation? (Maybe some event happened that made you go “that’s it… I’m bulking up and changing my life!!!”)

At first, my motivation for training was for my own personal benefits. As things progressed, my motivation has become more about inspiring and helping others to achieve the body of their dreams.

I got into weight training as a scrawny teenager. Growing up, I always looked up to my older brothers and wanted to be just like them. I practically participated in everything they did and so when they got into weight training, I did as well. I played sports in high school and did weight training casually to help me with my strength. However, with my high metabolism and all the sports I played, I never really gained any size. I entered college as a scrawny 5′10″ 130 lb freshman. That’s when I began to take weight training more seriously. I was at the school’s gym nearly every day and since I lived on campus, had access to three square meals a day at the mess hall. By the end of my freshman year, I had gained a solid 20 lbs.

I remember during my sophomore year in college, I entered Bill Phillip’s Body For Life challenge. Participating in that contest helped me to add about another 10 lbs to my frame. Once I was out of college however, my weight training went on cruise control mode. It often took the back seat to work and me trying to keep up with my mortgage, car payments and countless other bills that consumed my life.

It wasn’t until a little over a year ago, when I started a Body Transformation Challenge with my brother and friend, that I started to take my training seriously again. It was a 90 day challenge to see who could make the most dramatic change to their physique. We invited everyone we knew to join us in achieving the body of their dreams. We wanted the challenge to be accessible to all people; it didn’t matter whether you were trying to lose weight or gain muscle. Our goal was to show people that it was possible to make a positive improvement with your body in a relatively short period of time. We developed an online forum where contestants could keep a daily journal to track their progress and motivate, educate, and assist each other in achieving their goals. With the success of that first challenge, we repeated it a second time and we are now currently getting ready to start the third challenge.

I invite all your readers to take the challenge.

2. What was the hardest thing to do?

The hardest thing for me to do is to diet correctly. I enjoy working out and lifting weights – I don’t enjoy dieting. I’ve always realized the importance of a good diet, but never successfully implemented one in my life. For me, dieting has always been about what food was available at the time I was hungry. What was convenient and what I craved was usually what I ate. I also ate more for enjoyment and quite simply, to satiate my hunger.

It was only until I made a specific goal of lowering my body fat percentage, that I finally took dieting seriously. In a little over a year, I’ve been able to drop from 170 lbs at 20% body fat to 158 at 10% body fat.

It’s taken a while, but I’ve changed my mindset about food and nutrition. I now look at it as a way to complement and enhance my training goals and also to support my lifestyle choice of healthy living.

3. What do you enjoy most with training?

There are many things I enjoy about training. For one thing, I appreciate the aesthetics of having a lean, symmetrical and muscular body. If you look at art throughout history, you will see that the heroic male archetype has always been portrayed this way. From the “Riace Warriors” of ancient Greece to Michaelangelo’s “David,” the embodiments of male power, strength and courage are best depicted through a ripped, “chiseled” body.

I look at the body as a piece of art, much like a sculptor looks at a piece of marble. We create the masterpiece of our body, by chipping away at the unessentials, like body fat and unhealthy foods. We mold and shape it by building muscles. In this light, I view my body as an on-going project. It is something that will never be completed but I will continual to work on.

Secondly, I love the feeling I get after a good, intense workout. It is a mixture of seemingly contradictory feelings. On the one hand, you feel strong and powerful as your muscles are pumped full of blood. On the other hand, you feel exhausted and depleted as you’ve used up all your energy. It is a reminder for me actually, about the paradoxical nature of life itself.
Our muscles grow when we break them down. In the same way, we can only grow in life by breaking down our barriers.

Thirdly, I enjoy the positive benefits I get from being in shape. In addition to weight training, I also participate in activities such as basketball, rock climbing and jiu-jitsu. So being in shape, gives me more energy – both physically and mentally. Not only am I able to get more done, but I am also able to focus more clearly. These benefits are highlighted whenever I go for periods of time where I don’t work out. I can sense the change in my physical and mental well-being.

One interesting, yet welcome side effect I’ve noticed is that my posture has improved. By being more aware of my form while I do exercises, I am able to transfer that awareness to my posture. I find myself walking taller and straighter.

4. How do you feel with your new body?

I feel wonderful with my current body. It gives me confidence to know that I have achieved my goals. That sense of accomplishment is great. I am now transferring the principles I learned over to other areas of my life, such as my relationships and career.

Not only is the personal satisfaction worthwhile, but the external responses have been tremendous as well. I’ve received many compliments about my body. It feels good to know that other people appreciate and admire the fruits of your hard work. Guys, no matter what they say, women do prefer a guy who has a nice body.

While the compliments are definitely an ego-boost, they pale in comparison to actually inspiring someone to make a positive change with their own bodies. That is the best feeling I get about working out – the sense of fulfillment that it provides.

5. What could you advice to fellow skinny brothers who want to repeat your success?

My main suggestion for guys who are looking to gain muscle is to cultivate a lifestyle of healthy living. Instead of just thinking of short term gains, envision how having a muscular physique will enhance your overall goal in life. In this way, weight training will become a life-long habit, instead of a short-term fix. It will be something we enjoy doing, rather than something we dread. There’s no sense in doing something that we despise. If we look at weight-training as something we MUST do, then we are FORCING ourselves to work out. Where’s the fun in that?

