WiGig is looking to really shake things up in the wireless world.  They have developed a wireless technology that has gigabit transfer speeds.  And, since most of the people that aren't working on a desktop computer are using wireless, this is obviously a big deal.  Wired has the details.

As reports of Apple and Verizon talks hit the wires, so too did reports that Microsoft was tasting the idea of developing an iPhone killer for the Verizon network.