In order to make healthy living a long-term habit, you must have your own reasons for working out. Don’t do something just because somebody else tells you. All too often, I see people start a weight training program, only to give up after a few days or weeks. They have countless excuses for quitting, yet not one good reason for doing it. That’s because they haven’t made their OWN reasons – they use other people’s reasons. Therefore, they don’t really believe in what they’re doing and once they hit an obstacle, it is easy for them to give up.

Realize that having a muscular body is just one component in the grander picture of living a healthy life. Continual gains, require continual advancements. You shouldn’t stop training once you’ve reached your goals. Aim for constant improvement. If your mindset is one of continual advancement, then you can never fail at achieving your goals, for any seeming failures are actually teaching you how to improve.

6. What are your future goals with training?

I have a few goals on the table at the moment. My first immediate goal is to add 10 lbs of muscle. I just came through a period where my goal was to lose body fat and lean up. Now, that I’ve accomplished this, I would like to go through a phase of clean bulking. I am looking to add 10 lbs of lean muscle. This will be my goal for the next Body Transformation Challenge. Ultimately, I envision my body to be 180 lbs and to maintain that weight at under 10% body fat.

Another goal I have is concerning my diet. I appreciate the benefits of a raw diet. I would like to eliminate animal meats/products from my diet and transition more towards a vegan/raw diet. One of my interests is seeing how this type of diet can support/benefit those of us who enjoy weight training and maintaining a muscular physique. This will be a new adventure for me, but one that I feel will be a great learning and growth experience.

Lastly, I want to be able to share what I learn about weight training, dieting and living a healthy lifestyle with as many people as possible. I feel that life itself is an awesome experience to enjoy and that by living a healthy life, we are best able to gain the most out of it.

Hey guys,

today I want to review an ebook that promises to help guys transform from skinny to buff. It’s actually the most popular ebook about this. And it’s called No Nonsense Muscle Building Time to check if it’s worth the hype it gets. :)

Content

Book is quite long. 215 pages! Lots of info!

It starts with Top 14 Mistakes to avoid and it has good points there. I especially like number 2: Dump the Hardgainer term.

This term is a great disguise for skinny guys who never reach their
true genetic potential. Instead of taking responsibility for your actions,
it’s a lot easier to pull out the ‘hard gainer’ card and flash it to everyone.
It sits by your driver’s license and becomes a part of your identity.

Vince DelMonte

So true, we tend to get attached to this term and think of ourselves as hardgainers which doesn’t make it easier to gain muscle (you have to believe in yourself when doing it, you have to trust yourself that you CAN actually do it!).

The 2nd Chapter is about Top 12 Bodybuilding Myths. He does good job writing that supplements aren’t a magic pill and wont guarantee results if you don’t workout properly and eat a lot. Another great myth he dispels is that guys want to train “to sculpt, tone shape and define”… But the truth is that toned and defined muscles are a reflection of low fat percentage of body fat you have. So if you are skinny guy (duh..) you don’t worry about being ripped, toned, defined etc because you already have very little fat! So just train for strength and not for definition. You have different goal than pro bodybuilders so don’t copy their split routines they are doing and other workout methods!!!!

3rd chapter is all about Building Muscle.

Load of info! Loads! He writes about No-Nonsense Growth Principles which are:

1. Stress must be specific
2. Stress must be above your threshold
3. Stress must be with heavy weights!
4. Stress must be with high-reps
5. Stress must be progressive overload
6. Stress must be intense
7. You MUST recover from stress
8. Stress must be short and infrequent
9. Stress must achieve maximum results with minimum amount of work

I can’t write about them in detail because that would be giving away paid content for free, but each of them (except of high reps in my opinion) is golden. If you read the book, you will learn about them!

Chapter 4 writes about recovery methods. And recovery is very very important. Unfortunately, skinny guys underestimate it and want to workout 5 times a week instead of 3 wasting precious recovery!

Chapter 5 is about Hormones and how they affect Muscle growth or Fat loss. Chapter 6 is irrelevant for us since it’s about fat loss.

Now the most important thing in gaining muscle is eating and chapter 7 is devoted to it. It’s 40 pages of info. He writes about what to eat, when to eat, why nutrition is so important, explains how much you need to eat and all other basics you need to know about nutrition.

Other chapter is about supplements, how to choose them, explains how different types of supps work and which you can buy, other one is about injuries and it’s prevention.

Last chapter is the workout program itself. It contains tons of info again. Basics explained, tables provided about how many sets, reps and exercises to do. It’s like 60+ pages long. Definitely a comprehensive guide.

Conclusion

If I was new, had money and needed to learn from a good, trustable system, I would buy this one! I seriously think this is the best book written yet about this topic. I encourage everyone who wants to have a simple, easy to understand advice to buy this book. Seriously!! You actually get video lessons too and some free reports! Huge load of info!

This is a guest post by a fellow blogger who helps people with fitness and life Scott Marcaccio. He shares his insights on how to succeed at gaining muscle! And he is very right so read this one for sure! ;)

Day in and day out you pound the weights, you drink your protein shakes, and you try to eat properly… Why isn’t the scale moving? Why do I look the exact same!? Doesn’t that frustrate you? Let’s cover the biggest reason you will get frustrated in the gym – you aren’t getting the results you want quickly enough.

The Results You Can’t See

Bigger. Stronger. Harder. You’re not going to see results like this after a week in the gym. Sorry to all of you who fell for the get jacked overnight ads, but it takes time to build a physique that stands out from the crowd.

Here’s the key – You usually won’t see the results until the majority of the work is already done. The effects of your choices aren’t noticeable right away. When you make the right choice, you won’t see the results today. When you make the wrong choice, you won’t see the results today.
When you hit the gym, have a killer workout where you push yourself harder than you’ve ever pushed before, go home and drink your post-workout protein shake and carbohydrates exactly as you’re supposed to… do you wake up the next morning with pounds of new muscle?
If that was the way it worked, even your grandma would be hella swole. That was the right choice though, wasn’t it? It was… and if you keep making those right choices, and keep crushing it every day, that’s when you will start to get the results you want. There are things happening behind the curtain that we aren’t aware of.
What You Should Focus On

The most frustrated people I know are the ones who gauge all of their progress on their results. If you stay focused on the actions, and take those actions day in and day out, that’s when they start to add up to results. The results come LAST – remember this! Consistency in taking action needs to be your best friend.

Beat your poundages. Beat your calorie goal. Beat your “days consistent” record. Over weeks you will start to make noticeable gains. It doesn’t happen over night, but it DOES happen.

Focus on your progression and stop questioning every single damn thing you’re doing when you come across some new information. Here’s an obvious fact – there’s a hell of a lot of conflicting advice in this industry. Start with what’s logical and try that for a few weeks. If it works, great – if not, change it. You’ll be in a much better place when you have actual real-world experience with a routine, a diet, or a supplement rather than staying in theory mode.

Why Most People Fail

They’re damn inconsistent. They’ll eat like a champion one day, and like an anorexic model the next three. That’s why it is SO important to just make small tweaks to your habitual eating patterns, and overhaul your diet over a period of weeks or months. If you set up a 6-meal a day plan that’s completely different than what you’re eating, I can guarantee you that you’re going to fall into the champion/anorexic model within a few days.

If you’re not gaining weight, don’t throw everything out the window! 9 times out of 10, it’s your nutrition that’s holding you back. Make small tweaks – add in a protein shake here, some olive oil there, some peanut butter in meal 3, whatever. It’s a very, very easy problem to fix. But DO NOT throw everything out the window. Work with your current habits.

Calories are easy to find. Check out my video on how to add 1200 clean calories per day in 90 seconds.

Keep Crushing It

You’re on the warpath. Make sure you have the right tactics. Settle on a routine you’re going to commit to for 12 weeks. Write yourself out a food plan with foods that are actually available to you given the circumstances. It’s much easier to add to what you’re already habitually eating than to throw everything out the window. Then it’s time for action. Stop. Thinking.

Take a full set of pictures every 2 weeks to compare progress.

Weigh yourself once a week at the same time, with the same clothes (or lack of clothes) on.

Now CRUSH IT! Stop asking questions, stop getting obsessive-compulsive about your sets and reps, and just focus on taking those small little actions day after day. Adjust your tactics as the results from the scale, pictures, and strength in the gym give you your feedback.

Those small little actions add up in a huge way to a physique that will make people’s jaws drop.

Now that I’m back to in the gym after a pause I got to learn this lesson again…. Do what you hate!!!!!Why??

Cuz doing that will give you most important/best results!!!

I hate leg training. But now I’m doing two leg exercises per workout!!! Legs are my weakest link (and most skinny guys have this problem too) and they will require most work probably! I have real trouble making myself finish last sets of leg presses (4th and 5th) after I have already done 5 sets of squats at the start of workout…

But I will make myself do it! And it will pay off! I hope you will too! Hope this short message will make you think a bit about your weakest/most hated muscle groups and exercises and will inspire you to do them!!!

Cheers,

Well, I “JFDIed” it. And JFDI means…

Just Fucken Do It!

I was procrastinating for two months, giving excuses like I have no gym shoes, no time (since I’m working on a new job and a new online project, they both eat time but there is still time for gym to be made). And at the same time I was like”wtf… I never had problems with motivation, what’s up now???..and I’m supposed to help guys get motivated and gain muscle..not fail myself.. “.

I don’t really know why I lost it, but to regain it, you just have to get going. Literally, I just left my home, and during 25 minute walk to gym ( it’s far from home and I don’t have car), I started remembering why I loved the gym, I imagined myself bench pressing weights, squatting and how I liked the atmosphere at the gym. And I was already happier at that moment. I still love the gym I realized. After a workout I was already planning my next workout and how I would deadlift etc. My motivation is back, baby!! ;)

So this is just a simple, short post I wanted to share today with you. Again, this journey of gaining muscle is not easy, but it is simple!! ;)

Cheers,
Adrian
